Stephanie, small tip when using silk for curtains. For the side seams, leading and stacking edge, double fold the lining and silk to create the seam then hand sew. (bring silk and lining in line with each other and fold once then twice inwards. If you are using interlining, which I suggest you do, let it sit butted to the finished seam/edge of fold, this will be caught by the hand sewing but not seen at the front. Machining disintegrates silk quicker than hand sewing. Double folded seams are more durable with delicate fabrics like silk. Don't iron the seams as it is not necessary and is too harsh for delicate silk. Also maybe a simple Roman blind that can be dropped down to protect the curtains from sun damage may help too!

Best advice I have seen anyone share. Silk can be saved by doing what you described, and I think interlining is a must or just asking for rot. The idea about the shade behind it is absolutely genius

Stephanie, You can fit a clear UV film to the inside of the glass and that will stop all fabric in the room from fading due to sunlight. I supply and fit in uk

Hi Stephanie, I’m an intern designer in the US and we are sometimes able to prolong the life of silk draperies and sometimes stop the silk from shattering all together by using a wide tape trim as the salvage and using it on the front aswell. Maybe you could try to use the same technique on those to save them?

Cat!!!! I’m always so happy to see her! So, the Cat/Dan thing… it makes me sad for Annalise and the boys but sometimes these things happen. We don’t know the whole story because Dan was a gentleman and hasn’t told their business so it’s hard to say what should and shouldn’t happen…I’m here for it, though. Oh la la ! Ce radis noir est énorme !! C’est délicieux coupé en très fines tranches pour l’apéritif 😋 autrement il existe une recette: Coupez le radis en fines tranches, saupoudrez de sucre et laissez macérer toute une nuit au frais, le lendemain ou les jours suivants, recueillez le jus sirupeux… c’est un excellent sirop contre les maux de gorge et le radis noir est souverain contre les soucis du foie 😉 Bon appétit ! 🤭 Encore un chouette vlog, une belle ambiance et des découvertes! Regarding the pelmet fabric - The fabric itself actually looked good at the foot of the bed. Save the trim for something else. If you use folding luggage racks in the guest rooms, a pretty, heavy weight fabric is an easy upgrade for the fabric usually found on those.

To treat wine on linen upholstery, blot the stain with warm, sudsy water, then blot with a dry cloth. Dab in a 50-50 mixture of vinegar and water, and blot again. Dab in warm, sudsy water again; blot. Dab with clear water; blot dry.

Black radish or I think sometimes called Spanish radish is said to be very good for hair growth 💇🏼‍♀️💇🏻‍♂️ Eat raw shaved in a salad or roast with oil, salt/ pepper like a potato 🌱💚❤️

Dan was never married. He’s been separated from his partner Annalise for a while now, maybe even a couple of years.

It's actually been more than 2 years. They co-parent the boys. The boys seem happy and normal from what little we see. Dan is with them frequently, but doesn't film them much as they're getting older. Annalise looks amazing when she's been at Lalande, so she seems to be happy and doing well, too. But these are little snippet videos, not real life, so no one truly knows what's going on, and these vlogs really aren't focused on that 🤷‍♀️ I trust they know what's best for them and their lives.
