Unfortunately someone didn't do their research with Belgian Malinois and got this dog, treated her badly, and dumped her at the shelter probably saying "she's too much, we can't handle her". A high energy and extremely intelligent dog all ripped away from her owners and sitting behind a chain link door in a tiny room with no one around to show her affection and approval. She just wants to be loved. No wonder she acted out. Thank you for taking the time with her. It only took a little time for her to trust humans again.

How this Belgian got to the point of fear aggression is mind boggling. they are one of the most loyal fearless protectors and friends of humans, Not hard to see why many professional forces uses the breed in law enforcement and military. They are also very intelligent. Reasoning the way her barriers was broken down just by the simple act of love, something she craved for. Thank you for including us in her journey to her happy ever after.

Looks like both genetic and environment. Could be a very bad environment coupled with the fact that the breeders could be breeding dogs who are more skittish and snappy. And together, you get a dog like this.

It's insanely hard to let go. My hubs still talks about a foster we had over 3 years ago named Jethro. Literally brought him up again 2 days ago. I feel bad for parting him from that animal because it's now obvious to me how much he truly loved him...but it opened us to take more fosters so ultimately it was the best decision. Not true, some dogs are bred for aggression. When I was younger I got a pitbull pup and he was extremely aggressive toward other dogs on my street, even as a puppy and was not a dog to be around children even as a puppy.
@Bunxana

@@barbr2170those types of dogs need to be socialized. If you never socialized the dog that could be the reason it was so aggressive towards other dogs. You know it never occurred to me that women like this could help so many dogs by helping them get adopted. Very inspiring.

I've been around pitties for a long time and have yet to find an aggressive one. It's how they are raised. If you raise one with love, they love you back. My neighbor used to have one that we nick named Houdini because he was an escape artist. One time he got out of his yard without his owner noticing and I was coming home from school. I saw Houdini wandering around and my friends said to not go near it its a pit bull. I showed them, I got down to a knee and called him over and he let me pet him and rub his belly, my friends were astounded. I took him back home to his house and my neighbor was happy it ended that way and not animal control being called for a wandering pitbull.

In fact after my abusive dad died, I moved in with my grandparents (who were and still are the most stable people I know) and I was a terror for years until I turned 18 and something in my brain finally clicked after a couple near death experiences. No one should judge these animals for who they became in these environments. I understand that not everyone has the capabilities to find the true soul of every dog they meet at the kennel, but I wish their fear response to not become a death sentence.

I wish some people would give more dogs a chance and have patience with them when they are going through a difficult time as shown in this story. What may appear as aggression might just be fear or trauma and not necessarily the dog’s personality in every case. ❤

I’m tearing up. She’s a beauty. Who could hurt a dog. They will literally lay down their life to save yours. Many humans won’t do that.

That's wonderful. The young girl has a good soul. The dog wanted so much to be happy, but was so scared to show it. Liked the video.

God doesn't have anything to do with this. He doesn't bless people for healing or adopting dogs. That's not how He's working on earth. Aggressive animals don't mean anything to God. God doesn't look inside animals like people do. He only looks at the behavior of animals.

@@Vaahteranlehti are you referencing this based on the bible? Also I was just blessing the woman in general. Like sending her my best wishes. Does that offend you?
@Vaahteranlehti

@@FatimaCastro-mk1qg Yes, I'm referring to Bible. Wishing God's blessings to someone isn't wrong in general. It just isn't biblical to wish it when the talk is about dogs. You should know that as a believer. Christianity has nothing to do with dogs.

@@FatimaCastro-mk1qg Genesis doesn't say that God would have blessed others than people. Well, it says that He blessed sea animals and birds when He created them but it isn't said for cattle, wild animals and little animals. Animals and people are not equal to God. Animals don't even know that God exists so nothing sacred considers them. No other animal except snake is mentioned in bad light in Bible as many times as dog. In Old Testament dogs and every animal that has paws are filthy. Dog is a parable for filth and greed in Bible. It is said that there were less unclean animals in Noah's Ark than clean animals. A man made dogs and other pets special for themselves. Bible doesn't talk about pets. The most of the Bible parts that talk about animals, mean cattle and working animals.
