I just love how you explain about this product..so smooth and accurate. I'm using the inkey list Salicylic Acid facial wash (super duper good) but apparently I'm convinced to switched it with Cerave since it has amazing ingredients that the inkey list don't have. But honestly I love all the Cerave product, I found this product so effective yet affordable.

For real, I’m glad I’m starting as a teen. Prevention is much easier than treatment. Though in my case it’s treating acne and preventing aging. It’ll be preventing acne too once it’s finally gone: which is almost there, just a little left.

I love this cleanser - I've noticed that the blackheads on and around my nose are gone. I can feel it dissolve the gunk on my chin, too. At the end of a long day, my chin seems to attract so much grime. This product works beautifully for me, and I wouldn't have tried it without the information in this video! I use a 20% glycolic acid pad twice a week right after using the SA cleanser - I must have rhino skin because I don't get any adverse reactions at all, just a slight tingling that disappears quickly. I use Differin gel every night, except the acid-pad nights, and the CeraVe vitamin C serum in the morning under my sunscreen. It's been a couple of months now and I can already see fewer deep wrinkles. My skin feels wonderful.

I use the hydrating cleanser also. The SA cleanser will exfoliate so use it at night when you feel like a good deep down cleanse. Then follow up with the hyluronic acid when skin is wet. Don’t be shy with it. Not sure of your routine but if you just moisturize after this you can mix your hyluronic acid and your moisturizer together and apply on wet skin. Then a facial oil or a balm used next. All over face neck chest. Josie Maran Argan Infinity is very good a little goes a long way and has beautiful results!

I love this cleanser and it’s the only thing that got rid of my skin color bumps. I also have dry, highly sensitive skin with rosacea, but my skin bumps were never red, unless my skin was flared from rosacea. No other product could get rid of them, despite various visits to dermatologists. I rubbed my face with the cleanser and left it on for 10 minutes. Next day the bumps which were on my face for the last six months have disappeared. Miracle 🎉🎉🎉

UPDATE 1: I just used this for the first time tonight and I can say that, with just one use, I can feel how soft it left my skin. Like, sooooo soft. The only issue I had was that it kinda burned a little around my nose but maybe I just dried my nose too much? Aside from that, every thing has been great 👍. EDIT: I have some red around my nose (not from the product I just woke up like that one day) maybe the product irritated that because that skin is more sensitive? I guess I'll see.

I actually did my research on ingredients and as cerave says they keep updating ingredients list, > The European cleanser has it's salicylic acid on 16 while us one on 17. >the US one has glycerin on 3rd while European one on fourth > the US cleanser has slightly stronger foaming agent in it as compared to the European one. Otherwise both are gentle > both have niacinamide on 5th. > European one has a lil more hyaluronic acid than us one. > European one has enlisted ceramides 1 no before the us ones so it means slightly more. > in the us it's sa renewing cleanser while in UK n Europe it's smoothing cleanser.

OK, i guess i can go back to using this cleanser as my 2nd cleanse at night. I stopped using it because i use a lot of serums like vitamin c, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, alpha arbutin and retinol so I switched to just a gentle cleanser to keep it simple coz i was worried that I am already putting a lot while using this. since you mentioned that it is ok to use with vitamin c and niacinamide serum separately from what it has in it already then i feel ok using this again. thank you,.

I’ve been trying my best to learn more about skincare and it was my understanding that you’re not supposed to use chemical exfoliators (BHA or AHA) in conjunction with vit C because it’s irritating.. is it not true? Or is it acceptable in this case because we wash off the cleanser? And is it ok to use this cleanser at night before my retinol?

Can you talk about double cleansing? I just started using Tamanu oil to remove makeup and oils and then rinse with a cleanser. It’s worked so well for me! I have rosacea so even gentle cleansers can irritate me but doing the double cleansing really helps.

I have such sensitive skin! I’ve used literally everything, proactive, curology, X out, I’ve used aveeno, a bunch of nutrogena, even black bare soap and cetaphil. And even things my doctors recommended and put me on. All this broke me out. I just started using only water on my face and it’s helped. But I will try this

You probably shouldn’t use a retinol after any exfoliate, your skin is more sensitive and to put something as strong as a retinol could irritate/damage skin.

Just found this video! After having searched for this cleanser unsuccessfully last year, I found a bottle in a random Ulta. I washed my face with it today, and it burned my skin and left it so red! I do have sensitive skin and rosacea - but the darn thing was so expensive I hope I might be able to build up a tolerance for it, it did do an incredible job cleaning my face. If I can't manage it I'll see if I can use it on my body. :)

kinda proud of myself, this is the first product i've picked up by myself since getting into skincare and ingredients. It sounds like a great alternative to my holiforg superior omega gel wash, which I absolutely love it but its $36 and i don't wanna use that twice a day. I wasn't aware it already had niacinamide in it, would it be overkill to use my Ordinary niacinamide 10% with this? I'm fighting against super deep acne scars, texture, and fine lines, and breakouts on my chin and neck area. (whiteheads and cyst) I also use the paula's choice 2% BHA, which i adore, along with cerve moisturizer. How do I know if i'm exfoliating my skin too much when it comes to chemical exfoliators? Guess I'll try and see lol! Can't be worse than that time I was a teenager and tried exfoliating my skin with sugar and half a bottle of lemon extract lol.

What you’ve been saying about glycolic acid and salicylic acid is the complete opposite to every other educational source online. I have always researched and heard that salicylic acid penetrates deeper BECAUSE it is oil soluble, which makes sense since our pores and face have oil in them. Glycolic acid and other AHAs are more gentle because they are only water soluble, which prevents them from going deep into the pores.
@SamMKKK
@SamMKKK 3 жыл бұрын
Well if you think about it, since oil concentrates most at the topmost layers of the skin, it makes sense that salicylic acid will remain at those superficial layers. Glycolic acid being both more acidic, water soluble, and molecularly smaller thus allows it to penetrate through that and other non-superficial layers, according to Dr Dray.

Not sure about an exfoliator, but I’ve heard good things about aveeno ultra calming cream cleanser. For redness. I use cetaphil redness relieving daily moisturizer as an indoor sunscreen bc I get red & blotchy sometimes & it works so well in reducing it. It has a tint to it so I use it instead of makeup.

Very informative video. If this product is centered around SA, why is it SA so far down on the ingredients list? Also, they don’t disclose the percentage of SA. Which makes me think they are using the inclusion of SA to sell more product. How does this cleanser compare to La Roche Possay Effaclar Medicated gel cleanser with 2.5% SA?
@gavfish8373
@gavfish8373 2 жыл бұрын
I know this comment is old but basically I think this has 2% SA in it which is why the acid is low on the ingredient list. I’m pretty sure if the SA was first on the ingredients it would burn your face off 😭
