My dad was a 4th Degree Sir Knight in the Knights of Columbus. He had been paying dues to purchase a Chalice and Paten to be given to the church of his choice after his passing. We were blessed to present them to our parish on dad's birthday a couple of months ago. Pray for the canonization of Blessed Michael McGivney, founder of the Knights of Columbus ❤

When the subject of the Patten was brought up, it brought me back to my roots as an old school altar boy. There was nothing like serving a Mass during a New England winter. Every so often, you touched a Communicant on the neck with the Patten and heard the “snap” of a static shock.

Surely you are aware of your music Being Very Loud and Worldly!!! And you all interrupt all the way thru!!! How did my honest reply offend you? It is one person's response! So, I have a long Catholic history Probably longer in the Church than any of you kind gentlemen! Your show would Not of made it in the Church when I was growing up!!! I always loved sacred vessels and the symbolism behind many of them, 1. Paten, symbolising the manger at the nativity 2. Corporal, symbolising the burial cloth of Jesus 3. Chalice veil and ciboria veils representing the sacredness of the offering and the Sacred Species. 4. Aspergillum, originating from a verse of Psalm 50, 'asperges me domine...' (Sprinkle me O Lord), which is used before the beginning of a Sunday TLM. 5. Lavabo, the bowl used to wash the priest's fingers, originating from Psalm 26:6-12, the traditional prayer used while washing his hands at offertory, 'Lavabo inter innocentus manus meas....(i will wash my hands among the innocent) There are so many more vessels out there that help us learn our faith more or even call us to prayer

I looked up to the tabernacle, the altar and the cross and asked Jesus what are you telling me?? The reply I heard a voice in my head. St Faustina I will give you a portion of my passion. I realized he was letting me feel the weight of my sins that he felt in the garden, at the scourging, carrying the cross and crucifixion !!!! I felt so guilty and sad. I fell apart and cried during communion!!! I am a sinner so unworthy of Jesus love and forgiveness!!! Forgive me Lord Jesus. I ask for tour Divine Mercy for all sinners

As a sacristan and acolyte all these vessels are near and dear to me as well. I treat them with a lot of respect and care. I make sure that they are and stay in pristine shape. all our vessels are made of brass so maintenance is time consuming but something that I love doing. Sitting in the sacristy polishing them is calming, polishing in front of the High Altar/Tabernacle is even more special.

Which I pray all Christians experience the Holy gift of Sacrament of confession. How deserving our Lord is to be wrapped in gold to help remind us of how great the Lord's sacrifice was to us. God bless you all 🙏 Pappa P . God bless all of your days truly you are living a life worthy of sainthood. And have blessed me by your willingness to show what your heart feels. It's been a miracle in my life to know it's OK to cry it's OK to share your weaknesses and struggles . You inspired me in so many ways you recommend the litney of humility prayer. Bowing should only be for those who can not kneel. Keel ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS when present to the TRUE BODY BLOOD SOUL AND DIVINITY of Jesus! ALWAYS...Why the Church refuses to teach this to its sheep is beyond me, but we must learn from one another since the priest, bishops, deacons etc are NOT teaching this and WE SHOULD ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS RECEIVE ON THE Tongue ...ALWAYS....We MUST pray for the hierarchy who are NOT teaching reverence to our Lord....this is very offensive to our Jesus that they refuse to teach us the TRUTHS...Lord Jesus I offer my fasting tomorrow in repose for the souls of all the priest in the world who dont teach truths. In true love and mercy, Lord forgive them for what they fail to do. Amen.

To me receiving the body and blood of Christ is the high point for me.
