Who clicks "Like" before the video even starts? You work so hard and are so incredibly responsible and considerate of each of them with their little quirks and foibles. We know when you do rehome, it's done with the utmost care to ensure they'll never be abused or dumped again. They're all lovely, but Skeletor and Primrose! Wow.😍 Whoever gets Prim is going to be very lucky. And well - Nigel. What is there to say about the spunky little man with his "Never say die" attitude?😄💕

I did! I saw the title and clicked "like" immediately. I had commented about a week ago that I would love a video identifying and discussing each of her horses to help me and others know and recognize them better. I was so excited to see that CC responded with just what I needed, and I wanted to say thank you. I hope others are enjoying it, too.

I had a killdeer nest on my property one year. I put a flag beside the nest so it wouldn't get mowed or stepped on. A bad hailstorm struck, and I ran out with the top half of a plastic dog crate and put it over the nest, which had eggs. All the eggs survived the storm and the mama bird went under the shelter to sit on the eggs. Eggs hatched the next week.

Years ago I worked at a bookstore in suburban Portland, Oregon. Freight trucks would come down a steep driveway to the loading dock to deliver pallets of books. One summer a kildeer made her nest near the loading dock, and whenever a truck came down the drive, she would run out to lure it away from her nest. Made me laugh every time. Fortunately she never got run over and her babies hatched OK and survived. She moved to another place for her next brood--that one must have been far too stressful for her.

As someone that takes hard case dogs to rehab I understand selectively keeping certain ones....in the dog world they call that a "foster fail". We have taken a severe neurological case (still under roof 10 years and counting), joint issues (never expected to live past 9....he made it to 13), abuse cases, owner neglect, and the ones considered "untrainable". I would do it with horses but husband capped the property size at 2 acres to make me behave LOL! Excellent job and believe me it takes a special heart, a lot of patience and absolute, pure love to do what you do. I would take Pete in a heartbeat if the opportunity was available. He speaks to my heart...like every dog that has been through our door you can just look at them and know. Oh who am I kidding there isn't one of the herd that I wouldn't take, but Pete is special in my eyes.

Thank you for an introduction to your horses. It was a treat to meet them all at one time, and especially with a small bio of each. Your brand fits you; the horses must be honored to wear it. Your care for all the life forms on your property is a model of good stewardship. As far as your disappointment to reach a 100,000 subscribers, you are in good company; writers like Emily Dickinson, Herman Melville, and James Joyce were slow to be appreciated too. We have all been better served by all your work. Training a public may be the most difficult of tasks.

I think Ziggy was getting touchy about his face and being bridled, and that was why he ended up in the sale. CC was brilliant, as usual, and immediately figured out he had dental issues, and a sharp tooth was tearing up his mouth when he chewed or wore a bridle. Of course, CC got him to the vet for dental care, and now all is right in the world of Ziggy! Arabians are scarce, desirable, and expensive where I am. I wish I could buy him! He is my dream horse .

Oh, I think you will get to 100k pretty soon, CC. Your video style and storytelling are fantastic. Every new video you make lights up my life. I had never heard of "kill dear" birds before -- they are adorable. Maybe they are scarce because they match nearly every driveway in the world and the babies sit tight when frightening things are happening. I'm glad Tiny has no interest in them. Ziggy is looking amazing; that really didn't take you anytime at all to bring him into good shape for work. I love all your horses and their stories, but I think Skelly is my fave still. I'm so glad you're there to help out the misfits who might end up in a bad situation again. Thank you so much for all you do for the ranch of misfit geldings :)

I never noticed Skeletor's freckles before. Prim is truly beautiful, lovely conformation and I'm a sucker for a buckskin. Scarlett, thank you for inspiring your Cowgirl to start on KZbin. I really enjoy horsey life vicariously. When I was a kid my cousins and some friends had horses and I was a horse loving girl. I rode a lot back then, and now at 65 I have several non horse injuries that make it simply unsafe for me to ride. I do miss it. And when I have the chance to groom a friend's horse I do. I was a career dog trainer and dealt with a lot of trauma dogs, and no training dogs, and was the go to girl for the scary ones. So I love entering that calm head space where animals can trust me, and the reflexes to nope right out of there when it's just not going to happen. I really enjoy your channel!

This was WONDERFUL CC, Thank You❣️ Scarlet bought wild at 3 months old is the side of BLM I don't respect. If they culled on horseback they could cut out ONLY stallions and mares without foals. Yearlings okay but not babies because many don't land soft with folks like you and a woman in Michigan I follow. I used to follow a guy in Illinois until seeing a video of he and his daughter rush-breaking two 2 year olds for money. He was a good guy until deciding to become a high-number cross breeder for Money. He corrupted himself with greed and its ugly. Thankfully CC you are down home high quality❤

I bet it is fun to watch Pete run. Why trainers use cruelty to try to get horses to run faster is beyond me. Seems coaxing would be better. I think of Sea Biscuit. Once he was in the hands of someone who understood him off he went. Even as an older horse he was very fast and hard to beat. But he was grandson of Man O' War.

I'm so proud of you for watching out for the Killdeer family. They are such valuable birds and their numbers are plummeting due to rapid land development and urban sprawl. Every fluffy chick saved is important.

@@nancysarver8120 I don’t think they do it on purpose but who knows? I’m subscribed to quite a few channels and people complain about it all the time. It’s never happened to me personally but I see comments from people all the time. Some people say it has something to do with the KZbin algorithms. But it’s definitely a thing, a bit weird, right?

@@cosmiccoyotedog-doreenb9605 That may be only the tip of the iceberg; there have been many channels where comments have vanishes as well. Algorithms may be like the Wizard of Oz, and yelling "Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain!" ⚠

Whiplash is the same color of my first horse 🐎 I owned at 17 . He was a dark bay, white sock on one back leg. He was 17.2 hands ✋️ and a thourobred. He was 10 years old. I am 60 now, so hes passed away 😔 😢but i will never forget him ❤❤❤❤❤❤Shane was his name, and I kept his name.😮

I'm not a horse person but do enjoy your Montana videos. I was born in Montana and all my grandparents are buried there. In the 1950s an uncle had a farm south on Jackrabbit Ln. and another uncle was the head of the Belgrade State Bank. At that time the bank was located in a little brick building at the corner of Main and Broadway. Thanks for bringing Montana back into my life as I now live 7,200 miles away.

My favorite is absolutely Skeletor, I would love to own a horse like him, but I am a great fan of shestnuts so I think Goose and Scarlet are extremely beautiful. Goose is shining like the evening sun, I just love watching him. And Ziggy. What a beatiful old guy. All arabians that I have seen has been of the more extreme type, som I must say I thing Ziggy is absolutely beautiful now when his neck is getting more full. And the colour, I really love roans probably because my first big horse love was a red roan. I love your channel, your horsemanship and love for animals is soo absolutely true. And, coming from Sweden, looking att your channel also gives interesting insights in handling and riding horses in the ”wild west” 😉 Oh, and Nigel. I love that little horse with my whole heart. Please let us see him more. He’s just a so cute and funny little primadonna. 🥰🌟

Thanks for updating us on all of your horses, they are doing so well under your expert care. The Killdeers made me smile, back when I still had a rural, horsey life I would often observe them. If they had babies they would make a big show of being 'injured' and lead me away from their young like you showed in this video. 😊

Well, it was so nice to meet your herd of horses. I think however , you have allowed us to meet you as well! In addition to grooming Frisco Bill, we saw you scrubbing out the water troughs, watching out for the killdeer and robin families. While you told us about the peculiarities of your horses, you told us a lot about your background which appears to be extensive and well rounded. Although I will never own a horse, I am very glad to have run across your channel, and I am a loyal subscriber. Thank you for doing the work you do! 🐴🥰🐎🐈😎💕
