I purchased those cornerbeads from homedepot one time and didn't look before installation - was assuming that sides are the same and so some of them ended up out of square. I learned quickly after that. Thank you for sharing. I have learned and continue learning from you a lot. Great stuff!

What about using "No Coat Flexible Corner"? I think the widest it comes in is the Ultraflex 450, which is 4.5 inches, which gives 2.25 inches on each side. It's about a buck a foot from a 100 foot roll, but that's just a bit more $$ than the metal/paper super-wide. One nice thing is there is very little waste. If your ceilings are 9 foot, you cut a 9 foot piece, you don't throw out a 1 foot piece on every outside corner. You can also eliminate butt joint ends on soffits that run over 10 feet long.

That's what I should of done but I didn't know how badly they're corner bead sucked until it was to late.

Im a very experienced Taper, a perfectionist, I don't watch all your videos, but I've flowed you for years. You're a great Taper I've witnessed how much you have grown as a KZbinr, well deserved Sir. I never understood why you use this kind of cornerbead at all!!!! I can't understand why this job would be a problem to you when you can use just regular metal corner bead and staple it to the walls or use a clinch on and faber tape it if you have metal studs. Any way just my dumb apinion. Take care ⚒️

I got away from metal bead years ago because of all the call backs from the cracked bead. No call backs ever in years.

I worked for a union carpentry company and we had our own tapers too. Anytime a different company saw our metal bead they all said the same thing… “You guys are the only company I see that STILL uses metal bead.” Paper faced is superior. Like Doc says, no call backs
