Eh, I could argue that someone who pays attention to the lore might have been a better choice They legit didn't realize the whole "the guilds with Bolas are lead by a planeswalker and have a legend, the ones against him have two legends" in the last two sets, if you recall. Still, they did a wonderful analysis on the possibilities she brings as a commander, so on a crunch level, they were great. It's just my inner Vorthos that's annoyed.

Well the kind of Feather they are showing here has nothing to do with Boros. The idea of small tricky spells is far more like izzet. I guess if MtG gets accepted as an olypic sport, I will be a pretty sporty guy. Or if pizza would be declared as vegetable, I will become a vegetarian. Or a mono black burn deck that is full of black burnspells would still be a burn deck and plays like a red deck.

Cloudshift and any creature with an entering the battlefield effect or leaving the battlefield will have huge synergy. Solemn simulacrum, duergar hedge-maze, bruce tarl, duplicant, meteor golem, myr battlesphere, sun titan, are all great targets for this

On top of that, a little unwieldy, but if you combine with Harness by Force and/or Press into Service, you can gain control of any creature on the battlefield, permanently. It back-up working as Josh's sneaky ramp with Path of Exile if you don't have Cloudshift in hand makes almost good enough to try.

Just remember that Feather will only trigger once if you target Zada, because Zada copies the spell and puts the copy on the stack, Zada doesn't recast the copies. Bit of an important note

Actually, I am pretty sure you get to return a flashbacked seize the day to your hand with feather in play. The Flashback, wording says 'Exile when spell leaves the stack' and Feather says the same. I think it is the same as blinking an unearthed creature(you get to keep it indefinetely). Also it looks like the designer of the card went to some length to mae this work when wording the card.

I have a Shu Yun, the silent tempest EDH deck that uses Zada, mirrorwing dragon, and beam splitter along with cards like Brute Force and many of the combat cantrips you mentioned. plus young pyro type creatures. This is all the yes. (also, I usually kill with commander damage with this deck because shu yun gets big and hits hard out of nowhere and the spells give good evasion. spell voltron).

Another combo to add to the list: Stuffy Doll and Wear//Tear. You play Wear//Tear targeting stuffy doll as your artifact, and then you can remove any enchantment at instant speed and get the card back each turn. (Will work on any indestructible artifact creature you have).

Also important: It's not just the first instant or sorcery per turn. You can cast Brute Force and then Fall of the Hammer to kill an X/6 creature, then do it again on the following opponent's turn. This card is only limited by the amount of Mana you have available. Great commander, definitely looking forward to playing it.

@The Command Zone I have also used settle the wreckage on myself to ramp a lot in my mono white Eight-and-a-Half-Tails deck because it produces a lot of tokens with Elspeth, Sun's Champion and Hanweir Militia Captain. I tend to ramp pretty well with Sword of the Animist and all my tokens. I can see utilizing this tactic if you have enough token generation with Feather.

I think intimidation bolt is worth mentioning. Aurelia's fury can stop their non creature casts, and Intimidation Bolt can shut down all attacks by just bolting your own feather with it then it shuts off every other creatures ability to attack. Can also be sunforger tutored. Also shocked you didn't mention sunforger in this video unless I just missed it cause I was also doing dishes at the same time as listening. If you run Sunforger i'd also suggest running Magnetic Theft to have some cute sunforger interactions and really circumvent the cost of requiping it. Can also just steal opponents eqipment over and over if they happen to run any out against you and it triggers off feather to return to you hand. .

My friend found a game type online that will allow all of us commander players to use all of these cool planeswalkers. Oathbreaker. You choose a planeswalker to be your "Oathbreaker", commander, and a spell that you can only cast while they are on the board. It is singleton and only 60 cards with 20 life. Its ment to be faster and focus mire on your Walkers abilities. All of the new uncommon Walkers would work great with this.

Heroic is, IMO, actually good with Feather. Why? Because Feather has the "targets a creature you control" phrase. My one little issue was that they weren't even looking at having other creatures on the board with Feather, except for creatures like Young Pyromancer. Theros-block Heroic cheap creatures does exactly what Boros wants to do: Get in the creature damage first, then finish off with burn.

Akroan Crusader becomes another Pyromancer and so does Vanguard of Brimaz, Phalanx Leader can add counters each turn, Labirynth Champion will add a shock to all your cantrips, Tethmos High Priest resurects most of your important creatures, and I'm not even mentioning all the generic "grow when targetted" creatures.

Absolutely awesome. Definitely going to build this one, and I might even throw Firesong and Sunspeaker into the deck. With the right sort of punching and other burn cards, it could get pretty funky. Actually, new Tajic is pretty solid too...lets you fire off things that would damage your creatures without having to worry about it.

I love Feather! She seems super fun, cheap to build, and the amount of silly cantrips that can be used in the deck seems amazing. Zada and the other one (if legal) are includes imo just for added value too. I mean, this is almost Boros spellslingers and that's amazing!

Rules question: Does a spell resolve, if it has no targets? Because the card only comes back to your hand, if it resolves, so actually countering it, means the spell won't come back.

Actually since the Fiery Gambit targets regardless of the flips, and Feather doesn't add the effect to the card itself, it will always return even if you never win a single flip

@@jabberwockld4316 They were talking about Brute Strength which is two mana and gives +3/+1 and Trample. Brute Force is a color shifted version of Giant Growth that is exactly the same except it's red.

This is just an idea. Me and one of my friends recently did pauper commander. Basically, your commander has to be uncommon and any legendaries also have to be uncommon, but everything else in the deck is of course, common. It would be a very interesting idea for you guys to maybe do an episode on. I and friend had a blast and it would be very cool to see what you guys could do with that.
