@AthenisKS815 жыл бұрын
@@LibraGamesUnlimited When they basically had Borg in Necropolis I gave up caring and went in to mindless entertainment mode. I couldn't do that with Rave though, it was just too bad for even that low bar. But I think their plan had been to do what 1 and 2 did with the same cast but as different characters. It wasn't the best thing to try again, given that it was something in 2 that people didn't care much for. 3 is special to me I guess, it is the first one I saw and made me a big fan of Melinda Clarke. It felt more psychological with it having the parallel with depression and self harm. Temporary relief from the real problem, but it lasts less and less time the more it is done. Maybe I'm just reading too much in to it, I just thought her character was really well done. There's a pretty good documentary about them if you haven't it, called More Brains. So Tim took the footage the studio gave him, painstakingly restored his cut of the film AT HIS OWN HOUSE, because he had the TV distribution rights Tim made sure his version was the one that aired on basic cable and there wasn't a damn thing the Studio could do about it.

I managed to find this on blu ray and I love it. I have always really loved this movie for how cheesy it is and finding it on blu ray was wonderful.

Surprised you didn't mention that the ending with burnt Tom Atkins and the Aliens in the cemetery was the Director's Cut ending. The theatrical version ending had the dog coming back and infecting Cynthia. Love this movie and this review. It's a favorite of mine to watch on Halloween.
@ferreirj1235 жыл бұрын
There is an alternate ending where Cynthia goes to pet the dog in front of the burning house and the dog spits out a slug. They don't show the aliens searching in the cemetery.

Brandon reviewed the restored/director-cut version. The original theatrical/VHS cut has the infected dog ending. I don't think the original cut is even available for sale now.

“It's Miller Time" is a reference to Miller Beer and the Miller commercials of the 80s. “If you've got the time, we've got the beer. Miller Beer." 🍻

3:50 that comment was so disgusting. Bad Brendon! Bad! (continues to watch video...) 10:50 wow! There’s so many zingers in this video Hostess might have to file a copyright strike. 18:39 Miller is like Coors: a cheap beer with a great tag line, which is what he says

'Killers" is a good album. Gotta luv Eddie, always nice to see him at their concerts back in the day, and the Iron maiden Album art was killer too. Sad the loss of vinyl album art, now.
