The funny thing about Feminism is it ignores the historical power of women. I believe that men built civilization, but that they built it for women. Like Lady Ballers pointed out, women truly do civilize men and give them a reason to build a better world. My husband has told me multiple times that his motivation to work and provide has grown drastically ever since we got married and had our first baby. He draws immense pride from providing for me and our son. I think that the ability to motivate others to that extent is a superpower for sure and I love being my husbands motivation. Feminism ignores that kind of influence women have had on men pretty much completely.

Yes. Just look at old tribes: Women were sacred because they could give birth. Here in Germany it was until the early medieval age. A bit over 2.000 years ago, Caesar wrote about the celtic tribes, and how the warriors show the women their wounds so they bless them. In general, men often were on the hunt, sometimes for weeks, and women stayed at home, so mainly women benefited from building houses, ovens, furniture and most other goods 🤷♂️

She constantly blames Joe Biden for the economy but once again, doesn’t actually give an example. Meanwhile, I can think of several things Donald Trump did which were despicable. I’ve tried to do some research and the only thing I can see is that people think Biden is too old to be president.

as a Dutch person I love that when Brett says she thinks something is Dutch I already know it's gonna be German🤣
@oldreliable7069 ай бұрын
Maybe, it´s because of the almost similar german noun "Deutsch", which means "German" in Germany. There is, for example, a special camera angle called "Dutch Angle", which means filming in a diagonal angle, avoiding right angles. (This is often used to depict instability, in particular, mental instability.) But this technique was originally invented by german film makers and used in early Horror Movies of the 1920th, referring to an Art movement called "Expressionism". And so the lazy Americans just shortened the "Deutsch Angle" into a "Dutch Angle". Long story short; I like to be a babbling Chatterbox😂 Btw. This Emoji is a "Dutch Angle": 🤣 P.S. I am D(e)ut(s)ch.

By his own logic, if men have been in charge since 10,000 BC and have gotten us to this point with all the comforts and advancements that we have now, I'd say we've done pretty well for society even with the current state of things.
@victorcates93309 ай бұрын
The idealisation of women also used to include the notion that they're soooo close to nature and super well adjusted. So if you had a female run village, there was this assumption that they'd just chill, grow vegetables and hug each other a bunch. Technological development and discovery were driven by going places, conquering people (and resultant cross pollination) and being very prepared to have people die along the way. If, for the sake of argument, women wouldn't be prepared to kill people working stuff out, then you aren't developing the ships necessary to engage in trade (and develop surpluses necessary to pivot to problems beyond subsistence). Do you even get metallurgy without mass violence (coded as male)?. Without men being deeply unhinged, we might have never escaped villages. I look at men and think "they're the idiots who died getting to the south pole. they're the idiots who died developing planes.". I mean, if you're hurling yourself off a cliff trying to work out heavier than air travel (after having watched the previous guy pancake), it seems like masculine overconfidence and overcompensation are helpful. Getting to the moon was a direct consequence of weapons development, being prepared to kill humans and animals in experiments, and boredom. Now we have space stations and really expensive science projects.
@leonnunhofer34539 ай бұрын
Around 10.000 BC, civilizations started. Farming. We know, before that some tribes worshipped women, because they can give birth. Later it switched from women and nature to gods. So with civilizations starting around 10.000 BC, and women being worshipped before that, I see, why he thinks, that's probably the date men took over society 🤷♂️
@leonnunhofer34539 ай бұрын
@@victorcates9330Yes, I agree. I think, women in the past lived more like from day to day, without really caring to improve things, if they have enough survive. Men were curious about what else is out there. First of all, for hunting they had to leave villages for days, sometimes for weeks. They needed effective weapons. They had to fight over deer and ressources. While hunting, they found better places and settled, spread out, from africa to europe and asia. They had to adapt to the different environments, had different ressources, had different basics, ressources, to create things. That's a foundation for trading. For trading, but also for transporting the prey, wheelbarrows help. Boats help. Let the rivers do the work. Ships and sails. Also having animals in cages is easier than hunting. You get milk, you learn to use it. Same with things to eat, with farming. More to eat, more, better nutrition, so the brain grows. Also the fights over deer, but later over ressources, sometimes over women, lead to war. That leads to weapons, but also better systems for organisation, bigger settlements. It's safer. Walls. Different tasks, so different jobs. Trading, but also wars, made streets necessary. Big settlements made sewerage necessary. Ofc the more you know the more you have to teach, so you need scripture. It's just one step after another, it's consequent. There is this show, where they have women and men separated on an Island, and I saw summaries on KZbin. The men there usually follow the same steps, as far as possible. The women just fail, panic and cry. With men going out, hunting, but also working to improve their life quality, civilizations and empires slowly were created. So imo women want to stay at home, and if it's enough to survive, it's enough for them, and men want to go out, and to improve life quality, because it always could be better. You just have to be willing to get dirty and work for that. We are different, with different mindsets 🤷♂️

Modern man is caught in the technology trap of its own making. Like a monkey in a trap holding a banana refusing to let go to free itself. Modern humanity, long addicted and trapped in reductionist science and technology, is doomed by its own stupidity. It is the old monkey trap story of how hunters in Africa trapped monkeys by putting bananas in a bottle. Like the monkey with a bottle stuck on its hand, mankind is fearful of any change today: it fears failure and it fears success. The monkey keeps its hand doubled up in the bottle holding on to the banana, just as modern man is holding on to the highly consumerist and pollution-ridden technology despite the fast-unfolding fact that this industrialism is out to destroy mankind soon. Because, like the monkey refuses to open its hand and free itself, modern man too refuses to let loose his hold on technology and let go the industrialism, he can't go free and think of alternate methods in the world in which human species lived for millions of years without modern technology of industrialism.

I’m a very heavy k pop Stan, and I think president park from South Korea being “impeached “ and her entire time in office highlights the probable things that could go wrong with a woman in power. Nothing against former president park, but the ferry tragedy and all the other things that happened when she was in power makes me uneasy. We are obviously not South Korea, but I would just take it into consideration. If anyone is interested, Stephanie Soo does an incredibly deep dive into the itaewon ferry tragedy on her channel Rotten Mango.
