Part of me wants nice, curated perfectly to my tastes bookshelves but then the other part of me wants every single book I can fit (plus some overfill) to create an overflowing library of books I have mixed opinions on and that part of me is winning at the moment (RIP my bank account)

I love "Crime and Punishment" and think it's much better than "The Idiot". I recommend it and think you'll find it's worth the time you invest in reading it. It raises many thought provoking philosophical questions and the detective in it is interesting. I notice you've read many Existentialist books. I'd love to hear your thoughts on these books (maybe in a future video) and how they mesh with your personal philosophy. Have you ever read the plays "Waiting for Godot" or "No Exit"?

you should read notes on underground by Fyodor Dostoevsky! It's only 100 something pages long and apparently gives you a taste of his writing style for Crime and Punishment. The book itself is fantastic and despite the dark matter, I have never related to a narrator more, as most people find, he draws out our darkest thoughts and makes you really think, its a five star for sure!

Cool, I am in 3rd year of BioMed, Guyton and Hall's Textbook of Medical Physiology is one of the favorite books of all time. I see you like neuroscience, I know the books you showed, but personally I used Principles of Neural Science, by Eric Kandel, i highly recommend it if you are into it, is more then double the length of Bear's Neuroscience. Kandel's textbook I consider to be my favorite non-fiction book of all time. What do you intent to do with a BioMed degree? Research, Clinical Analysis at a Hospital, etc.?

I prefer Brothers Karamazov to the idiot and Crime and punishment... But maybe it depends on what you didn't like about the Idiot..... I personally couldn't stand the characters, events and where the story was going, lol.. Angelfall was awesome. I fell in love with it. I remember when it was supposed to be 6 books, but somehow was decided to be only 3. And the 3rd book, the finale, was awful and such a let down. The 1st and 2nd are awesome. But the 3rd one still upsets me. Seems like she just got bored of the story or something. I remember being so disappointed because it was a 5* star story before that.
