I had a similar experience. My rescue dog hid under the table from me the first days. She had been neglected for 7,5 years, never got any attention or affection from humans and also 2 legs that urgently needed surgery. She's recovered now and never leaves my side. She falls asleep with her belly pushed into my side, her paws resting on me or she'll put her head on my arm. After 4 months she started giving kisses, so every morning when waking up she also washes my face a bit. I have a transport box cause I always take her with me when I visit family. When I grab the box and tell her: you coming with me? she starts spinning around, wagging her tail, making noise and starts scratching it until I open it. After 3 months she finally trusted my family and she now loves lying in my mom's lap. Rescue dogs are not a fairytale: you need time to do this, patience and be prepared for unexpected bills for potential health issues. But they are so worth it. This dog brings me, my siblings and my parents so much joy, we all love her dearly.

I ended up adopting a dog like that, scared, scarred, broken, rejected and mistreated so many times. That's the only life she knew for years. It took like 4 more years for her to heal physically an emotional. She woudnt even bark for over one year. Thank goodness there are people like this guy about. I had a young stray from a dog's home once, when I let him out in the yard for a run around, he would go and hide behind the shed, after a week to ten days I noticed there wasn't any "dog poop" at all, anywhere! I put my surveillance camera on the yard and found out that he was eating his own poop, God knows what punishment he got in the past for pooping in the garden, thankfully, he soon adjusted.

She is very happy with her forever family. Rocky spent a long time finding her the perfect people! He would have loved to keep her - the same as every dog he saves. Unfortunately, he needs to find them homes so he can carry on saving precious babies like blossom ❤

God bless all of you who work with abused animals and show them the way to a better life. My family has always adopted discarded animals - my Mom has two cats that were put in a dumpster when they were kittens - many years later they are still with her thanks to the care of the Vet who discovered them at her clinic. My current cat was discarded by an elderly couple as an 8 month old kitten and it has taken me several years to get her to calm down and now she is the most affectionate cat I've ever owned. What I have found is that we never "find" these wonderful animals - they find us. And our lives are always better off even when we find that we don't want to replace a long-term companion. When I adopted this last cat, my 17 year old companion who was given to me by a woman who had cancer had died. My heart was so empty and hurting and I swore I'd never go through that again. A month later I get a call from my Mom that the Vet had this discarded kitten. I reluctantly brought the cat carrier over to my Mom's house and left it in the car as I went in. I took one look at that kitten and that was all it took. Little did I know that the calm kitten that I first saw would end up being a very active tasmanian devil like cat, but my experience with cats suggested she was actually begging for attention. So I lavished her with as much as she could handle. And now she's around me giving me head butts when I'm working and waking me up with her precious meow at 5am to get fed. Life gets no better!

For example if a grip of people start buying avocadoes the demand will go up and so will the supply the same would happen if people stop buying it just that in reverse. Therefore its logical and common knowledge that if you commonly pay for meat you are paying the next to be bred into hell to be killed, therefore its ridiculous to try and say "Woah woah woah, rhe industry kills them not me" while you literatly pay for this to continue, i could say the same if i bought sex slaves, why u lookin at me man, i didn't catch them, i merely bought them, the dealers where the ones responsible. Mrrreell S2 it is kind of a sad reality that comes with what good people like him do. They keep saving these dogs and then find them homes. Sadly he has probably rescued several blossoms. By finding her a loving forever home that gives him the ability to take in another dog and readjust them to people. In a normal dog shelter they won’t get that same healing

He can't keep every dog. She'll be okay now that she has overcome her fears - dogs recover from trauma better than humans do. We have therapy for years, it took only 3 months for her.
