There is footage of her brother coaching her on what to say. He controlled her every move, even the clothing she wore in the videos and at public appearances like the GMA interview and her mother allowed it. It's sickening!

I remember when this all happened. I was appalled by the behavior. The brother told Claire what to say and how to say. She was in tears in the interview because she did not want to upset her mother and brother. Her brother was extremely abusive and had no intention of being a good brother and person to look up to. Her father is no better neglecting his child while she is abused and exploited. His child was in danger, he did nothing. Allegedly the parents live together and are married. It is sick what they did to the children. They should have them taken away and be arrested for abuse, neglect, fraud. They are sick people who will commit crimes against their children to make money.

Thank God 😭 I was so heartbroken seeing her page and that post, she has so much life left to live, and shes so close to winning her lawsuit against her parents and sharing her story. Lil Tay was horribly abused, and it's becoming more and more clear that this new form of abuse is going to become more of a problem as our societal shift to social media continues. I don't even know if there's a term coined for this phenomenon yet, but it's truly terrifying. I'm seeing more and more kids being victimized by their parents online. Theres no legal reprecussions yet, which is why Lil Tay is so so important and why the idea of her death was so heartbreaking to many. This little girl is so close to changing the landscape of the internet and treatment of children online by their parents. I'm so grateful it was a hoax, and I hope she's able to recover from the absolute shitshow she's been through 💖

The term you are looking for is child exploitation. I get you probably mean it, in this way of social media. But the same has happened with some children in acting (Jennette McCurdy for example). It is the same thing. It is child exploitation. No special term aside from this is needed. It unfortunately happens a lot with children on social media (especially the KZbin “Family channels”). Which is sickening. And about this case: I don’t know what to believe at this moment. She died, she is alive, her name is Claire, Claire is not her real name..
