I love your pattern and have made it a couple times with a modification for round 4. I find the detail gets lost in the pattern so I just single crochet the round with two single crochets in the #2 stitch and #5 stitch of each group. You still end up with 64 stitches at the end of the round which let's you do round 5 as usual with 64 double crochets. It was easier for me!

I had troubles keeping count of the stitches so it helped to mark the corner stitches so I knew if I was doing it right. I was wondering what was going on because I was trying to comment again haha this is what I was going to say Also, at the end of the sixth row you should have, 28 triple crochets, 16 double crochets, 16 half double crochets, and 20 single crochets. You will have four corners at that point, with five triple crochets in one stitch for each corner. @TheCraftNut4 жыл бұрын
I’m sorry it is aggravating you, is it the top side that keep turning into a v? So it’s almost like an arrow then instead of a triangle?
@rachelpaigebaby4 жыл бұрын
The Craft Nut yeah the part that is supposed to be the edge at the base of the half circle. I tried loosening the original 7 double crochets so the half circle wasn’t tightened so much & it seemed to help a bit but it still indents in the center of the original half circle. I might just remake the one half square because the second one I’m making right now seems to be better. It’s a slight curve to make it look like an arrow but i am a perfectionist & my OCD is kicking my butt rn 😂😂😂
@TheCraftNut4 жыл бұрын
I totally understand that I am a perfectionist too. And I’m glad you got it working a little bit better now. It will tend to curve just slightly, so the top edge won’t be perfectly flat but it should be fairly flat, there is also a border around the top of the bag once you see it all together that helps hide the fact that it isn’t perfectly flat across the top of those half square. If you need any more help let me know!! 😊☮️💙🎶

@TheCraftNut3 жыл бұрын
@@carlifreakk666 ok so first i want you to look at how they are laid out around 24:00. now that you have one half piece connected to one full square you will want to connect the next full square to the other side of the half square you already have connected to the first full square, exactly opposite - mirrored - from the first full square, as shown in the picture around 24:00. once you have that second full square on you will then sew the second half square onto the top diagonal side of the second full square just like you did with the first full square and the first half square. once you have those connected in the way it shows around 24:00 you will then want to fold the first half square in half so that the first and second full squares are facing each other - mirroring each other. you will then fold the second half square in half the same way the first half square is now folded making it so the second diagonal side is now connected to the open top diagonal side of the first full square. you will now sew these two connecting sides together to complete sewing the sides together. you can now sew the bottom closed. i hope that helped! @TheCraftNut Жыл бұрын
It would be a lot to do to remake a whole video just for that. I am sorry you are having a hard time understanding. Basically - as long as you have two full sized square and two half squares, you will want to lay the full sized squares down so they are diamond shaped, then lay the half square down so the flat end is lined up with the top corners of the full sized squares making it so the “top” diamond edges of the full square and the “bottom” Diamond edges of the half squares are lined up. Do that with all the square. When you have it in a full square, half square, full square, half square pattern you will want to fold it so the last two diamond edges of the unconnected half square and the unconnected full square are lined up and sew them together as well. Then see the bottom two diamond edges of the full squares together to form the bottom of the bag. Hopefully that helped a little more and if you need to see it in closer detail there is a written pattern for this on my Etsy, linked in the bio of this video
