How many of the thousands of lovely people who feel those incredibly deep feelings of empathy & compassion towards a poor dog treated like this are also vegan? A few, but not that many. If you are an animal lover and you care deeply about the plight of non-human animals, and you are not Vegan, then you are an emotional hypocrite who is paying other people to enslave, torture & kill animals. Don't get upset and angry with me for saying this. Think about it, a pig is every bit as intelligent and sentient and keen to live and not suffer as a dog is. Why do you feel so upset for the dog, yet put dismembered flesh of other animals on your plate every day. A human being can easily meet all it's nutritional needs from plant based food. What's more important your enjoyment of a taste, or animals lives?
@Missyou-.4 жыл бұрын
Dave - I absolutely agree with you. I’ve been vegan for years, have turned a few people into vegans, have made a bunch more feel like crap for for their poor, stubborn choices, have lost “friends” because I won’t eat the carcass on their plates, etc. Loving animals goes way beyond simple words ❤️
@TuftyVFTA4 жыл бұрын
Hey, thanks for responding. It saddens me so much that there are so many of lovely caring empathetic people, who have just been brainwashed and programmed to think that most of the food on their plate wasn't at one time every bit as frightened and suffering as the dog in this video. We know they are lovely caring empathetic people, because they are showing it in their responses to the video. I challenge all of them to go to watch the footage of animals being killed in slaughter houses, and say that those animals don't want to live, feel pain, want to be free, not want to be treated as milk producing machines, have their offspring torn away from them as soon as they are born, be forcibly impregnated as soon as the last lactation of milk has stopped, and killed at a young age because they are physically exhausted having been forced to have their normal lifetimes production (25 years) in just 4 or 5 short ones. That's just dairy cows. I know you know all this stuff. I'm just hoping others are reading it and will do their own research and see that this is all happening and that it's obscene & wrong. If people love animals and they are not vegan, then they have a big emotional and mental disconnect, which has been put there and programmed in by this capitalist society which sees animals exactly as it sees all products like metal, wood, grain, oil, you name it. But animals are not products to be owned, tortured & killed. They are sentient beings exactly the same as the dog in this video. Pleased to meet you 'Its me' Thanks for letting me rant on your reply... :)
@pottassiumpotato51164 жыл бұрын
Dave not all animals that we eat are tortured sure some poor animals are but some live happy lives and are killed humanly vegans need to fight against the people that have animals locked up and tortured not the ones that have happy lives in a farm until the day their killed humanly if every human were vegan it wouldn’t be a good thing because overpopulation and you don’t get enough vitamins being vegan I feel bad for all the animals that are Locked up any treated like scum and never touched the ground yet I still eat meat because I want to stay healthy and strong.

Then why is it okay to treat other animals terribly? Pigs are equally affectionate and more intelligent than dogs. Yet we slaughter them, and abuse them. We take the babies from their mommas to drink cow's milk. I think humans need to start shifting to a more compassionate thinking and apply "“I don’t just see an animal, I see a soul" to ALL beings.

I volunteer at a shelter, and pitbulls always have the saddest/angering stories. Too many people view pitbulls as a way to show off how "masculine" they are, and so they beat/ignore their dog until it inevitably attacks them or someone else, and the dog gets penalized. These dogs never asked for people like this, and the people who do this should be permanently banned from owning another pet. Wow, I didn't expect this to get much attention. Since it did, if anyone lives in Southern Illinois and wants to rescue a dog from a hard life, go to Louisville's no kill animal shelter. All of the dogs are friendly, and desperately deserve homes

Thoughts are with you, you are not alone. A lot of us are grieving right now. I just lost my cat Missy at the end of March, just a few days into lockdown. She had been sick for a year and a half and I done everything in my power to save her but she just got worse and I had to put her to sleep.. I'm devastated still. She was my best friend. Had her for only 8 years but she was my shadow. Now I'm all alone in quarantine without my best friend. I cant take my mind off her because I cant distract myself. It's hard. Big hugs. At least your boy had a good life and knew what love was. That's what gets me through. Take care.

To all that have lost a pet and feel alone during this time in isolation... Please foster an animal from your local shelter during this time. You are not obligating yourself to another animal, but being home 24/7 with a pet that would otherwise be in a shelter situation means the world to them. If it's too soon, or doesn't work out, it's still worth it, as they would be alone in a kennel, this whole time, and it might heal your heart from your loss... just a little.. Who knows?!? You might fall in love again! The pet you lost, would surely want you to be happy, and also the new love you let into your life.

I used to be super-phobic of dogs, after having been bitten as a girl. But I got tired of the fear and forced myself to make friends with every dog I met. Mind over matter, right? Now, it's the strangest thing, but dogs really seem to hold me in high esteem. I married a man with 5 dogs and soon became their pack leader. They seem to have elected me. Lol.

You know dogs can get pretty racist if they haven't got much contact outside their owner's race -- they sometimes have an initial distrust of unfamiliar races. It isn't against any particular race, just a different one than they're used to. Not all dogs are innately wise, is what I'm saying!

I can tell you this for a FACT! I saved a pitbull from a horrible place in its life. She now clings to me like dang glue I'm not even joking. She greets me every single day when I come home. She is the only one out of seven who will hold her potty when let outside to show her love for me first. I am her top priority. She gets so jealous by love to anyone else and literally appreciates anything I do. She knows I have faults but no matter what day it is she is always there to give me loving. A dog I never thought I'd rescue became the biggest protection and love I've ever had. Dogs are smart asf. jaee hovaa thank you for proving my point. Let me share an incident I was involved with. I was driving though a neighborhood and saw a man kicking his son, they were around the tool shed but in clear view from the street. I stopped my cruiser and turned my blue lights on and called dispatch to give my location told them what I was doing and also asked for an additional unit since the bad guy was bigger taller and heavier than me, I approached the bad guy and started some small talk as I waited on my back up...bad guy was drunk and he wasn’t a friend of law enforcement so he jumped at me as soon as he saw a chance...I had a duty belt full of goodies but the small boy was there and I didn’t want him to witness his dad getting taser or shot so the fight was on...the bad guy never hit me but the struggle to get him into a pair a cuffs was out of this world..we fought for 10 minutes but felt like 3 hours...every bone in my body hurt like crazy....after he was dropped off at the county jail I stopped at a gas station and grabbed a cup of coffee and sat in my car..only to hear a guy who walked by my car and said “ I sure wish I had a job where all I do is drink coffee “...I put my cup down and say....damn...
