Over feeding is as much animal cruelty as under feeding. Sadly many people see it as showing love, but in the long run they become big, thicc and sick.
@Glum19649 ай бұрын
They do the same with their kids, usually. My roommate in my younger days was the sweetest lady, whose sister and nephew lived just a few streets away. The nephew was at my home quite often. And my roomie would PLY him with sweets. This kid was 9 years old and weighed 205 pounds. He was practically force-fed junk food and fast food, because these two women grew up dirt-poor in the hills near Rogersville, Tennessee. The amazing thing is, he got up to close to 400# before HS Gradiation. But when he moved out of his mom’s house, he began losing weight. I saw him 10,12 years later, and he was a tall, handsome and well built young man. Not sure what the lesson is, but don’t feed your kid junk food every day. Of course a sweet is fine on occasion, as is fast food, but not DAILY!

Us humans have that natural response, but animals are much more resilient than us 😝 They mostly adapt really well because their survival instincts are so strong, but also because unlike humans, they don’t really dwell on what they’re missing out on ☺️ A friend’s cat had a brain tumour that caused him to go blind but luckily, the tumour was easily removed! He’s healthy now, but the blindness was permanent. At first, he was just learning to adjust but unlike humans (who would understandably be upset and overwhelmed at permanently losing their sight so quickly, getting distraught they’ll never see their kids smile again etc), he didn’t have the struggle of all that ☺️ My friend just had to think of different ways to play with him and help him use his hearing skills to navigate instead! He jumps into cardboard boxes, she softly taps or scratches different areas (like a little mouse haha), and he “pounces” 😝💖 He’s a happy boy and other than occasionally running into walls when he has the zoomies, he manages to have a content life with blindness, the same way he did when he could see 💖

Absolutely loving the longer compilations by The Dodo channel, and depicting the wonderful humans that are working tirelessly for the prevention of unnecessary cruelty, abuse and suffering of our beloved, animal kingdom members. And quite possibly, the best part about this entire video was at the very end, upon seeing the level of sheer joy and jubilation by so many of the natives, who are clearly determined to help their indigenous animal species of all kinds, safely make it in an increasingly hostile and rapidly shrinking world, that's relentlessly encroaching upon the natural habitat, and as a direct result, is exposing the animal kingdom to all manner of dangers and difficulties that requires as many good humans as is possible to continue with the miraculous rescues such as we watched in this video. ❤❤❤

Amazing stories!!! Where I used to live at one time there was a raccoon and she was stealing the cat food I was putting out for the stray cats. She got pretty but at least these raccoons now have a place where they can do exercise and they have one another and their weight loss journey is magnificent. And the goose always coming back to the same flower pot and then having babies was so heartwarming. I have never heard a bird do that sound before it sounded like a cat hiss. The cougar was beautiful. I love all animals and the big cats always hold a special place in my heart. And the way that this woman respected the cougar not wanting to really make it a pad and play with it and put clothing on it and make it like a house cat but she respected the fact that this animal could not go back into the wild so she treated it respectfully while taking care of it and that's an important thing. And a big big thank you to all of those people who helped that dolphin. Care comes in all shapes and sizes and comes from old people's all over the world their compassion to save animals whether they have whiskers pause feathers or fins is truly amazing❤❤❤❤

As a veterinary technician I had occasion to work with a pet raccoon named Freddy. He was almost 50 pounds, and of course as a result of his obesity he was also diabetic. Unfortunately he passed away recently as the owner refused all advice to bring his weight down to get him to a healthier body condition and was not very good about managing his diabetes properly either. It was very frustrating and sad to not be able to help the poor guy. Some people just don't understand that over feeding has a drastic, negative impact on the life expectancy of an animal (or person, for that matter!) and use it as a way to show how much they love their pets. In actuality they are slowly killing them instead. It's an issue I deal with every day in my job. Sometimes you have success and get through to the owners, but frequently it just feels like a waste of breath to try and make them understand the damage they are doing to their beloved companions and that over feeding is just as bad as under feeding.
