We rescued a 2 years old female black lab that we were told wouldn't make it. Too hyper, too misbehaved, chews things, cant be trusted around children, bla bla bla. I was told by the person that gave her to us that she would likely fail. Well, that was nine months ago. I used her as a pillow last night like I do every night. She hangs with my 1 and 2 year old granddaughters, 5 year old yellow lab, 9 year old Dachshund, and 5 year old mutt (really, not sure what she is) 24/7. She is very motherly and loving to the children. Never runs away, has never chewed anything but a bennabone, no potty mistakes. My wife and I were talking this morning about how much we love her and how smart, loving, kind and wonderful she is. We are sooooo lucky. We shake our heads every time we talk about the former owner telling us she was an un-trainable dog. Bottom line, sometimes its the owners who fail.

My sweetheart, Mia, was very much like this when I got her at the pound. She had welts and bruises all over and would submissive pee out of fear whenever anyone new or intimidating would approach her, for months, but she became instantly attached to me and my gf, and as she opened up, she became the most loving, joyful dog ever. Friends would regularly say they were gonna steal her away she was just so sweet. I went to adopt a dog after mine died. It was the local pound. Anyway I wanted a dog that I didn’t think would be adopted as there were so many cute puppies and friendly dogs. I kept going back and forth looking at all of them. I had noticed in the beginning that there was a dog that wouldn’t even come to the fence, she was that shy and timid. As an hour or more passed I kept going back to her. The worker had to pick her up and bring her to me. Needless to say I left that day with her and another dog in tow. She’s the BEST dog I’ve ever had! You can steal anything from my house that you want except me! She’ll stand over me when someone comes into my room and growl like hell. So much it scares my friends sometimes. She’s very particular about people but loves her kitties~licking them all the time and they let her! She’s 100 lbs of pure love ❤️. She’s going thru Chemo now at 11 years old~going thru it like a champ! 3 surgeries done but there’s nothing that I wouldn’t do for her. 🙏 ❤️💯😍

He’s able to give his dogs individualized attn and care, and they look great and are super happy. Most ppl couldn’t do what he does and be responsible. What a lovely human being he is. Rescuing and caring and rehoming dogs that are in such need of help. The world needs more people like him.

@@watchtellyinuk if you can't see that those dogs are happy and healthy and given everything they need, then there's something wrong with your eyesight. Those dogs are a whole lot happier than they'd be sitting in a cage in a shelter until they're euthanized. There is no shortage of dogs in shelters or running wild that can be adopted.
