We’ve still had no water or heat. But the temp has risen to -6. I’ve been Eskimo wrapped as well as my brother. He’s also wrapped in an electric cape thing I’ve never seen one before, but I can’t be tied to a plug so I had layers and resemble the Michelin man. We were able to cook a steak that took 1&1/2 days to thaw-so no Turkey. Also mashed potatoes and veggies that used little water. No sweet because I forgot ingredients but we survived. Hopefully we will get our water and heat back tomorrow. At my brothers city so many pipes have frozen & broken it has drained the city’s tanks and they are out of water completely. So the city has shut off the water completely. There are 4-5 little towns that has happened to. We aren’t prepared for this kind of weather in the Deep South. Your video was such a joy! Seeing it warm and cozy and everyone dressed and Kat there!! I miss her so much. Is this the first time she’s missed a Christmas service at home? Im so glad you all had a fabulous time it reminds me so much of my younger days when the whole family was still living and close without so many in-laws demanding time. It was wonderful seeing all of you having a very happy, joyous Christmas! Hugs to all. Philip and Pavlina outdid themselves on the tables! Absolutely breathtaking! Merry, merry Christmas!🎄

I'm having the worst Christmas I've ever had this year. 2 sick dogs, pipes froze and burst so the entire downstairs is destroyed. also I have no running water. but this put a smile on my face for the first time. thank you so much for providing us with a happy escape even in the worst of times

Been in your shoes many times. We couldn’t get together because of the weather. I’m so thankful we are all healthy this year which never happens. My daughter was without power for 2 days, & my granddaughter’s water has been frozen for 3 days. Praying for better blessings for you ahead. Merry CHRISTmas.

Absolutely enchanting Christmas. I felt like I was living every delightful moment of the celebrations with you all at Lalande rather than watching a video on my tv. It was quite magical and a joy to be invited to share it. The ladies were transformed. That is, beautiful no matter the day, the time or the setting, but this night each one became a lovely princess beyond compare. Not to be outdone, the gentlemen were so handsomely attired whether it be in pajamas or in an impressive change-up to very well-chosen dinner attire. Best of all, it was great fun, festive, free-spirited and an absolute foodie’s Christmas wonderland. The table setting, by the way, was truly top-notch and the floral arrangements artful genius. I had to laugh at myself at one point when the silver P and S table accessories were held up. I immediately thought, oh, Palm Springs! Then quickly realized, no, that stands for pepper and salt! Now it’s time to rest and recharge for the start of an exciting New Year.

What a wonderful collage of special moments during the Christmas holiday's. Everyone was (and is) beautiful. I do have to say that your Mother looked absolutely stunning at one of the parties. In fact, I was taken aback by how gorgeous she dressed, her makeup perfect and the gown was lovely. Her sister was also beautiful in every way. Best to you all. I didn't come across this vlog until the fall of 2023, so I'm in catch-up mode. I love everything about life at Chateau de Lalande and all the amazing people who live there and who visit! What joy you bring me. I have to comment, when Philip kissed Stephanie like THAT, I swooned. I know they're a couple from the day they met (the chemistry is so evident), but they're very low-key about any PDA (I respect that), so that moment while they were dancing just slayed me! Love to everyone at Lalande and may the future bring only more happiness to you all. PS: I purchased a star in the chapel. I feel as though a small memory of me will remain somewhere in the world when I'm gone, and I adore that chapel. Can't wait to see the renovations completed. Love to you all!

In every video l found a little surprise. As a kid and as an adult l always love to watch movies where everything and everyone was perfect, glamorous and have fantasy lives. I always thought this Fantasy Life was only in the movies never in a real really daily day by day routine life. But time and life has proved me l was wrong that a Life of Fantasy is possible not to everyone but only to some and that is Beautiful because that show us that is possible, Dreams do became real but we must make them to be real to create out Fantasy Life. Stephanie, Isabelle and LeLanders, Thank you for allowing me to be part of your holiday celebrations. Our family lost our last Matriarch on my husbands side on December 10th unexpectedly and 11th lost my last Patriarch for the Rabbitt family. Our family has been feeling the loss. Then Covid struck us. Your videos with love, laughter and family have kept me going and something to look forward to. I love the holidays and always try to make it festive for husband and son. This year was quieter for us out respect for those who have gone before us. I enjoyed seeing the love and happiness shared among you and yours.
