This is Part 3, shows the heavy root pruning, rinsing it off with water, and the final potting of this informal upright Shohin size bonsai, from the Dwarf Gardenia plant that I got from the nursery. Hope it grows well since it is one of my favorite flowering plants.

thanks for sharing. I just bought my first gardenia at Lowe's for $7. Got it home and began to repot when I noticed it was 3 seperate gardenias in 1 pot. Score! I'm very much looking forward to seeing how they do. Thanks again for sharing.

Working on a Gardenia "Frost Proof" myself right now. =) May try to find one they have more slender leaves then the one in your video here. They also seem to respond very well to pruning and wiring. Would like to see an update on this Gardenia!

What about raking then trimming the roots to train and create a radial root pattern. This will be very useful as your bonsai matures. Good luck.

I have never thought of putting a plant in a container of water while repotting. It seems so obvious now!
