Started playing when pepe was a thing was my first deck that i played for like 14 days. It got hit fast. Then i played mermail and now im back playing this endymion.

Great video as always. Gonna run this deck with some changes this weekend at regionals. Changes due to the fact i dont have all the cards. One note on the last combo. When you had you Citadel with 1 counter and your servant with 0 counters. You played wisdom to search for magister and you gave both the Citadel and the servant 2 counters. That was wrong. You only give 1 counter to a card for every wisdom and spell power grasp you control or have in the grave. You only had one so you only get to give 1 counter. Than when it resolved they each get 1 counter due to their own effects. But despite this small mistake it doesn't change the combo so it still works.

Wait so just putting a pendulam card in the pen zone counts as activeing a spell. Which in turns gives a spell counter to cards that can hold them? If any can help with this I would be real grateful cause I love pendulam just want to make sure I'm playing them right.

@@noisehero4409 Guardragons? How are u supposed to summon those in a spellcaster deck? Pendulum magicians are just here to provide scales to summon Endymion, but it's easy enough to summon alone. All u need are the Endymion cards, the mythical beasts, and mythical institution. I did some testing with this build, and i ended using it's own effect more than pendulum summoning it. The pendulum magician engine is just too bricky.

MOYGO Master Of Yu-Gi-Oh the engine fits well. It adds more negates and big beater monsters. Most cases its an auto win.

@@MaliEndz the Guardragons don't do anything unless two monsters point to the same zone. Are u really gonna summon one to a zone saryuja or zefra metaltron point to just to be locked to summoning dragons while it's on the field? Amorphage sloth prevents you from summoning anything from the extra deck except amorphages while it's in a monster zone, and this build only has one amorphage monster, so why play it? I don't know about y'all, but i refuse to be locked to dragons in a spellcaster based deck.

MOYGO Master Of Yu-Gi-Oh but you won’t be locked to only dragons. You special summon a dragon with Elpy then link Elpy and the other dragon to go into Agrapain then use it to special summon something from your extra deck most likely Odd eyes. Then you go into Hieratic seals with Agra and Elpy. The Guardragons only lock you out as long as they are on the field. Alot of competitive Endymion deck uses them because they guarantee you a powerful monster that can negate anything. Then you make the rest of your plays afterwards. Its pretty much an Auto win because this combo guarantees at least 3 negates with a disruption from Seals.

For the destruction effect of Ignister to pop a scale don’t you also have to shuffle a card on the field since it reads: “Once per turn: You can target 1 Pendulum Monster on the field or 1 Pendulum Monster in the Pendulum Zone; destroy it, and if you do, shuffle 1 card in the field into the Deck” Or am I just confused

Hey Cali, good job. But there is one minor misplay in your combo tutorial before 13:00, where you used Electrumite to destroy the scale. Because of Pendulum call, scales cannot be destroyed until the end of the next turn, so that effect won‘t apply. I had to learn it the hard way on ygopro 😅

Éon Phinxon pendulum call states “magician cards in your pendulum zone cannot be destroyed...” He destroys king gate zero which is a fiend/pendulum

In your last combo you started out by putting an extra counter on the board that shouldn’t exist. Spell power mastery only allows you to put one extra spell counter and you put 2. Then you proceeded to use citadels effect to remove counters from itself twice in one turn when it says only once per turn. And just as a minor correction, jackal king himself just says to remove the counters from the field. You don’t need citadels effect to help with jackal negating monster effects.

Kata 77 called by the grave i understand, and it absolutely helps this deck a lot. however, hand traps in combo decks like this brick your hand and cause you to start off with less resources which is absolutely necessary in decks like this.

Yo yo wait a second, at the end 17:42, you can't do this... You start with citadel, and then using servant of endymion... Citadel gain 1 spell counter. You use Spell Power Mastery and search for magister of endymion. Counting spell power you controll on your field or in GY and those are the counter thats you can put on whetever card you like. In that case you have just one spell power mastery. Soo... 1 spell counter remaining. Citadel and servant activate effect, Citadel reach 2 Counter and Servand 1 counter. You use up your remaining spell counter on servant... that means it goes Citadel with 2 and servant with 2... not 3 on citadel and 2 on servant. If you activate magister you go on a 3 - 3 counter

When you said that Jackal King doesn't look like he can use his effect, are you implying that his effect can be uses by using the cost effect of Citadel that allows you to remove spell counters from the field spell instead? Because it doesn't need that effect from the fact that Jackal King can remove counters from anywhere and not just himself.

You seemed to be adding an extra counter when you used Spell Power Mastery in the final combo. You put 2 counters on each for a total of 4, but you had no other copies of the card or Grasp in the graveyard, so you only get to add 1 counter on top of the 2 from the field spell/pendulum card themselves.

@@thecalieffect Yes that's where the 1 counter comes from. The field spell and the pendulum monster get 1 counter each because a spell was activated. Then it counts the amount of Spell Power Masterys and Grasps you have on field/in grave. You had just the 1 card, so you can then place up to a total of 1 additional counter.

Abnner Navarro Pendulum cards are only sent from the *field* to the extra deck whenever they’d go to the graveyard. If a pendulum card is sent from the hand, deck or detached as XYZ material it goes to the graveyard like a normal card. Also, Foolish Burial is limited meaning you can only have 1 copy per deck. He says “two foolish burials” because Dragon Shrine does the same thing as foolish burial, but only for Dragons. So, 1 Foolish Burial and 1 Dragon Shrine.

Aldazier Madrik Dragon Shrine does the same thing as Foolish Burial (but only for Dragons). A lot of experienced players like to refer to cards that have similar effects or purposes as other, more well known cards, by that more well known card’s name. Foolish Burial is limited atm (only allowed 1 copy per deck) so he plays Dragon Shrine to technically have “two foolish burials”. A little weird I know.

Ignister allows you to target one card you control and destroy it then you can shuffle one card on the field back in the deck then he allows you to special summon a dracoslayer monster from your deck in defense position, ignister does not allow him to draw

Servant will get one after the effect of Mastery resolves, so grab your Endymion card, then give Servant 1 Counter, then Servant gains another counter since the effect activated and resolved

Can someone help me understand WHY magicians? They are cool, but they have to be destroyed by battle or card effect. For example, Black fang does what Medusa does plus adds a spell counter. Considering we are looking to revive someone.

Because Magicians lets you access level 8 Synchros and Rank 4 XYZ with 1 card through Harmonizing, lets you run Duelist Alliance/Pendulum Call for free scales and 1-2 counters, and Black Fang doesn't have to be the only card in scale to use his revival effect. So basically, you get more utility, more consistency, and less situational effects compared to something like Medusa.

Cali. "I dont run absolute because I dont run lvl 7s" Zero=lvl 7, jackel= lvl 7, MMM=lvl 7, so thats 6 lvl 7s. + 2 level 4 tuners and 2 level 3 monsters sync into MBD summon the zero from scale and then XYZ into absolute then link off absolute for the vortex

Gate 0 is used as a scale, Jackal is a 6, if you're using 2 Endymion to XYZ you're doing something wrong

Borreload is good, Borrelsword is better since if you ever go second you can use a guardragon engine and go for a quick OTK or atleast a major hit while still having Negates on the field ready to stop everything your opponent does
