Yeah. It was really bad this time. The sound file got corrupted because I unplugged my mic before I stopped recording. I tried to salvage it but it was still messed up.

@@thebradcolbow you could’ve converted the audio to mono to fix it!! If you have a problem with it sounding on the side converting it to mono will fix it. You could also separate the stereo tracks and turn up the side that is less audible :)

Hey Brad I’m getting a Spectre x360 15” with the pen and I’m stoked. It’s taken a couple of months to get shipped. Got the i7 with the 4 k display with 12 mb l3 cache, 4 cores+16 go memory and Amoled. Ordered it on Christmas Eve they dropped the price $300. Can’t wait til Thursday.

Hey Brad - that 4K screen you ordered? That's what your graphic card is driving. The card won't be much good for heavy 3D but it makes the screen work.

Its hard to find budget laptops with good stylus support. But he recently did a review on Hp Envy X360..the ryzen 3 edition is quite powerful and relatively cheap

Will you be reviewing the updated Asus ZenBookDuo 2 (more affordable and both screen use MPP Pen) also much cheaper than this year and you don't have to get the pro version for both screen's to use the pen. Also Adobe has integrated software for Photoshop etc with digital shortcut keys and adjustment nobs. Hopefully that MPP doesn't have that same old line jitter.

I hate Wacoms preferential treatment toward chromebooks. I get it. Having windows laptops with EMR displays competes with your own market , i guess. But this is the *same* thing - except now it's like punishing the artists for wanting more accessibile apps and hardware over the clearly less useful for artists Chromebook

Hey Brad, Been really binging your vids to find a worthy option for my gf to start learning Photoshop. Right now she got a Wacom One from Best Buy only cause she's impatient about getting a good one delivered. After watching your top 2020 picks you have down the Galaxy Tab S7+ and earlier this week a new update for "One UI 3.1" allows you to "Second Screen" your pc hdmi(Givin you're using WiDI(Wireless Display dongle) to your Tab S7+ with full touchscreen functionality. What I'd like to know is if this means you could run Windows 10 Photoshop using your Tab S7+. Could you test this? (1:03) I find it weird that they have FreeDOS as an option, but I believe HP uses that just to make it load something if it's ordered without an installed OS. Of course, I'd still order it with Windows Pro in order to increase the resale value and have a (in this case) HP factory image to backup and then restore when selling it.

The other reason it is so expensive is all the security you get that is business orientated, also the vapor chamber. That thing is amazing. You forgot to mention the speakers- they are good for a windows laptop. The cons I'd list myself are the thermals (runs hot) and the 720 webcam which is shocking, & not in keeping with the rest of the specs & build. Just my 2 cents. Oh and no privacy switch for the camera.

Hey Brad, I recently bought a Dell 9410. It got delivered with a dead screen, so I'm still waiting for a replacement to try it out. It's supposed to use Wacom pen technology, but I couldn't find many reviews on it, and nothing regarding the drawing experience. Why did this model not get the Brad Cowboy treatment?

Because the wacom pen tech isn't EMR. Most laptops that use Wacom use AES. It's not worth looking at

@@HPoppington It highly depends on the laptop. Unfortunately AES and MPP are incredibly inconsistent across the laptops that use them. For instance, one of the best MPP devices last year was a budget HP Pavillion convertible - while the Spectre AND Envy of the same year were terrible in comparison. You really do have to test your luck with them for the most part

being fran: you'll want to get a higher power device like a gaming laptop with a separate drawing tablet. There aren't cheap - or even midrange laptops with stylus support that can give you good render times for animation and video. They don't have the GPUs for it. There was one that was planned, but never came (2020 version of Asus Zenbook Flip S with GTX 1660). You should look for a gaming laptop with at least a GTX 1050 (for NVENC) and a Huion Kamvas that fits your size needs. It *should* be around $1500 altogether.

While NVENC is HUGE for cutting down render times, if you're willing to cut that, there are plenty of lapops with mid range GPUs like the GTX1650. The GTX 1050 isn't terrible either - just bland. There should be several laptops with those for around $900. If you don't care about build quality you've got plenty of options.

At this price point, it looks like we're paying for the design as well, and that's totally okay, but if you're looking for performance, I think there are better choices. Ex: the Lenovo P1 Gen 2 or 3 For less than the HP, you can have a Core I9, and the laptop is also light and very portable.

Wouldn't rule this out completely as HP likes to do the same thing as Lenovo where they mark the sticker price super high and have the prebuilt models constantly on sale. Prices should drop to about the same range in a month or two.

That would be really complicated for him,just get amd 5(zen 2 or 3) or i5(gen 7-10 maybe even 6) and around 8gb of ram and you are good to go. You could go ryzen 3 zen 3 too. Theres way to much to cover on pc side of things way too much combinations and so on

One important and quite bad downside - if you open the screen on your lap and you are in shorts, you will clamp your skin in between the screen bottom and the weird end triangle-shaped back wall of the laptop :( For me, the no-go was the USB-C that does not support external monitor connectivity while charging :(

No Xeon? I have a 2019 G5 z book studio with a Xeon CPU. Seems the chasis is the exact same as my G5. With smaller bezels. But without the camera shudder for the webcam. The G7 create definitely isnt a replacement for the Zbook Studio. More like a down grade.

Con: It's not configurable enough to ask for something "less" than a 2070. What if I wanna settle for a 1070? That could bring the price down to 1600 instead of 2700. What if I wanna stop at 8GB ram? sure there are other laptops that do it, but the configurable aspect of this one, could offer those lesser features for maybe a discounted price compared. Also, 2070 is very quickly becoming just as outdated as the 1070, and barely does enough. Everyone is gonna want the 3080 now, and most games run on ultra settings with it, including cyberpunk. If you do 3D work, having something like a 3080 is really important (according to my friend that does amazing 3D work). This laptop is too expensive, and relies too heavily on one series of graphics card.

I didn't I think would've come to say it but right now it looks like m1 macs are gonna be much more convenient and powerful... it's ridiculous how in few months Apple completely shifted the tables... I just hope Microsoft starts to seriously push the ARM technology ,but considered the vast Windows pc eco-system they control it's gonna be a hard challenge, even if they were the first to attempt the transition..

Not really. You can get budget gaming computers for less than $1000 and it would outperform the MacBook Air. ARM technology is great for mobile devices but it's not replacing intel for power desktop devices any time soon. Heating is still an issue with Intel laptops...
