Managed to get my hands on a brand new CBR1000RR-R SP the brand new all singing and dancing track bike that just happens to be road legal ... Heres my point of view from a real world perspective (lots of traffic and limitations on the road judge and you may be ignored lol) ENJOY

Nice vid. Thanks. I haven’t lived round here too long (near Coulsdon) and those roads towards the last third of this video look decent. A rare thing in these parts. I have sort of figured out you were on a25 for quite a bit and then took that left turn down towards Dunsfold but after that is a mystery to me. Any pointers for decent riding roads very welcome! Keep up the good work.

I'm with you - ride swiftly but in control. That way you keep your licence and out of a long wooden box. I was fascinated by your review - a very powerful and technologically advanced bike that is easy and accessible to ride. Really don't know how Honda do it.

Mate I got my blade because of your review ..... and from Ian too :-)). My friend I’m 17.5 at 6ft and I love my 19 blade. Yes most bikes hurt my wrists chugging through cities. But as soon as your moving it’s doesn’t really matter. And just like you could see plain as day ( with your new camera angle) you were in heaven there mate!!! I also almost got the CB1000R. Even the sales rep at another dealership said “you’ll probably want it instead of Blade as it’s more upright “. Yeh true story. But EVERY time I open my garage I smile. Every time I stop and look at it I smile. Every time I start riding it I smile. And you can bet your bottom dolla. When I crack the throttle open I scream like Chewbacca hahahaha. Mr Fish. I’m sure Dobles will honour the 30 day no quibble Claus so you can get the bike you REALLY want hahaha. Then you can come ride with me mate. If people point I’ll say “he’s the skinny one!!!!” Hahaha

Good to see a road ride after seeing MCN's Neeves'y and the 44 Teeth boys reviews about 4 mths ago at the launch at Losail circuit. They both said how it doesn't come alive until 7000 rpm which explains how you can ride around smoothly at legal speeds here. It is focused on racing to give the Kawasakis and Ducati's some competition so at £24k and 215 bhp not much use on our roads and may struggle to pass noise tests at Trackdays! Good video though, and there's bound to be some turn up at the bike cafes on a sunny day.

Great video. I am one of those average Joe. I just love how it looks and and the fact of riding such a bike is cool. Don’t bet me wrong, I will find some curvy roads and have fun with it but definitely not gonna push the machine to its absolute limit. I doubt people buy Ferrari mostly for racing. They make such purchase because of the look of the car and the image of being cool people associate them to. My boss drives a 911 turbo and he uses the car mostly for dropping his kids at school. I know for sure if bought this bike, I will spend my time on daily commute than track

Hi Mr Fish, Thanks for a down to earth review. You probably ride similarly to 90% of us that like weekend rides or commute each day, so your insight into this beautiful motorcycle is welcome. It’s the top of the range Honda with all the whistles and bells but doesn’t come with adjustable levers (both) or rearsets? Amazes me that manufacturers build motorcycles that don’t have adjustable controls to suit the size of different riders🤔. Especially for the money 💰. Thanks for the video 🎥👍. Cheers.

I hope the law is still the same, or 24 years of age to ride any bike, that is. I don't need to worry about taking the cbt as I've already done that..... oh and the A2, but I only have Honda cbr 500rr, so when I'm 24 years old, or in like a couple of years, I will take the full A licence and then hopefully buy one these beauties! I know this is gonna be weird, but I will buy it not to speed or anything, but to just simply ride around, and yeah I can keep the current bike i have, but then again, I still want your type of bike! I've also ridden a 2016 Honda cbr 1000rr, my dad's bike, which he still owns, he allowed me to ride it but only like around a decent size car park. He was there for like 10 minutes making sure I knew how to control the throttle, and if a mistake happens, just very quickly come off the throttle, front brake, rear brake and then the clutch just before you come to a complete stop.... he knew that I knew what I was doing, considering I already had a bike, which he was riding lol but he just wanted to make sure and fully trust me that I wouldn't damage his £10,000 machine, and he also just wanted to make sure that I was comfortable with the throttle as it was and still is obviously alot more power than my bike, but I had some fun with it. My mum's partner's bike, he also has a 2013 Honda cbr 1000rr, and this one time, he allowed me to ride to the ASDA with him on the back, and all because he couldn't be bothered to ride, so he allowed me to ride about 2 miles up the road, and the most scariest but coolest things was...... i had to accelerate from 30mph to 60mph, and just a slight turn made me kind of shit myself xD but just like with my dad, it was fun though. Oh yeah, just like now, just like with my dad, my mum's partner knew I could ride and ride a motorbike well and had been riding for probably 2 years at the point, so that's mostly why he never gave a flying fuck, but some of his lack of fucks given was also because like I mentioned before, he was basically too lazy. XD I rode back as well, but slightly slower, around 58mph but only because I didn't want to mess things up and pay for any damages lol his bike cost around £11,000, so imagine how much I'd be paying if I damaged his bike, while riding at 60mph or so?! Lol xD

Maybe the position from this statement is by driver who drives the old one. The last fireblade was more streetable (maybe) in comparision to other sportbikes. Because of honda change that that drastic it's maybe more intensive how it feels like.

Have to agree with you JBoy. Most people buying sports bikes do it because they like the way they ride. Literally like a blade cutting through.... to me it doesn’t always have to be full throttle. It’s amazing the joy you get just getting the right cornering. Even at slower speeds. Just as nice. Don’t get me wrong cranking on the speed also gives you that “lucazade buzzzz” Lol. But yes i also enjoy Mr Fish for his “everyday bloke” opinions.

Great video, I hankered after a Fireblade when they first arrived on the market, could have afforded it but had a young family so never felt I could justify it. At the time had an RVF400 and although not the fastest bike was more than fast enough and one of the best in the twisties, the Blade would probably have been more than I needed, but sometimes you just want something even though you don’t need it👍
