3.3mm Copper or Silver for 10 and above with 3.8mm Copper being the heaviest
Tail: - The Sunburst Collection Squirmy Wormy Materials as long as you like but I like 1”-1.5”
Body: - Matching Dave Downie Candyfloss Dubbing

This is the best process I have watched to date in placing all the materials onto the hook - great effort in explaining the details. I fish Maryland and Pennsylvania streams and rivers and know this fly works! Tight lines and thank you for the lesson....Mike

Fished the Missouri River in Montana last weekend and my wife caught a 22” rainbow on a squirmy wormy this color. Talk about a happy girl :-)

Great videos, David! You explain everything very clearly. I bought some of these same worms you have. I like your tying method for this fly and I'll give it shot. I would've thought using a 14/0 thread would slice the worm material. Apparently not! Thank you and best regards.......Kevin.

How durable is this material? Will the first fish not just rip it apart?

No always sometimes yes the fish will pull the rubber off I also had fish take it 3 times and bite a piece of each time then hooked the fish on the 4th cast. Like all rubber it will perish over time thats why I dont have a lot in my box at any one time. I only use these when floods and the day is very slow... but they are worth having in your box and the material is the best unlike many of the fakes out there is more supple and soft...

it woudl probably destroy the rubber mateiral eventually, I prefer to use no chmicals if possible, the rubber is very soft. hope that makes sense :)
