Well here in about a month from now I will be building a 2005 24 valve common rail for a friend so I will post videos on that build. I just pulled the motor last week. Blow by is caused by bad rings and cylinders. Diesels do not make vacuum so there is NOT chance of it being valve stem seals. I would say it is time to rebuild it.

I have not been on youtube watching videos in a long while but I heard he had problems with one that he just bought in California. The 6.2 & the 6.5 were the dogs of diesels.

Since you're going to be using that white truck as a work truck you should put a mini engine crane on the back of it. Can't wait for more videos.

If you think your piston rings are worn, just do a blowby test on the truck and you will be able to determine if your engine is badly worn or not.

Not the salt it is his ability to drive lol. He does need some convincing to quit fooling around with 6.5 Turbo diesels. His green suburban needs a 24 valve common rail.
