my grandmother calls the rice and lentils dish Majadra, it's an Iraq originated dish, and it's really lovely. she used to make this every Sunday when we got back from school (in Israel we study and work sunday-friday). this entire meal prep is food I grew up on. it's really Israeli food, well, it's all food from many countries, but israel was built by people from all over the world and each brought food from their country.. it's really beautiful in my eyes, the merging of all those different people based on belief..

I love eggplant and always love finding new ways to cook it. no on in my family knew how to make eggplant so I didn't grow up eating it but then my in-laws introduced me to it and was amazed by what I was missing. A local resterant makes pork and eggplant sir fry in some sort of spicy soy based sauce it's so good but I almost wish they made it without the pork to have more eggplant I'm defiantly going to have to try that dip.

Dear Sara, I love your videos. especially the meal preps :) Your dip sounds interesting, I will definitely try it! In eastern Europe we have a sandwich spread made from eggplant.
