Once we switched to an animal based diet our kids started eating about half as much. The reason why a couple of pieces of pizza can make someone feel full, is because technically, healthy or not to whatever degree of the ingredients used, it qualifies as a complete meal. A lot of what vegans and most people are eating today doesn't qualify as a complete meal. For example, one might have a "Steak Tip Salad", thinking it's healthy because there are no carbs but the meat used is typically very lean, so they are not getting any saturated fat, and either very little or no carbs... The net effects are detrimental, even though they might be having the steak.

Most likely the avocado rolls were just “maki” which means rice and whatever ingredient wrapped in seaweed. California rolls are very common in bento boxes (which are just compartmentalized serving platters with different components of a meal (a protein, a veg, a serving of rice, a spot for soup, etc.) and Cali rolls have rice, avocado, imitation crab, and cucumber. Spicy tuna rolls are also quite popular too, but I feel like she would have mentioned that if that’s what he had.

Wow, such madness indeed. Speaking for myself was vegetarian 6 years and vegan short time and plant based long time. Always was very skinny, and thought it was a fast metabolism. It's one side of the family who are all like these living skeletons. But deep down I knew I should weigh much much more, like my cousins on the farm (Who are all big and well proportioned, well guess how that can be...). Some years ago I made it my goal to weigh 75 kg. I was around 68 which is around underweight for my length ( 193 cm ). Since I eat animal based since 3 months or so I am "growing" fast now. Already 77 kg and my new goal is 90 kg. That will be a good weight I think. Maybe a little more. I thought it was the stress what kept me at such low weight, but now I see it has been malnourishment for the most part. Now in the evening when I am hungry I just eat some extra meat or fish.
