He shouldn't have died. He should have won. On the turn he cast Storm of Souls, Manson bounced Cloudshredder Sliver back to his hand. That stopped six more ninjas from attacking. Storm of Souls made Couldshredder Sliver a spirit, which Drogskol Captain gave hexproof to. Six more Yuriko triggers would have ended that game in Arthur's favor. I can't for the life of me understand how that was missed and no one else has commented on it either. Am I wrong?

It's basically Tomer's (MtGGoldfish guy) tribal tribal deck. Most tribal tribal decks are just changelings and simple P/T and keyword lords (rather than "whenever a [race/class] deals combat damage" triggers), so it seems weird that Arthur decided to make nearly all the same creature inclusions/exclusions as Tomer did in his most recently published decklist (especially since Tomer has talked about more recent cards that'd be amazing for the deck that he hasn't edited in yet, so it's weird Arthur seems to have stopped updating his deck at the exact same time Tomer did - MH2). The thing is, Arthur did miss out a few cards when he copied Tomer's core decklist, likely thinking he was making upgrades...but they are some of the most key cards - the Velis Vel cards and similar, as well as cards that help make your creature unblockable for a turn; the first bunch allow you to change all your non-changelings into changelings for a turn scoop up all the "whenever a [race/class] deals combat to a player" triggers, and the unblockable-enabling cards helps nail those triggers in further. So it feels like Arthur copied Tomer's creature base (while changing some of the other cards) without properly understanding how Tomer's original instant/sorceries/enchantments/artifacts feed into making the deck's creature base work.

I haven’t seen Tomer’s deck, I don’t think, but even if was more or less the same I still really enjoyed the deck and it’s interactions in this particular game. Sometimes it’s okay to just enjoy the moment for what it was.

@@dorsalfin22 ​ I agree Tribal Tribal as a concept is not that uncommon, but most decks tend to run quite a few +1/+1 lords and go that way with it (MItch's deck, as you mention, included). What you are essentially saying is "Electric guitar riffs are not that uncommon" to justify Cigarettes and Alcohol literally copying Get It On note for note. Also I only said he copied it once, and then explained deeper the ways in which he copied it and the fundamental key to the deck which Arthur misunderstood, which gives even more credence to the fact he just copied the list - much like when a novice homecook says to a friend "Hey, I made a great recipe for bread!" and then gives them a recipe they claimed they made themselves (which they actually saw online except they didn't understand the importance of yeast so writes down cornstarch instead, because they actually have no idea what they're doing). So it's not so much saltiness if you read some sort of heightened emotion in my comment - it was more simply being flabbergasted at how obviously Arthur copied the most of the list while leaving out the most important parts of it; more amusement if anything.

This was one of my favorite matches to watch. The ending wasn't someone just going infinite or just playing a Craterhoof Behemoth. Yeah, I guess the card that actually sealed the deal was Bolas's Citadel but it wasn't because of the value of just playing your whole deck, it was from the activated ability. Very fun and tense ending.

The back and forth of the last few turns and swinging back and forth between Gaurav and Manson as they fished for the last piece of damage to put the other over the brink was so riveting!

This was easily the best game I've seen on this channel. There was a real back and forth through the entire game. Lots of threats, lots of answers.
