You know what Jackson?/Human beings are the most disgusting pieces of filth on this planet. Complaining about animals. Who cares IF they are dumb. It is what makes them loving. Humans aren't dumb, and look at us now. Disgusting creatures. I love all animals. I tried to be vegan for a long time, and still would be if my body allowed it. Humans should kiss animals' feet and thank them for all they have done for their lausy race.

You should check out stories like Grumpy Cat, Wilfred Warrior and Simon's Cat. Also, why do the cats have strange reactions whenever their back ends get scratched or brushed, why do cats made weird noises when they eat and drink and what are the six-toed cats?

Cat question: why is it that male cats seem to become "parents" for kittens that come into the home, whereas female cats ignore them? Have observed this several times, the makes bathe them and sleep with them. Super sweet ❣️. Thank you 🐾

I think that a video about "difficult" adoption types would be neat. Sometimes people are afraid of different cats at the shelters just because they hear their histories. Our cat came from a home with 50 cats. It took almost a week to get him to stop hissing at us. I was afraid he might have litter box issues, but he is doing great (no accidents). He has been with us for 6 months now and has not hissed for several months and is a sweetie. He loves getting attention from us.

I got my orange boy because my Siamese needed a friend. He was lonely and bored. So we went to the shelter and asked “which one is super playful and won’t mind being randomly tackled?” They showed us Prince and told us he had been returned twice for his quirks. We just celebrated 2 years with him. He and my Siamese are best friends and the vet techs at my vet LOVE him.

We got a void kitten from a accidental litter. Quickly we noticed she needs a friend so we obsessively looked for a friend that would fit her hyper playful nature. When I saw the first photos of my ginger boy I fell in love instantly. The first photo you could just see that face of pure mischief. We where told he is hyper playful and never stops and though he is playful and hyper he still can't keep up with her. They are still great friends though and will literally groom each other in mid play wrestle. He is a total derp and will try to cause mischief when we aren't looking but he is the sweetest most lovable tolerant boy.

I have a cat that is half Siamese. We got her as a friend for our tabby who became very despondent when our older cat died. It backfired big time. She absolutely hated the little Siamese kitten, and the poor little kitten had no one to play with :( So a few months later we rescued a little orange kitten who needed a home. He was so playful and hyper! It was nearly impossible to even take his picture when he was little because he never stopped moving unless he was sleeping. Orange boy and Siamese girl became instant friends 😊 Our wild little tabby never did warm up to either of them despite all our efforts and patience. We showered little tabby girl with affection and continued to try to put her first so that she would know how much we still love her. It’s been about three years. Siamese girl and orange boy continue to be best friends, and our wild little tabby girl still hates them both, but we love her anyway and we try to give them all equal attention. Our kitties are our family ❤

My orange cat taught me how to walk as a baby. He'd stand next to me and hold his tail straight up for me to hold while I walked. He'd stay under my stroller and hiss at any stranger approaching. He also followed my mom and I to the daycare ( 3 blocks away) and stay there no matter the weather until my mom came back to bring me home. He was very smart and he lived to be 18 years old. Best cat ever.

My mother felt terrible when I would joke about how stupid our orange boy was. Wow was I wrong as could be. He learned to tell time and would escort my dad home from the train station. 4 windy, hilly blocks each way. He knew when to leave the house, and would pick my father out of the crowd of commuters, to safely escort him home. He would play all sorts of games with my dad, and his paws were fast as lightning. 19 wonderful years. He was many things, but no threat of being dumb.

My parents have an orange cat that's now 22 years old.All his life he's been calm, friendly and intelligent. He's never destroyed anything or gone super wild, he listens and obeys when you tell him to stop if he's doing something he's not supposed to. The last ten years he's been able to walk around the garden himself, and he stays close. Sometimes other cats shows up, and he's always friendly to them and not at all territorial. He's even made friends with some. When I think about it... he's a very odd cat. Nice, but odd.

I have a female cream orange tabby who just has the most cattitude I've ever seen. Knocking things over, immediately climbing into any open kitchen cabinet, jumping in the bathtub after I've showered only to panic when its a bit wet, trying to chew electrical cords, trying to drink out of our water glasses when her own water dish is RIGHT THERE... keeping her safe is hard, but keeping her entertained is hella easy. And she's super loving! She watches us come and go out the window and greets us at the door like a dog!

I grew up on a farm, so I've known quite a few orange cats. Most were just the friendliest little guys, but the one that made the most impact was our 3rd indoor cat Pickles. Loved that man and I'll never forget him. RIP Pickus ❤

I had a cat named Pickles but he was black with white hairs speckled within, the vet called it salty pepper hair. His Mama had some difficulty giving birth to him and had bit the top of his head to pull him out of her. It left a big open wound and we thought he wasn't going to live but his Mama's TLC healed him, however, I think that head sore caused him to be a little low on the cat IQ scale.

The Jorts and Jean thing is partly a phenomenon because it's about critters with different personalities and needs helping each other and being friends. They are working cats, acting like mascots and helping visitors and employees relax. Where Jean rescues Jorts from closets and trash cans, Jorts rescues Jean from big meetings and loud noises. And there's no judgment in that symbiotic relationship. It's so WHOLESOME.

@@Jayalaw Pam's intentions were good. She was genuinely trying to improve the cats' quality of life, and she's realized it was unfair to them to do the things she did. What a weird stereotype! We have two orange boys, and one is literally brilliant--when my daughter leaves the house he brings her stuffed animals to his food/water bowls and angles them in head-first so they can "eat". The other is the best vocal communicator I've ever met in a cat. He'll greet me when I come home, jump up to whatever surface brings him closest to my face, and begin long conversations, adjusting the pitch of his meows and chirps to my voice as I respond. So I've always thought of them as "smart cats." I had no idea there was this popular perception of them as clumsy and inept...

my orange boy's health is starting to decline drastically and its been breaking my heart, he's very old and i hate to think our time together is almost over but i will always remember him for being the most charismatic cat i ever had with such a loving personality. he's so unique to me, he was a cat that always noticed when i was sad and would give me extra company, there was such caretaker personality to him and how he cared for me during hard times. update: he was taken to the vet and it turns out he had an infection from a cat fight, since then he has gained most of his weight back and he is looking completely different and healthy. i'm so blessed he's okay!

I’m so glad to hear that your orange boy is better. He sounds like a wonderful companion. It’s so scary when your cat is unwell and you think you might lose them. My big orange boy, in my profile picture, was wobbly on his back legs, falling when he tried to jump and vey lethargic. We took him to the emergency vet where they did some tests and put him on a drip for fluids. He came home the next day and we were told he probably had HCM (hypertrophic cardiomyopathy) needed a heart scan and may only live for six months to a year. I was so upset. He seemed to be back to normal in about two or three days and stopping him tearing around the house and play fighting with his little orange brother was impossible. After his heart scan we got the good news that his heart was fine and he probably just bumped into something or caught his back leg when jumping on top of a door. I can completely relate to your relief at your orange boy’s recovery. My hubby did moan a little that we spent £1,500 (about $1928) to find out that our big guy was clumsy but he was so worried about him and happy that he was okay in the end.

My baby. 😭 I only had him for 3 years. Lost him to undiagnosed kidney disease in March this year. We were back and forth at the vets for over 6 months as he was being treated for blockage. Those last months had been painful for him. I'm still heartbroken over his last week with me. But he was my shadow since we rescued him as a kitten. He was hilarious-the portrait of an orange cat. He and my mom were archnemeses. He and his older brother received the same amount of love, but he played the favorite boy really well. He used to keep playfully taunting his brother, and our older cat was very, very patient with him. We still miss him a lot. We miss him going at our tissue rolls. He certainly made our home more colorful. Our older cat, Ziggy, now relishes being an only child, ofc. But Anya, our orange baby, he's still remembered when we close the bathroom door and no one tries to break it from below. 😔

Hi Jackson! My orange tabby, Tiger, I adopted him from our local animal shelter a day before he was going to be Put to sleep. He was a neighbor cat that came over and hung out. Another neighbor took him to the shelter and I wondered where he was. There he was on the shelters web site in the feral section. I went down there and found out wht happened and adopted him. I let the original owners know and that was fine with them. He was about four years old and had not been neutered. He was kind of a friendly tough guy. I had him for 11 years now. What a wonderful, funny loving cat. Special cat. Marion

I rescued an orange boy 7 months ago. He was the exact opposite my other rescue , which was a girl calico. Calico is shy and will only go to me, and orange boy is social, gregarious, and loving. He has taught my little girl to come out of her shell and not hide. She just doesn't want to miss his antics. Now they both make me laugh every day. 😂❤

I grew up with a very sweet old orange cat called Tiggy, she was very lazy just enjoyed the simple pleasures of life: sitting on the boiler cupboard and purring at the wall and only leaving that spot to get pets and food. As an adult I rescued an elderly orange male named Oscar who only ever wanted to be making biscuits in someone's lap. I miss them both dearly. They may not have had many thoughts in their little brains but they were wonderful cats.

Here we are 2 years later! She is not derpy at all. She is kind, smart, gentle..I never thought I was a cat person… I have NEVER had such a strong bond and love for an animal like I do her. Any time someone would use the bathroom Sam would bolt into my friends room and roll around on his back like he knew he wasn't allowed in. I haven't spoken to that friend in a while but I still wonder how Sam's doing to this day, he was an amazing cat and was loads of fun to hangout with.

Hell of a thing to be flopped on the couch for a stomach ache, though... only to get a 30 pound PLOP to wake you up and see if you're still breathin... haha... I was still pretty young when we got Jody... who eventually became "The King" when he topped out over 35 pounds... Black and white, with a lopsided mustache and a little goatee... Sort of looked like Charlie Chaplin was drunk when he put on his face... and BIG tufts and bold "eyes" on his ears... SO we figured at least part bobcat or lynx (maybe...probably)... He'd scare the Jehovah's Witnesses off the porch, though... and he didn't take NOTHING off of NOBODY... ever. Playful as a kitten, and good with kids... My experience with orangies (as I call them) having volunteered in rescue, fostered, and had my own … most of the males have been laid back/friendly and very smart. The females have been either very spicy, or just like the males. In the end, you’re absolutely right. Every cat is an individual. What I always tell people is to go into a shelter and meet the cats. If you’re looking for a particular personality, then meet the cats who the staff recommend that might fit the bill. I tend to be drawn to male cats, though the few females I’ve had have been wonderful, mellow, affectionate cats. I have friends who are drawn to female cats for whatever reason. My #1 recommendation is this: if you’re looking for a particular personality, go for an adult cat, because their personalities are formed and you know what you’re getting. If you don’t care and just want to connect, then go with an open mind and meet ALL ages. Kittens are cute, but adults and seniors have SO MUCH to offer!

I want both an orange boy & a black boy…have neither. What I have is two girls who picked me as adults: an aggravating tortie who must have SOME Asian-talker in her gene pool. She’s so judgey and doesn’t shut-up!…but loyal-beyond-loyal for 14-years!!! Also a brown tabby who chose our porch after her family was evicted during the COVID-fallout, loves to lick us until she falls asleep, and feels like a chinchilla. She’s super-quiet, chirps & chatters like a bird. Agreed: two cats I’d NEVER have picked based on color but oh my goodness!…so happy each chose us!!

@@Laura-ed5kf I hear you. I’ve had tuxedo cats, orangies, brown tabbies, and grey cats. Never had one that was solid black. After my orange Maine Coon cross passed away in 2020, I was really missing the orange cat vibe (I adopted a fluffy tuxedo and already had a short hair grey and white boy). So when I had to retire my old guy from pet therapy, Istarted looking for a younger kitty who had the right temperament to continue the therapy work. I went to the shelter focused primarily on orange boys who were a minimum of two years (they can’t join the therapy program until they’re two). Ended up walking out with a seven month old black-brown tabby. I met him on a whim, not intending to adopt a young cat but just saying hi to his “pod” of 6-9 month olds. I ended up picking him up and knew immediately he was the one. You just can’t predict these things. I absolutely adore him and though he can’t be a pet therapist yet, I feel confident that he’ll be perfect at it when he’s old enough. And he’s been an amazing addition to my family!

Well put closing remarks about adoption. Five years ago, my husband and I browsed our local shelter's website. While we'd both liked the sweet 3 year old longhair tuxedo boy Dewey, we thought we'd get a female kitten, young, playful, trainable, kind temperament. We visited during a Black Friday adoption sale, spent some time with kittens we found on their website, as well as several others, including many adult cats. But we just weren't finding one we could agree on, who jived with both of us, or who wanted to come out. We stayed about 3 hours, during the later part of which we happened upon Dewey, the sweet shy tuxedo 3 year old boy we both had a soft spot for when we first learned about him online, who had been unadopted for several weeks. He was napping in a chair on the shelter's screened catio. He came home with us and we've never looked back. Even amidst his nap, he chose us, as he expressed great comfort with the quiet caressing we gave him. He is 100% our boy to this day, even as he continues to adjust to having a (human) sister, our now 15/16 month old daughter. 👧🏻 We almost fell into stereotypes or expectations. I'm glad Dewey saved us from doing so. As for orange cat stories, my brother and I had two orange tabby brothers when we were kids. Though much of the time they were a bit too unaffectionate and quick to claw for us as kids, we loved them. And within the past nine months, an incredibly sweet orange tabby boy from my neighborhood has been coming to us, and we are happy to have him, even if only for the occasional visit. 🧡

I got my orange boy Buddy from my local adoption shelter, and I’ve had him for a little over two years now. Like you said in your video, he was the one that I made a connection with! Out of all the cats I saw that day he was the one that called out to me, literally! His meow was louder and longer than all the others, I’ll honestly never forget it. The shelter almost didn’t let me adopt him cause they said he was feral, even though he was only 8 months old. They said he was supposed to be “sent” somewhere a couple days prior but something went wrong. After another employee checked him out and came back they told me that he’s a total sweetheart and of course I can adopt him! And he has been a sweetheart since!

I’m 1000% for letting your pet choose you. Both of my kitties picked me. Weasley saw me approach the cage he and another (older) kitten shared and threw his head into my hand when I held it out and instantly revved his purring motor. He then cried when I left (to fill out paperwork). My Ivy seemed to be waiting for me. She was in the cat room at the humane society, sitting in the window sill and as soon as the volunteer opened the door she turned her head, looked right at me and ran over to me, kept insisting I pet her and wouldn’t let any of the other cats come near.
@ILuvAyeAye
@ILuvAyeAye 10 ай бұрын
While I agree, and my cat definitely found me, I will say that your description of Ivy reminded me of a cat I saw while volunteering at a shelter who would do that with every human who walked in. She would also sit on a poof in the middle of the room, and attack the tail of any cat that walked by. 😂 It was more about her letting all the cats in the room know that all the humans (and the high ground) were hers. It definitely got her adopted quickly though - she sat on one visitor's lap, and the rest was history. Her getting adopted left an opportunity for the other shyer cats to come out of their shells, because they just hid when she was ruling the roost.

Alexander was an alley cat and had been fighting with the other male cats. Both cats were aggressive with other cats even after getting fixed. Alex was very protective of us and a puppy we rescued. I still miss him.

Our first cat, Felix, was a Persian Orange. Bless his heart, he wasn't the brightest of our cats, but he was the friendliest, the kindest cat I've ever seen. He would snuggle up to any family member who feels down or feels ill. He always had this zen attitude towards life. How I miss him after all these years. After my grandfather's passing we also adopted his cat Efe. He has mainly white fur with orange patches. He's also not so bright, with a larger than life character in a robust body. He's what Jason classifies as a "Mojito Cat" he loves attention, he's the first one to greet the guests.

Our 15 lb orangeboy Toby is literally the first cat I've ever owned in my life. I was so that dog person and because of the way Toby is I'm literally the type of person that just found a stray cat and rescued him and brought him in our house. Now Toby and Sebastian AKA socks make me laugh everyday because they have so much fun together. It takes an amazing cat to allow another male cat into his territory and let him become part of the family. I only had to keep them separate for less than a week before they were literally doing everything they could to jump over any structures I made just so they can play.

I adopted a 2 and a Half year old Orange Tabby male I named Cowboy from an animal shelter and I have PTSD and I can tell you during the 13 years I spent with Cowboy He was the smartest, most loving, protective cat ever. He was silly but mostly to make me laugh. I love Orange cats, I now have his daughter, born a year before he passed, her name is Lozen named for the Apache Medicine woman. Cowboy was highly social, very intelligent and at one point went after a stalker of mine gave him 37 stitches. Cowboy was fearless, and I wouldn't be who I am without him. He passed away 5 years ago and While lozen is not him she helps with the daily loss of him. (Lozen is a rescue we found at walmart after a heavy rainstorm, she was only about 4 to 6 weeks old, Cowboy took to her right away, and because she looks so much like him many people just refer to her as his daughter) Lozen (lo lo for short) is my shadow after he passed, where I go in the house she follows, if she get separated from me she will holler all over the house until I answer, She is 6 years old now but still just as much a kitten as when he passed, so much laughter she brings to me, which during panic attacks is something Cowboy would do, make me laugh, that has been something that keeps me going. When I adopted Cowboy I went in for a dog, came out with Cowboy and don't regret it. We watched a movie each night and snacked and I miss him so much, he was my soul kitty so for me Orange cats are the best, the angels of Cats and I will never stop telling Cowboy's story... My father had a orange lady named Mitsi. He had her for 28 years and I grew up with her. So smart, so kind and my dad saved her from getting killed by his terrible neighbor. She was seriously the best little ball of life that graced all of us in our family. The day she left us was a large hole. Not a day we don’t think about her and the memories we all had. Nicest cat, beautiful soul, we were so lucky to have her. Now male orange cats on the other hand LOL they are little goofballs and I love it. Mitsi is the reason my dad met my mother, she got out and he was running after her and Mitsi ran to my mom and snuggled on her. And history is from there. My mother has stories where she wasn’t allowed in the crib but she would put her paw through to have her paw on me, anytime I played Mitsi sat with me or joined in, she also also sat with me while I watched films or played games. Seriously she was something else and was kicking it for so many years. I was convinced at one point she was immortal.

I just took in a stray orange tabby kitten. Well, I didn't take her in, she invited herself to my house, looked at me with her big, round, glassy eyes and despite my resolve to not take another cat in, I did. So I resolved to just foster it, took her to the vet, gave her the love she deserves. And oh Lord, how she just melted my heart. I already have two cats who likes minimal petting, sassy and independent in attitude. I love them for being them. However I'm a tactile autistic, I tried my best to not bother my existing cats by petting them too much, I cope with stuffed animals. This orange kitten seems to know my need to cuddle and pet my cats so she'd always come to me for cuddles and pets. She'd purr, give little kithes on the cheeks and chin. Needless to say, she's a foster fail.
