They did say they found a strain of e-coli but not if that was it or not, watched it this morning. Considering it's a taped show and no update added, do wonder. I had similar symptoms caused by surgery. My colon was positioned wrong and when ever it tore, I'd have similar symptoms. Pepto bismol like treatment helped me. I'd chug about a 1/3 of a bottle. A neighbor suggested I try that when he thought I ate food that caused my symptoms.

It’s so frustrating when doctors can’t figure out what’s wrong with you. Especially when you have to pay for everything yourself and still don’t know what’s wrong. Currently dealing with something similar, although not as bad as her. And all the doctors did was accuse me of being anorexic or that it was all in my head. Hope they figure out what’s wrong with her!
@julieanna22287 жыл бұрын
Bren have you tried keeping a diary of everything you eat and drink and your exercises to try and prove to the doctors that you aren't anorexic?
@bren64167 жыл бұрын
Julie Ann Hi, I’ve tried that just to figure out if it was a gluten intolerance or something and my parents told them I eat 3 full meal a day. My hair is also more prone to falling out too. I can tell the doctors get frustrated when they see me. Contemplating switching to a university hospital :( I wish I could gain a few pounds, I’m cold all the time.
@julieanna22287 жыл бұрын
Bren your hair falling out is probably due to the weight loss. if your doctor's aren't willing to believe you and help you then you need to switch to a different doctor

Bren....This is really sad. There is the old saying: " You are what you eat ". That is an incorrect statement. The true statement is, " You are whatever nutrients your body gets ". I am thinking, thyroid problem, low in probiotics, low stomach acids, or low in enzymes. Or you might even have a Leaky Gut. My 1st thing I would look at is Thyroid problem. If your thyroid goes out of wack, your whole body starts falling apart. This is info I have learned based on KZbin clips. Fix your thyroid = drink Ginger hot tea 3 cups a day, with lemon if you like lemon. Low probiotics = eat some yogurt. Low stomach acids = cucumbers, celery in your salad. Low enzymes = Papaya with pineapple. Fix Leaky Gut = Chicken, beef or Pork bone broth. Don't buy anything boneless. Make sure everything has bones. Pour in about 3 tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar ( Organic with the mother ). Let it cook in low heat for about 3 hours before you throw in other things. Throw in Squash, Cabbage, carrots. and your choice of other veggies. Once you serve yourself, squeeze 1/2 lemon on it. eat enjoy. If this doesn't work, then I don't know. you have something else going on. I'm NOT a doctor. But this is info that has helped me and many others. You may also want to look it up on KZbin everything Ive mentioned to get more clearity. Hope this info helped you.

I had cachexia as a result of undiagnosed type 1 diabetes at age 14. At first it was "yay, I'm eating more than ever and I'm still losing weight! Lucky me!" and then the fatigue kicked in, the constant thirst, the constant peeing, the hunger, dry skin on my hands, dry mouth, and in the end puking liter after liter up without having eaten or drunken anything at all, the confusion, brain fog, blurry sight, chest pain, feeling like I was suffocating and hyperventilating. I thought I was dying of cancer or some other terrible disease... And I would have, if I wouldn't have gotten treatment - thank science for insulin! :P Anyway, I spent 10 days in the hospital and then had to deal with all the things a type 1 diabetic has to deal with when I was sent home. Then when I get back to school a month later, my friend said, "wow, you're so lucky that you can eat that much and still be skinny... I wish I had diabetes." ... Bitch! Just no! -_-

lil carlo no. Type one Diabetes is such a hard illness that is chronic meaning there is no cure. It can cause depression, OCD, eating disorders, limitation of diet so many more things too... Constant needles, I in fact have 1 wire and a needle inside of me right now! So Type one Diabetes is not a disability that enables you to play fortnite all the time, T1D doesn't make you a lazy person! In fact it makes you a stronger person. Type one Diabetics are able to do any other thing that you can do; It depends on their determination.

I remember I got this skinny when I traveled outside the country. I wasn't diagnosed with this but I went to the hospital because I would throw up everytime I would eat. Nothing would stay down. Not even water! I started getting weak because I was dehydrated it was just the worse. I went to the hospital and had ultra sounds and everything and the doctors found nothing. Doctor said I was only dehydrated and sent me home. After months of still feeling sick my aunt suggested I go to a natural healer. The healer rubbed my stomach for 20 mins and made my stomach make a lot of noises. After that I was able to hold down food. I respect modern medicine but after being cured I always tell people to have open mind with natural remedies and medicines. I hope this girl never loses hope

@Ag-rx4kl6 жыл бұрын
@@lxxnx_y It's important to always get tested, maybe you're sensitive to certain foods? This isn't relatable to my last post because when I got really sick I was 18 years old. I'm now 30 and started getting different pain this year. Every time I would eat I would get stabbing pains on my stomach. Very excruciating! So I went to get tested and the doctor told me I had gallstones and had my gallbladder removed :) So always get tested but if all fails the massages could help to get your digestion back on track. Check out this video, it's in Spanish but it's definitely a good video and you can do it on yourself! Use some lotion and rub your own belly or get someone to do this for you at home. Nah, her wanting a family and kids is also important and heartbreaking, because that has to do with giving up on her dreams/goals. Staying alive isn’t the goal - living a fulfilling life is the goal. @Gamer Girl Peyton They are both bad but i think worrying that you have a sickness or something is kinda bad. If you understood you would know, every symptom you get you fear the worst and think you actually have it and then no matter hoa many doctors say no or your good you cant believe them and etc whatever shit im over it now
@PopPrincess7147 жыл бұрын
I had the same symptoms too. I later started to see what I was eating as well, i thought maybe that could have been the problem. I did an experiment. first to keep eating the same food and notice what foods were causing this. After a few weeks, I decided to see what happens when I stopped consuming certain food I thought were keeping me ill. Long and behold, the diarrhea went away, the nerve pain went away, the hand shaking went away, I got my memory back (no more foggy brain), and I wasn't tired as much. I stopped eating food that had gluten (wheat) in them, and since I have hypothyroidism, I also stopped eating certain food that were a big no no for hypothyroid people. I started to gain weight and feel better again.

The poor lady lost in her own bedroom. Its a common effect of low fat, its a sign that its too low. Got it as an athlete. Very unpleasant.
@archilonshadowheart76 жыл бұрын
thats why keto diets work so well when you adjust to using HEALTHY fats as a energy source. brain is made up of basically fat and water, muscle is water and protein for the most part. plus you feel fuller higher fat meals than you do on higher carb meals which make you want to eat again. fat will slow the digestion of whatever you just ate so if salad gets digested to quickly have it with some nuts or avocado. but problem is athletes underestimate the intensity of there sport and you can burn alot more during and especially after exercise up to a few hours after even than you may think so calories should be higher in that window of time. plus inactive a person who has more muscle is burning more calories than someone who has less when both are doing nothing. so being an athlete has side effects in a way
@chelsey73826 жыл бұрын
archilonshadowheart7 I lost 100lbs doing high carb low fat. It's still possible to be full you just need to know the difference between simple and complex carbs. Fiber and protein also help you stay full. When I tried to limit carbs i was weak and couldn't keep up with my workouts. Keto is a good for some people but it's not a fix all like most people on the diet make it out to be.
@archilonshadowheart76 жыл бұрын
well of course not i've seen Jay cutler diet down to 6% bodyfat at 280 lbs at 5'9 and he was having over 1000g of carbs daily.you were likely weak from lack of energy being carbs which likely would not have happened had you had enough healthy fats which contain more than twice as many calories than carbs in a single gram.
@chelsey73826 жыл бұрын
archilonshadowheart7 if you were eating simple carbs all day long you would feel terrible. It's all in what you eat. I have never had lack of energy after eating a mango. I actually felt the best I have ever did when i switched over how i eat. Keto does work good for some people but it just isnt realistic for me to do.
@archilonshadowheart76 жыл бұрын
well difference people have different preferences, i mean Friedrich Nietzsche ate over 6 pounds of fruit a day, tonnes of fructose, (people know him as the man who said that which doesnt kill you makes you stronger) then there was Johnny Fuller who had organ meats one day, red meats one day, poultry one day, fish one day, protein shakes one day, a cheat day then a day of fasting. if you were to say graze on nuts then i imagine your appetite wouldnt be that high nor if you were fond of coffee which also would suppress appetite. there is no blanket statement best diet, its tailoring it to the goal at hand however specific or basic it is. hey if you burn it off it wouldnt matter what you eat, swimmer and cyclists on the olympic level often eat pizzas,ice cream and energy drinks and pounds of pasta, now anyone can do that, but the key is the simple fact is whatever you eat, if you burn it off you've lost weight, a simple thing to do is fill up on filling things, i mean how hard would it be to lose weight on any diet ratio high carbs moderate protein or moderate protein high fat. problem with keto is people never have enough fat and become sluggish. i can live with bland most can not, so i cant relate but i do feel its a simple matter in theloss or gain of weight. i feel people can get away with eating more of what they wanted if they werent as lazy but if they are lazy you can just time your bad food to your most active times and your good food to your least active calorie burning times. plus the keto i do isnt the kind of keto you google, it's a bodybuilders keto. which is really just upping the healthy fats and not necessarily having no carbs, its having little carbs and the key being not having carbs in the same meal as fats as a fat would slow carb digestion and thus when your not using carbs you will store them either as glycogen in your muscles or as subcutaneous or visceral fat. realistically i dont even think people drink the recommended amount of water for the average sedentary adult let alone a moderately active one so thats gonna play a part.

Doctors... find just one who really cares. Or better, who really knows what he's doing as a doctor. I was almost killed so many times by their BS, beginning from age 7. Wrong diagnoses, surgical mistakes, too high a dose of the same radioactive crap we were ALL told to be afraid of, following the explosions in Japan of the nuclear plant when the earthquake and tsunami hit. That put an end to my life. Nothing is normal anymore. The thyroid I take has never helped my hypo state, my body does not regulate itself to the ambient temp. I'm hot cold hot cold. Sleep days at a time. Then I'm awake for days with insomnia. Too weak to move. Gained to the point of 197 lbs. I am 5 ft 5 in. From July to October I lost 37 lbs. Then another 10 lbs. Hair gone. Teeth.. all pulled because I wasn't COVERED for the few teeth needing work. Now I've become a shadow waiting to die. 70 yrs old and I look 90. There's more, much much more... and I can't do a thing about it. I was working in Italy and making a good living which I had waited and worked so very hard for. Now I live in a bldg full of roaches in CA which has rules which are made to remind us every day of our rent being subsidized, etc etc. All because, ONLY because, I went to an American Dr in 93. If they help this woman, I mean truly find out exactly what she needs, I'll be shocked. If she has the money, she should go to Rome, Italy for a good endo. That's where I should have stayed. If you're poor, over 65 and ill, on medicaid, medicare, find out if your primary is an m.d. or a Nurse Practitioner. That's what we get. Don't you love how they proclaim this lady suffers from Cachexia! HUH? BUT, "they've no idea where it's coming from". Nonono, I believe they don't know WTF CACHEXIA IS!!! Sorry for this vent... This country is so much in need of change... only the people can do it ---but they won't.

Thank you for putting this out there. I spent two and a half years in the same boat. I was told that I looked disgusting, people would tell me to go eat a cheeseburger, or give me grotesque stares. I got down to 108 pounds. The pain in your stomach from being that skinny is unbearable. I spent the entire summer on the couch as my 8 yr old watched me whither away with muscle atrophy. While my symptoms have finally seized and ive managed to maintain a 130lb weight for 9 months, the battle isn't over yet. I am now dealing with muscle and joint pains and ailments as my body is slowly growing back unproportionatley. To ignorant people it seems like a nice weight loss plan but to the individual everyday feels like a death sentence.

Could be a aggressive parasite? Parasites can easily evade testing, can cause rapid extreme weight loss, disrupt intestinal processes and result in extreme fatigue & nervous system disorders. Parasites are not limited to 3rd world countries. The Kalcker Parasite protocol could be worth a look? (utilizes Mebendazole, Pyrantel & Neem). Hydrolysed collagen, liquid mineral supplementation, HCI & a quality amino acid formulation could help maintain tissue integrity until the cause is found. It's not psychological.

Don't mean to upset anyone, but Dr. House was kinda silly. I mean, it's ok as a Tv series, but in real life, medicine doesn't work that way and those illnesses he was trying to figure out what exactly were in most episodes, in real life they were actually pretty easy to figure out and be diagnosed/ most treated.
@chanterelledesign83106 жыл бұрын
Madi S. Actually, you would be surprised at how much stuff is missed. There are professionals in diagnostics who have tough times figuring out diseases, especially if the symtoms present can be related to a variety of illnesses that may not have a definite test and is trial and error. Not to mention that treatments for some illnesses can indeed harm or kill somone if they are not 100% sure that the diagnosis is correct.

it cant be worms (but it could be some other type of parasite tho maybe Chagas), I'm sure they did stool tests, she would have vitamin deficiencies by now either way (because of the chronic diarrhea) so yeah it could be one of the issues that are aggravating her condition but as for the real cause I'm more inclined to belive it is some sort food allergy she developed and hyperthyroidism (but im sure they should have checked for that before).

EidirB ydarg’O you can't diagnose parasites it's always diagnosed as negative. Vary rare to diagnose positive. Worms stay in your upper intestines. If ppl passed the worms and eggs then they wouldn't have parasites. ..because they would pass. Doctors only way of diagnosis parasites is thru a stool test... To bad parasites don't live in stools. If they would maybe humans wouldn't be infested with them. If you do a colonoscopy the camera will only go up thru your large intestine... Again parasites live in your upper intestines... So this will not diagnose either. You can tell a doctor you have all symptoms of parasites... But the doctor will not treat you without a positive result. There's an 80 percent chance you have worms. And no doctor can help you.

A lot of physicians can't see the forest for the trees. I've been in the health and fitness business for nearly 30 years with the last 5 years focusing on functional medicine. As she stated she has a fat malabsorption issue which is the reason for all the brain fog and weight loss. This could be caused by various factors, but most likely the problem lies in the gut, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, or all the above including but not limited to a mitochondrial defect at the DNA level. When you lack fat in your diet, your cellular membranes begin to shrivel up like a raisin and if severe enough you waste away like in her case. Something she could do immediately would be to counteract that process by supplementing in high doses of NTFactor which is specifically designed to repair the cell membrane. Supplementing with high dose digestive enzymes to see if that will lessen the diarrhea and if so, then you can narrow it down to the pancreas possibly not producing enough lipase if any at all. The liver would then come into play regarding the production of bile and then the gallbladder as well. Unabsorbed fats trap fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K) and possibly some minerals, causing deficiency. Bacterial overgrowth results in deconjugation and dehydroxylation of bile salts, limiting the absorption of fats. Unabsorbed bile salts stimulate water secretion in the colon, causing the diarrhea. Long story short, that's the reason why she has so much diarrhea because of the fat malabsorption. The diarrhea in itself is a secondary cause. Fix the fat malabsorption issue and the diarrhea will stop and she will get well. Of course the million dollar question is which organ is causing the fat malabsorption. Tests won't always reveal the problem. This is where common sense needs to be combined with experience to find the problem. In rare cases I've seen severe parasitic infestation cause similar illness, but you'd think they have already tested for that. I pray they find the issue.

I feel the same exact way about my memory. I have a lot of the same and or similar symptoms but my memory is bad and I say the same thing. It's like a cure but also a blessing. I have been abused and hurt most of my life and it's so nice that I don't have to live with all that pain every day. Really bad things have happened to me and I know some of them happened but I don't remember them so they don't hurt me as much or at all. Life is hard but I keep fighting and hopefully someday a lot of money will come my way and I can get what I need to be healthier and life a better life.
