I worked in a men's recovery house. The resources available to men in poverty are dismal. Everyone donates to women in need and ignore the same issues in men. Men are expected to just work harder but it's not so easy when they're hungry. Not only can women access these resources without shame but if she has a male partner she risks losing access. Government programs make fathers a liability for low income family. It's shocking how little our society cares for men.

In regards to the draft, when my oldest son turned 18, he and I were talking in front of his mom and I was talking to him about how he needed to register for Selective Service (the draft). His mom, who went to the same college as myself didn't know what we were talking about. I explained that as men, at age 18, the government at any time can call us to military service to go to war. I was blown away because she had no clue. And it made me wonder how many of these "oppressed by men" people have no clue that if the draft is instituted, all their oppressors have to be willing to risk their lives and bodies in their defense.

It's not about beating your mother in an argument. It's about truth. Even if you ignore any religious or scientific argument, abortion just feels wrong. A lot of the woke ideology goes against human nature and instincts. Again, if you go to tribes that have neither heard of western science or Christianity, they'll tell you abortion is wrong and you'll find some version of 'the patriarchy'. Woke ideology tries to run from reality and human nature.

"If you can't explain it to a six year old, you don't understand it yourself". always loved this quote
@BabylonPatrol Жыл бұрын
it's a bit solipsistic, if not narcissistic. to explain something to a 6 year old is one thing. to make it understood is quite another, not least because theory of mind, especially director's perspective, experience, continuity and abstraction have typically not congealed at age 6. it's especially difficult because the kids' aim in responding is more being seen as participants in their community than actual cognitive comprehension. that's why you tend to get these lovely total nonsense bullshit answers from them on complex issues. they want to say or play act something that sounds right. it's a bit better at age 16 albeit the school system actually rewards a similar type of dissociated play acting, which is why it favors girls. boys would have a slight advantage if competitive, creative, functional real life problem solving.was the goal, especially with collaboration.
@jamestargin2957 Жыл бұрын
Ngl, that quote has some truth, but overall it's pretty trash. As someone with two very little siblings, kids are not capable of understanding some things. They can be very smart, but too much information in too little time is impossible for them to fully understand without major misconceptions.
@BabylonPatrol Жыл бұрын
the main fallacy here is that the person trying to communicate content is thinking about simplifying the content. it's better to understand the communication of 6 year olds to create a platform for learning or, more broadly, a dedicated interest in them. their goal is to make you think of them as 'one of us'. how dangerous even minor disruption of this can be is easy to see in the taboo reality of the epidemic step and foster child abuse as well of abuse throughout institutionalized child care.

patriarchy: a system of society or government in which the father or eldest male is head of the family, and familial descent is traced through the male ancestral line; a system of society or government in which men hold the power and women are largely excluded from it. As clearly and soundly demonstrated in more than one chapter of “A Final Instruction Sheet for Humanity”, men and women have quite distinct duties and responsibilities within human society. Adult males naturally fall into one of the four social classes (that is, priests, monarchs, business/farm owners, and workers), whilst females are meant to serve their superiors as daughters (in the case of girls) and wives (in the case of women), by performing household chores and raising children. Of course, a large proportion of the population no longer adhere to this gender role dichotomy, particularly in the Western countries, and the chances are, if you have read this far into this Holy Scripture, you are not among them (unless, that is, you are aiming to persecute the Messenger of Truth). Radical feminists (of both sexes) invariably become noticeably upset, and sometimes aggressively violent, when they are confronted with any mention of patriarchal ideology, as they wrongly believe that women should have an equal role in the governance of families and in the ruling bodies of societies (and often that women ought to rule nations, as in a matriarchy, since they incorrectly assume that women are less war-mongering than men). Such radical feminists and social constructionists have surmised that gender roles and gender inequity are instruments of power, and that they have become social norms to maintain control over women. Constructionists would contend that sociobiological arguments serve to justify the oppression of women. And by “oppression” they are, in actual fact, referring to the fact that men have largely protected their womenfolk throughout human history, and in a huge number of cases, practically worship the opposite sex (see the Glossary entry under “gynocentrism”). OBVIOUSLY, throughout human history, some men have harmed some women, just as many women have harmed men - that has absolutely naught to do with patriarchy, but solely with sin and lawlessness. Most all Western countries are now matriarchal, in the sense that women have total and utter power over their menfolk, even if that power is enforced by other (so-called) males. This last quip ought not be construed to imply that criminal males should not be held accountable for their crimes, but that, in many (if not most) cases of suspected wrongdoing, the accused man is not only innocent of any transgressions but is, rather, the victim. If a man has abused a woman, he ought to be castigated by his legitimate authority, not by the minions of any corrupt state/government. Personally, I have been jailed twice for being the casualty of physical assault and verbal insults by women making blatantly false allegations against me, a very skinny, old monastic priest (and honestly consider myself to be immensely gentle, loving and kind). Therefore, the fact that you, the reader, are alive and well, is due largely to the institution of PATRIARCHY, which has protected your ancestral lineage from those barbarians who have not adhered to dharma (holy and righteous norms, based on non-violence) and if you insist that patriarchy is intrinsically harmful, you are being blatantly hypocritical and unwittingly invoking your very own demise!

I don't enjoy seeing stupid people like this because I know they vote as a hivemind and people like this can never be reasoned with in a meaningful way. They push ideas like "the patriarchy" and "white privilege" because they have to justify the things they do to mooch off us. I'm just saying people don't seem to understanding that these ideas are the kind of ideas that force us into so many conflicts. They are basically arguing that the only reason that we live in a world where men are typically the leaders is because we have used our size advantage to oppress women into subservient gender roles. She thinks that there is like a form of societal brainwashing or something and that women can't have "true equality" until they get rid of the patriarchy that oppresses them. It's not difficult to understand why they believe in these ideas. What's difficult to understand is how come liberal men arent pushing back on the insult of this? She is basically saying that historically speaking men have beaten their wives into submission and the only reason why they don't now is because of the feminist movement. The problem with her logic is that she makes broad claims about history that can't possibly have any sort of real tangible evidence. I would make the argument that men actually probably didn't historically beat their wives because life was too difficult back then for men and women to not get along and fulfill their gender roles. It's not the patriarchy that created the house wife. It was mother nature herself. I'm just saying if these people were still oppressed they wouldn't have the reach that they do. All of these socialists have a really flawed idea where they thing past generations have more influence in shaping current generations then they actually do. See it can't be black America's fault that black America is trapped in poverty. Because it has to be the white oppressors keeping them down! If that's true then why is Africa so resource rich but everybody there is still so poor? Is it evil white people doing that to?

I feel that it's very important for people to start looking into the "other side" of politics and world views because there truly is no correct side and I am finding that out more with every video. it truly is just about learning where you believe you should be in society, and actually developing your own views instead of agreeing with everything someone on either side says. I find myself every day identifying more and more with the neutral party because I have been blessed with this other view. If 13-year-old me could see myself now, I would have been mortified because I was fed to believe the republican party is just evil, and am now realizing and understanding the reasoning within both parties. I found yall about a year ago and my view and learning neither side is right nor wrong.

Generally, when the shouting starts, it's because someone made a statement referring to a core opinion, one that someone has built a whole persona around, and when the concept they've built themselves around gets attacked, they're unable to adapt, because they've never had to adapt before, and have historically been able to double down on buzzwords. @slaapt Жыл бұрын
Even without armpit lady's statement it would be a suspicious statement. I fully believe a woman can dress up because she wants to feel confident or sexy just for herself. The crux of the issue, however, is that in order to dress "sexy" there needs to be a group who finds that way of dress desirable. Because that is literally what "sexy" is. Being desirable in one way or another (generally physical). If the group she is attracted to does not find her desirable, she is, by definition, not sexy. So yes, people can dress up or do make-up, or whatever for themselves. But without outside validation the entire exercise has failed. Because really, if you were all dressed up and whatnot, and everyone ignored you, would you feel sexy or confident? It just does not work.

Now a few years wiser, I’m dressing much more modestly and trying to get my little sister to see the light too. I’m noticing a pattern of girls who aren’t even hoes being convinced that it’s just normal and innocent to wear hella makeup and dress like a stripper and talk like one. Being told to reject motherhood, femininity, and that being a good wife is oppressive. Somehow it’s better to be freezing in the streets. Grateful that I wised up before I hit 25-30! The 50s housewife that was forced to serve her husband and wasn't allowed to get a job or leave and they were all being beaten by their husbands never happened. The housewife was only a thing rich women got to have because they were the only men whose jobs actually made that much. Working class women didn't have that life until after WW2 when the American dollar increased in value as it was considered the international currency as one of the end results of the war. All of the housekeepers and nannies quit resulting in rich women having to their own housework. THAT is why the suffragettes compare housewife life to slavery because they were accustomed to a high class life style. That is just ONE example of their ignorance of history.

I wonder if the gal had a good fatherly figure growing up. If she didn’t, it makes sense that her view on patriarchy is like this. The families with healthy boundaries and structure don’t need to fear men and victimize themselves, thank you Brett for your reactions ❤️

I don’t know about that. I grew up without a dad but I have an amazing mom. I have never had those kinds of views. I’m married to a wonderful man and am grateful to the males that I have had in my life (my grandpa, cousins, and husband). Feminists are crazy 😝

It's the same way with makeup. Women used to swear they wore makeup to impress guys but nearly every guy I know says they prefer women without it. When women first started hearing that, they didn't believe men. NOW they throw a fit if you bring it up. "I dOn'T wEaR iT fOr YoU!" Really? That's not what you used to tell us. Women's beauty standards have NEVER been about men. It's about impressing other women. It's about clout and status, and it's not just about beauty. It's the house they own, the car they drive, the purse and brands they wear. It's ALL about one upping other women.

I think you hit the nail on the head when you said "there is no objective answer to anything" because objectivity has been thrown out of the window and facts have been replaced with opinions. There was a wave of wokeness around 2012 in the way that people start accepting spirituality and higher dimensions et cetera. But somewhere along the line we got detached from reality and it's derailing society (in the US as well as Europe to some degree)

the way there is inconsistency in their speech and how it takes so many words and a lot of senseless effort to take whatever point they have home already raises an alarm for me . '' I don't know like...is like... uhhmm I feel like..'' then goes ahead to still not say anything as much sensible 😂😂😂😂is actually hilarious. I would usually not give her a second thought but I've spent time with her and she's mad cool and smart and you can discuss ideas with her.
