I love these cartoons. Sups was underpowered a lot in it and had to do team work. My favorites are the episodes he was sent to the future and met Vandal Savage.
@lanier42573 жыл бұрын
Plus the cartoon had that charm the mcu has. Not exact but in its own right. Why couldn’t this universe start out with the dark tone it had going for it then slowly build to that sort of family friendly surface, but stay consistent with that darker undertone to it?
@adhirg3 жыл бұрын
they could literally remake one of the cartoon story arcs from season 1 of Justice League in Live Action and I would praise it as the best comic book film of all time. but nah, we need to make original stories that don’t make any sense. it’s so simple yet WB can’t fucking handle it.

Amazing stuff, back in the 90s. Batman had some great gritty crime episodes, and then Superman cam in with some truly epic Sci-fi. I mean how obvious is it to take a totally underrated, brilliantly written cartoon and turn it into a movie?

That's a "power of flight" trope that has bugged me for ages. Being able to fly doesn't magically make a structure maintain structural integrity when there's barely any support. Similarly, there's the "Super Strength = Toggleable Super Weight" trope, where when someone has super strength, it somehow means they can't be picked up or moved.

The Macguffin quality is different than in the Avengers, because for the Avengers they were already Macguffins in previous movies, and we were already shown how powerful they are. To some extent that stops them being a meaningless macguffin; in the later movies the infinity stones couldn't just be swapped out, because they've been written to have history in the world. In this DC movie though, these macguffin boxes are just pure macguffins. They could be swapped out with a ring or a wand. I don't even like the Marvel movies. But they're clearly better than DC's response.

To be honest most of the MCU from Age of Ultron onwards had that effect on me, but at least it had a consistent quality to it. If you liked what Disney were doing you'd have a good time, because largely they stick to their guns. If you were actually a fan of the first 3 DCEU films you weren't catered for in the same way, from Justice League onwards, and if you weren't then WB didn't cater for you fully either. All their films, from Aquaman onwards seem rather self conscious, like they're trying to distance themselves from anything Snyder touched. Maybe if they stopped trying so hard NOT to be something, and were just themselves, like Disney, they'd actually please someone? At the moment they're just randomly chucking stuff and seeing what sticks. It's just confusing and makes it frustrating to be a DC movie fan.

I feel the need to mention that Flash is the only one who can safely travel at such speeds, from a scientific standpoint. Superman and Wonder woman might be able to match his speed, however Flash has the speedforce. This allows him to ignore the laws of physics to travel at these speeds, but Superman and Wonder Women don't have this ability. When you travel at those speeds and can't ignore physics while doing so...a lot of people burst into flames.

About Wonder Woman durability, that's a thing from the comics. She can survive hits from beings that can destroy planets, and yet bullets can harm or even kill her (at least in the standard level). Why? Someone had said that it centers about the type of damage, like blunt vs piercing attacks, but I've always thought that it felt forced. Then again, the same goes for Spiderman or the street level being at Marvel. They can get punched to oblivion by heavy hitters, and yet a bullet will potentially kill them.
@uhohcuzzo2 жыл бұрын
I gotta say Spider-Man is misrepresented in a lot of circumstances because the writers forget how strong he can actually be.Originally his overhead press was 10 tons and slowly increased over time(for various reasons) to about 25 tons. When it comes to “street level” he really is an anomaly and is weird because he’s head and shoulders above everyone else performance wise versus Daredevil,Punisher,MoonKnight. Spidey’s the same guy that single handedly beat the OG X-Men.Yet when fighting Cap initially he said he was actually dazed and considered him one of his hardest hitters and that’s after fighting beings like the Lizard who were many fold over cap in striking power. Long story short Comic logic is idiotic at its core because different writers create their own limits for Characters based on their story.Which can be entertaining but in hindsight it leads to too many contradictions and convoluted continuities. I know this is an old comment but it’s also a concern and observation I made similar to you.

Batman being in the background wouldn't have been such a bad thing, if he played the part that he's always supposed to have played for the Justice League: The calm, collected strategist. His one ability that he had over the other JL characters in almost every medium was his ability to be calm, collected and always be thinking twenty steps ahead of everybody else as he relies on his incredible ability to analyse (to a fault) every situation and how his team should act based on their collective abilities. But because they don't even do that, he just gives off the impression that he's there and has a shite load of money that he can hand over whenever the league needs a new jacuzzi or something. Sad

Here is a bit of nerd trivia for you all: Wonderwoman is nearly invincible, except for her fatal weakness, which is piercing weapons. She can take a danish head from Superman every day, but a single knife stab could possibly kill her. This is why she bothers blocking bullets with her wrist guards instead of just ignoring them. Also, The Flash´s power comes from time manipulation, so the people in the car would be fine. Of sourse, the movies would make better sense if any of this was explained. 🤷♂️

7:25 Flash isn't pushing the truck. He's bringing the truck into the Speed Force, for a short while, which essentially removes limitations, such as inertia and friction, from the equation, in regards to movement. That's the comic explanation. But, since the movie does fuck and all to explain this, your point is entirely valid.
@Bryan461624 жыл бұрын
And yet the Flash can conduct the infinite mass punch which relies on the momentum of his fist traveling at impossible speeds to obliterate planets. Which is it DC comics? Does the Flash obey the laws of physics or not? Aw, forget it. It's a comic book character.
@CaitiffFTW4 жыл бұрын
@@Bryan46162 In short, no. Flash does NOT obey the laws of physics. Superman is NOT as fast as Flash. Superman and Wonder Woman are fast. Flash IS speed. Slightly longer, but still not long answer: Flash can do either or, at will. Barry Allen can literally control the concept of speed, itself, allowing him to do anything he wants to, as long as it involves fast movement. Case in point, he held Superman at bay, for over a minute, by throwing pebbles, at 99 percent the speed of light.
