Oh My! 🤣 I had to watch this twice before commenting. I’ve learned so much from this video. 1) Jami doesn’t like to grind on the pork but she is the perfect meat packer and she handles the shaft well 2)Bri has really strong hands and is great at working her meat and according to Jami she has ALOT of meat 3)Steve is gentle when stroking her meat but when it comes to the tip she will just rip it off 🤣 I do believe this was the funniest video I’ve seen in a long time! Now we need to see Buddy, Laramie and Lester try to figure out how to use the meat packer on their own 😂😂

Girls, that was great! I was having flashbacks to my job of 42 years, in a sausage dept. we worked with 400 lb batches, lots of natural casings and linking machines, so it was great to see you all have the kind of fun my co-workers and I used to have! Long days, in a cold room ( 40 degrees) and plenty of aches and pains every day, but it enabled my husband and I to reap the rewards of early retirement. Thanks for the memories🙂

Growing up on a huge ranch, in a “hunting and fishing “ family, I stuffed more sausages than you could ever imagine. Between the standard meat from our farm ( beef , pork, chicken, turkey, etc.) and the wild meat (deer, elk, antelope,……..) we learned to make a variety of sausages that everyone loved. Had we not made sausages, smoked various cuts, etc., meat would have gotten very boring. lol. Great memories! Thanks ladies!!! One last thing that just came to mind: we used all natural casings (usually saved when we butchered pork). The only memory I have of those casings is having to clean them ……..oh what a yucky horrible job! We wasted very little of any animal that went to freezer camp. Great video!

3:51 I actually double line the bathroom trash can with Walmart sacks, and put some paper towels in the bottom to soak it up. Then all I have to do is throw the Walmart sacks away. Wha-la! Quickest clean up for sick kids, or adults!

I am remembering when my grandparents made sauge. The dinning table would be covered with ground pork, ground venison, and ground fat over 4 inches deep. It was all all day job. Once the meat was on the table, then groundma would layer the seasoning on top of the meat. She would make a muxture of garlic and water to pour on top of the meat. This would be worked into the meat. Once the meat and seasoning was mixed, grandma would cook some sauge patties to check the seasoning. Everybody in the family would be there to help. That was back before the 70's.
