Hendersonville,Tn. Barry Gibb "The Bee Gees" owned it when it burnt. It burnt while they were renovating the home. Johnny was a different but great man. R.I.P Johnny Cash.

According to wikipedia.... In January 2006, Gibb purchased the former home of country singers Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash in Hendersonville, Tennessee, intending to restore it and turn it into a songwriting retreat. The house was destroyed by fire on 10 April 2007 while under renovation.

This reminds me of some of your first videos. I was listing to John, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee, Elvis, Roy Orbison as they came on the radio. I started listening to radio before I could see the knobs, I reach up as far as I could and turn it on. I listen to Wayne Raney, WOWO, WWVA. Good old days. I can't forget Fat's Domino and Chubby Checker.

That's so awesome Adam. I love Johnny Cash too. I remember him the most when he was on an episode of Little House on the Prairie and, Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman. They should rebuild the house and, open it up for tourists.

Just a tidbit for you, Johnny Cash was from a lil town in arkansas called Dice, the home he grew up in is still there and many of his kin are still around - his younger brother was a singer also - my husbands mom and dad grew up there also and knew him... they say he was a bad boy, no doubt : ) I love Johnny Cash!

My former hometown. Taylor Swift and Kelly Clarkson also live nearby. That's Old Hickory Lake. My father used to work on the Cash cars as a mechanic. He'd picked them up from that garage and take them back to his shop.

I believe that when this house burned it was actually owned by another legendary singer- Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees. I think he had bought it and was renovating it when it burned.

I adore Johnny Cash and June as well, even though they are no longer with us. I love his version of Sunday Mornin' Comin' Down, a nice song for this Sunday morning :) I was just reading that Kris Kristofferson considers that song to be the one that allowed him to quit working (9 to 5 drudgery type work that is)

Don't know if you believe in the power of spirits or not, but I find it odd that the house burned down during a re-modeling a few years after his death. Seems like he didn't want ANYONE else living in there.
