@hotgaard 0 seconds ago Thank you for your fine video. I have a 2.28 in. machine essentially like the one you demonstrate, but for some reason, although the device seems excellent, well made and robust, it crimps the image paper perfectly, but the plastic film, the same size as the image paper, is crimped only part way round, making the button unusable. It appears that the mylar disk is off center and too small on one minor arc of the circle to crimp. Do you have any idea why this happens every time? I'm tired of wasting materials on perfectly crimped buttons with no plastic cover.

Hi. Sounds like the mylar film is too small. Reach out to the manufacturer to let them know & ask if they offer a larger sized Mylar. I hope you find fix. It’s BUTTON MAKING SEASON! 🎉

@@thecreativelady1908 Thank you so much for your kind reply that set me on the path to resolving the crimping issue. As it turned out, the image paper was a few millimeters too large because the foot of the cutter, the same as yours, prevented my cutting the disk to size. After grinding about 1/32 inch of plastic all around the edge of the foot, and recutting my images, every one of them has been successful after the frustration of seeing all of my prior attempts fail. Thanks again.

Do i need a specific printer for the buttons or i can print the designs with a normal printer? And what about the paper cutter is it one size or adjustable ? 💗
@thecreativelady4 ай бұрын
Hi. No special printer required. You can use your regular printer to create designs: inkjet or laser. Sublimation ink is not even recommended. A laser print is best but if you have an ink jet, you may want to cure it with a top coat or laminate the design. The paper cutter is one size. I hope this helps.

Yes! Great upcycle! I even tested a page from an ULTA Beauty catalog and it worked.

Thank you so much for this video. I bought the same machine and probably waited seven or eight months before I even opened it. And then from there it was a disaster. I couldn’t get the plastic to hold around the button. The mylar plastic wouldn’t stay and then everything sucked together with the backplate. So maybe I was doing something totally wrong and I’m excited once I get home to give it a try based on your video.

You’re welcomed. Trust me, I understand. I was using mine completely wrong when I first got it. I was not aligning it right and thought I had to put a lot of pressure on it to get it to work. Nope. It was user error & sketchy instructions. I hope you get yours to work. Please keep me posted. 💚
