@@thomascallewaert5143 I'd say the deck in this configuration doesn't need evolution sage. But look at your etb / proliferate creatures and see if you would rather have eve. sage than one of those

I love the interaction between Painful Truths and Jodah. That is what my Jodah deck is actually built around. It is WUBRG Matters, with a focus on Converge/Sunburst cards. I also get to run fun cards like Legacy Weapon and Door to Nothingness. I did want to build a Myojin tribal deck, but I wasn't sure if I wanted to make a second Jodah deck, so it's been on the back burner for now. I know that you built this version on a budget, but any Myojin deck I make has to have Kindred Boon and That Which Was Taken. For more Indestructible counters, I like Risona and Tyrite Sanctum. I may have missed it, you may have mentioned, but Lae'zel, Vlaakith's Champion from Baldur's Gate is a budget rare that works like Pir, Imaginative Rascal. And Winding Constrictor is budget too!

As someone with a Jodah deck I love this! it can do so many cool things and you can tweak it to do a variety of different strategies, if anyone who is building this commander and wants a few tips to add in try: Interpret the Signs ($0.08), scry 3, then reveal top card, then draw cards equal to that card’s CMC Reshape the Earth ($3.85), ten land ramp (any lands!) for five mana Also, but a bit on the pricier side is the Bringer cycle from Fifth Dawn. But those cards say that you can pay WUBRG rather than it’s mana cost anyway so if Jodah isn’t around you can still cast all of them like normal and they all do crazy good effects like the Black one let’s you Grim Tutor on every upkeep, and the Blue one lets you draw two extra cards every upkeep!

Been having a lot of fun playing this deck. Made an infinite amount of Raptors and won a 1v1 against my friend. Played in a 3 way commander battle and won with Myojin of Roaring Blades and kept proliferating for the target 7 dmg lol

I made a Legendary Tribal deck with Jodah a while back, only played 2 games with it cause it was much stronger than what my play group was playing with at the time, so I took it apart to make a bunch of new commander decks with all the Legendary creatures. Was really fun to play though and would probably fit in with the power level my group plays with now, but I would have to take apart a bunch of my current decks that I have grown fond of.

I have two Jodah decks currently, one that is a maze's end strategy, and one that revolves around stealing my opponent's recources from mostly the field, but i can also take from their library and hand. I'm planning to make a third but haven't quite decided the direction to take that one yet aside from potentially just big dumb creatures and spells.

If youre willing to stretch your budget just a tiny bit, Kindred Boon from c17 is about 3$. 2WW enchantment, when it enters choose a creature type. 1W: put a divinity counter on target creature Creatures you control with divinity counters on them have indestructible. It only works with the old myojin, but paying two mana to get another activation of them is absurd value. Karn’s bastion is also another cheap card to consider, letting you pay 4 and tap to proliferate.

nice idea with the myojins. it's the first deck that seems to actually work properly with myojins. i know the following suggestions break the price limit but what about a morophon in this deck? just name spirits and boom just like that all your myojins cost exactly 0 mana to cast. also from my experience with jodah you'll end up being not perfectly mana fixed with this deck. it's a bit of a bummer i know but 5 coloured decks that don't rely on landfall just shouldn't run a lot of basics if you want to have a powerful deck imo. i mean jodah isn't the kind of commander that needs 5 colours like once. your mana has to be perfectly fixed all the time otherwise you are going to have a hard time casting your big spells so i definitely suggest cards like dryad of the ilysian grove, chromatic lantern, the world tree and chromatic orrery. those cards are fairly expensive but just get some proxies to find out if they suit your playstyle.

@@nzephier exactly what i mean fetch lands og dual lands and shocklands are pretty much the only lands you need in a jodah deck unfortunately this landbase costs like 3k but it's just so good i have them all as proxies since 3k on a single deck is a bit over the top ^^

No Morophon, the Boundless ?? TBH Jodah, Archmage Eternal is great as "sidekick" in Morophon, the Boundless making every card free (every card of chosen type, but then you have more than a couple of cards to turn all creatures to a chosen type, and you also have changelings that will always be free)

doesn't myojin of life's web still work with your other myojin? the keyword for all of them is specifically "play from hand" not "cast from hand" and myojin of life's web has you play those creatures from your hand. i'm not sure but based on specific wording of play and not cast in the divinity counter line I would think it still works. actually some of the myojin say play and some say cast so idk "601.1a Some effects still refer to "playing" a card. "Playing a card" means playing that card as a land or casting that card as a spell, whichever is appropriate." ruling i found that might help

Played this card in draft today with an Emrakul, the aeons Torn. Got it Jodah out on turn 4 and Emrakul out on turn 5, 3 times. Awsome card ahaha

maybe you can add yarok and panharmonicon to double or quad the effects of ETBs... for ALOT of value but beware of any mtg cards that shut off ETBs like topor orb for example

I don't quite see how the "go infinite" works in this deck. Can someone ELIF? (edit: I may have worked it out. Basically use any proliferate card once to get a 2nd indestructible counter on Myojin of Cryptic Dreams, then while the next proliferate spell is on the stack remove that counter to copy the proliferate spell 3x. Then keep removing a counter to copy the original before it hits the board, etc.?)

I've got a Jodah - Ultimatum Deck and let me tell you, nobody is having a good time when Violent Ultimatum gets copied almost a dozen times. When this happens I like to hose a single color from somebody's lands, so funny, so salty.

As I understand it, a commander's "Cost" and "Color Identity" are different aspects -> since Jodah has "WUBRG" symbols on his card, and he's a legendary creature, he is technically a 5 color commander, but you only need 1 and a Red,Blue,White to play him. Hope this helps!

I’m confused on how this infinites. Aren’t the proliferating creature still on the stack when you activate the myojin, and thus the etb doesn’t trigger until they all resolve?

The copy will resolve first, so they enter the battlefield proliferate, then you copy again etc etc.

Is this deck actually any good? Early game is a lot of ramp, leaving you open. The commander will easily get focused and then you're turn 4-5 with no board presence. You'll be focused down and nearly dead in most games at that point.
