Yes! "Hypa Hypa" is next on the Eskimo Callboy list! Also for another band to experience, one of my personal favorites: AMARANTHE. A Swedish group with 3 different vocalist! Harsh or distorted vocals (for lack of a better word) still require vocal talent and perhaps even more skill than clean singing (an apples and oranges debate). It may not sound "pleasant", but neither does an animal's roar.

I normally don't care for "sillier" music but I discoverd Eskimo Callboy on Spotify a few weeks ago and I've been OBSESSED! Pump It and We've Got the Moves are so good! Elizabeth, I am so thankful for your channel. I subscribed over a year ago. It was just before Veterans Day. My marriage ended just before the pandemic. A very tough year. I am a Veteran with PTSD and during that time began having panic attacks as I sometime have around Veterans Day. I was in a very dark place. I found your channel accidently looking for the sound of silence by Disturbed. Your passion for music is infectious and your facial expressions of true bliss when beautiful music caresses your soul. This helped me connect with my heart and shined a light in the darkness. I listened to every available video and continue to view every week. I love that you appreciate Nightwish and Sabaton as I have seen them in concert and briefly met Tuomos. I have a huge request for you to review one of my favorite songs about the sacrifice of soldiers and their loved ones. The band is called Xandria from Germany. The song is A thousand letters. The lyrics are the most emotional accurate and haunting of any song themed like this. Thank you so much!

The Live at Circle Studios Berlin version of this song is a delight, as is the Velvet Remix. Both are stripped back versions, though the Velvet Remix is as the name suggests, smooooooth while still retaining some 80's vibes in the background. Though in regards to the Circle Studios video, it's a bit weird seeing them with normal hair.
@payableondeath72 жыл бұрын
I think the happy synths at the front of the song gets the blood flowing and wakes your brain up, and then when it hears the harsh vocals it ends up pushing out the adrenaline mixed with those other chemicals and its like a turbo boost. Its one of my fav things about digital hardcore/trancecore whatever you want to call it. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas nails this feeling in 90% of their songs

you might want to take a look at "Rock Sugar", they mix 80s pop with metal classics, like "Don't stop the Sandman". Their main singer is also a voice actor, so some of their old stuff sounds like the original singers, but they had to stop that, because he was so good, that someone made a copyright claim, as he couldn't distinguish between his own voice and the Rock Sugar singer.

In the spirit of expanding your music universe, and along the lines of “fun” songs, I’d like to recommend that you give Weird Al Yankovic a listen, mostly for your own enjoyment although there are some songs that might be fun to analyze on the channel. Weird Al has been intelligently parodying songs since the 1970s, and he’s still going strong. He has the ability to mimic the musical styles of the artists he’s parodying, and his music videos generally mimic the original music videos too. Songs that I think you might particularly enjoy (and will give you some idea of his versatility when taken in combination) would be “It’s All About the Pentiums” (parody of “It’s All About the Benjamins” by Puff Daddy) kzbin.info/www/bejne/p6Gwp4ZnhpampdU; “Living with a Hernia” (parody of “Living in America” by James Brown) kzbin.info/www/bejne/jmmyqGSkocaZhck; “Smells Like Nirvana” (parody of “Smells like Teen Spirit” by Nirvana, and in a way a lighthearted analysis of Kurt Cobain’s vocals) kzbin.info/www/bejne/fJzPhnSlj5t-rrs; “Tacky” (parody of “Happy” by Pharell Williams) kzbin.info/www/bejne/sKKadp6faqqNbtE; and “The Saga Begins” (parody of “American Pie” by Don McLean and set in the Star Wars universe) kzbin.info/www/bejne/nnbGm5qAiNaGiLc. “The Saga Begins” would probably be the best of these to do as an analysis if you were so inclined; Beth from Beth Roars had her introduction to Weird Al with this song.
