@@bend3rbot Very short-tempered as adults - at least towards humans. Have seen many a dumb human kicked or punched unconscious when they did something stupid like try to approach a fully grown kangaroo. Every human that gets hit by them deserved it.

The soft release step in the release back into the wild sounds like a great idea. I always worry about what a disadvantage it is to go from being fed by humans in an enclosure to having to fend for yourself all alone in the wild. Yea - Once you lock eyes (*the window to the soul) with another - vulnerable mammal (*marsupial?🤷‍♂️?) - it is very hard, to not want to check up on their status. Young roos - look so adorable - other commmenters, remarked that similar to chimpanzees - adult roos can be quite territorial and surly. idk~ ? 🤷‍♂️ ? Just glad this little hopper got 'em a little love and attention. God bless you guys.

@@Niko69420 meh...I've had 2 different pneumonia vaccines. I'm not worried. And contrary to popular opinion, koalas CANNOT transmit chlamydia to humans. Completely different strain. It's funny that people still believe that urban legend, though. Almost as funny as the one about drop bears, and the one that they get high on gum leaves.

The people, at the zoos don't know everything and neither do I, but about those three things, I'm absolutely certain. I learnt it from the koala experts at Port MacQuarie, Currumbin and FOK, not to mention a wonderful koala expert who runs a wild koala sanctuary. How's that for creds? 🙂🐨

That's a great comment- did you see the one of someone who said these people are hypocrites for focusing on this joey - and first of all it's a short video anyway- but also saying how apparently they don't care about any other animals like baby calves- I can't even comprehend how someone would say that- no one can do everything, and we don't even know what else they rescue or most likely would care about! anyway, it's so great they did this! I always help injured birds or what I see in a city...eat plant based... I don't live down there but baby joeys are so sweet... they remind me of deer.... for that matter baby cows and horses too...

Exactly right, what they don't see they presume it didn't happen. There were so many groups of volunteers rescuing and caring for specific animals. There was groups who were assigned to domestic pets and animals, all livestock, and the different native species. In most native animal cases there were enough volunteers so each animal that could was treated and rehabilitated by the same person or people to lessen the trauma of being handled by too many people. I've rescued a few joeys from mothers killed on the road and they just melt your heart.

:) I don't know what to say sometimes about some things... That is so great! I remember hearing about vegetables being dropped for the animals ... which now makes me wonder about the Canadian fires...I'm sure they are rescuing too, most Canadians are really nice as well! If you cross the border over there I think everything becomes more green and cleaner !!! ........I always stop to help injured animals where I live, birds mostly,...one I just helped looked at me so sweetly!!! I took pictures!!! My dad loved Australia, I've never been yet, but I love joeys... I've never met one of course, but my rescue cat has a favorite kangaroo toy- and I'm realizing is a bit joey like- and now that we watched these videos I think he decided he wants to be one and my lap is even more coveted as the closest thing to a pouch!!! The smaller ginger tabbies are a lot similar, even expressions. I think tuxedos are more like koalas for some reason...(they like to be carried on your shoulder ... and v. sweet too) It's so sad how they are at risk being wild animals- as they are so sweet- and the mom's are amazing!!! In 2020 i got 3 more pets Cookie 8 month old cat i rescued her October 15 from a dog attack we took her to the vet Milo my sisters boyfriend saved him from a dog dragging him across the street he feed the dog cause the dog was obviously hungry he got taken to the vet too And daisy she was a stray skinny 5 week old kitten and was terrified got taken to the vet too and she gained weight and is healthy and really energetic
