Great segment. Thanks for thinking about the solo gamers.

Love the intro haha! I haven't played Viticulture solo but I've played against the Automa on Scythe and it worked really well so I'm sure it does for other Stonemeier games as well. Really clever design!

Nick, thanks for doing this! I recently found that I am solo gaming more often because my schedule makes gaming with others a bit complicated. I appreciate your taking this on as a non-solo gamer since it will give a different perspective to the reviews you give. Great series. I hope you find the process interesting enough to continue!

Thank you! I would also choose to play with others over solo but can think of a few scenarios where it can be helpful. 1) Some people do not have a group so it could be a matter of playing solo or not at all. 2) A solo mode can be helpful if you are going to teach and want to do a playthrough first. 3) If you play a game of solo, then learning multi-player will probably be easier. But ultimately, if I play solo, it triggers me to connect with others and invite them to a board game night but can help me practice so I can teach it.

Plan on picking up Viticulture(and Dungeon Petz) based on your recommendation, so this was cool to watch. Great idea for a series btw!

This series is going to be a lot of fun. I know you guys love Baseball Highlights. It's pretty fun solo. The opponent starts with 15 free agents, so even though they don't play intelligently, all their cards are good. Also, this effect happens that's similar to what you mentioned with the automa blocking the perfect spot; your opponent will often play the perfect card to kill your plans.

This is cool! I'm often having to play solo or not at all, so it'll be a good series to see some other options out there. I've tried some other solo games lately and it's more like "see if this time you can score more than you did last time!" or "you can play solo if you just mimic playing an 2nd player". The way this game sets up in solo mode is different, and I like it! Closing song - LOL I sing that too! Though maybe not with the pizzazz that you do :) Until next time! #LessThanThree

Looking forward to this segment Nick! I've not played any games solo as of yet but think I'll give a game a go if you play anything I currently own!

Great video! I noticed, though, that you demoed it with the Tuscany expansion board and not the base game board. Biggest difference is that there are more seasons, plus that little map on the side. Thought I'd point it out.

This game playing solo is fun and a bit stressful in a good way! So many times I’ll be playing thinking there’s no way I’m goin to win and on the last turn I pull ahead with a victory! Thanx

I play Gloomhaven solo which is pretty well balanced. I've played a couple of teaching scenarios with 3 or 4 players at meetups and it's so much to setup and take down. It's just easier to leave it setup at home and play solo or host a teaching game at home. I did just get viticulture but I haven't gotten to play it yet. Maybe I'll try it solo first.
