Is it just me, cuz I like the ‘Luke’s big betrayal’ in the books better… I just don’t quite like how they portrayed it in the TV series. But overall the whole tv remake is rly good!!!💙💙💙

Am I the only one that didn’t really like the casting of Annabeth I felt like everyone else was spot on and Annabeth just felt off to me.

I haven’t read the lighting thief in like a year but I feel like in the book she had a lot more to do then in the show. In the show all it felt like she did was have the hat of invisibility and then let Percy figure everything out while she was in the back round.(I thought the actress did a great job with what she got though)

Percy did a lot of figuring out in the book too (on a count of being the protagonist), but in the show, Annabeth comes up with plans and knows everything about mythology. Not to mention she has a lot of character development, what with her relationship with her mother.

I Think I’m The Only One Who Thinks This But The Ares Fight Was Incredibly Anti-Climactic And A Huge Let Down They Barely Fought At All The Fight Itself Lasted Barely A Few Seconds

I understand that. I suppose it was a little anti-climactic. But as I mentioned in the video, I think it makes sense because A. They wanted to focus more on the confrontation with Zeus. B. It makes sense that Percy wouldn't last long in sword-to-sword combat against a god. Still, I guess they could've improved the battle- maybe punctuated it with dialogue.

I feel that, It was a letdown for me as well initially because I remember it sounding so cool in the book; however, with multiple commentators mentioning that taking some of the intensity out of the Zeus encounter I do understand it. I still felt that initial moment, and I'll see how I feel on rewatch. Still understand the pros to the change, but I'm with you on that strongly underwhelmed feeling initially. I saw no exploading police cars 😭 So, you're not alone though I did pay for the fast track into acceptance in the grief stages

The Ares fight felt awesome to me. Percy is really taking those hits and looks in real danger. Also, the look in his face when the water rises behind him is exactly how I wanted it to be. The way he rushed ares at the end too was epic. In terms of the fight scene in the book...it was just as brief he couldn't have lasted long at all. It only feels cooler in the books becasue of oercys first person perspective.
