Excellent video, Crafsman! Here are a couple of tips for steady crafmens who may not can order stuff from online for whatever reason, but still wanna do a little molding and casting like the Crafsman: You can make your own mold putty from a tube of silicone and a box of cornstarch. But mix it up on your back porch, the silicone/cornstarch cures quicker than just silicone by itself, and the smell of vinegar it makes when curing will run you outta the house! I make mine like making strange biscuits. I throw down a sheet of wax paper, drop about a half cup of the cornstarch on it, then I squeeze out however much silicone from the tube that I think I'll need. Coat my gloves and some wide, flat craft sticks with vaseline and then I cut the silicone into the cornstarch. I sprinkle more and more starch, cutting it in, then continue mixing with my fingers and hands , until I have it at about the consistency of biscuit dough. It goes from being real sticky to a tacky putty in just a couple minutes. You'll have about three or so minutes of working time to press it into the object you want to mold. I usually play it safe by spraying a little cooking spray on the object first tho. It cures fast, like in twenty or thirty minutes. Anyhow, sorry for the long comment.

In case anybody’s wondering, nickel silver, also known as German silver, does not contain any real silver. It just looks silvery. It’s usually about 60% copper, 20% nickel, and 20% zinc. Some people get skin irritation from jewelry containing nickel. If you’re one of those people, you probably want to avoid nickel silver powder (although it isn’t toxic).

Hey, Freddy! Thank you for the opportunity to try it. I'm impressed by the consistency; in further testing on my end, it seems like it picks up details a little easier than other mold putty formulas. Cure time and durability are just what I expected. Great product!
