Oh man, the Michael Jackson scene. Thats a whole story. So over the years, there were several Devil May Cry games that came out, but at some point, a different western studio wanted to make a reboot, complete with a new, "edgier" version of Dante. Fans weren’t very impressed, and the guy in charge of the reboot lashed out, saying the original Dante sucked and looked like a "gay cowboy." So when this game finally came out, Dante would get his hands on this new weapon/hat and randomly breaks out into dance. Basically, it's one nice big middle finger to that guy saying, "Yeah? So what?" It's hilarious, comes out of nowhere, and people love it.

To be fair, DMC5 even integrated plenty of aspects from the reboot as well, up to and including giving Nero the reboot-Dante's haircut. They're making fun of it, but they recognized that even though it was a comically bad DMC, it was still a solid game overall.

What he means by "Instantly wins the game" is that Royal guard can block ANY attack... I'm being serious... If its an attack by a enemy its blockable. Sometimes you need DT to block it but its still blockable

Technically, any block that isn't time well uses DT, aka Devil Trigger. It's basically parrying from a Souls game but it builds up a bar.

Ok so here are somethings I wanna say V and Urine represents the two sides of Vergil; V represents his humanity and Urine represents his Devil side (don’t forget that Dante, Vergil, and Nero are half demons) Vergil is the only one who let his demon side to take over so he get more power (motivation) The chair is mod but it became a widespread meme that influence a lot of stuff (like the future game Wuthering Waves has the same chair with a sword on the side and you can get a achievement from it I think it’s called motivation) Vergil had a one night stand with a woman (who he completely forgot about) and Nero was born. Also it’s canon that Vergil got robbed after blacking out from alcohol

On the question of whether DMC is a good way to train for something like Dark Souls, the answer is no. Fundamentally the games are at very different ends of the spectrum. DMC is incredibly fast paced and encourages hyper aggression with small amounts of dodging weaved in to keep you combo as high as possible. It's better practice for something like Bayonetta which is essentially just DMC with some small gameplay tweaks. Dark Souls is very slow and methodic. It wants you to play slow and carefully while imprinting all attack patterns into your head so you know the one moment you can strike before rinsing and repeating.

Devil May Cry's difficulty really depends on the mode you play on. Comparing the standard difficulty to some of the NG+ difficulties is like comparing animal crossing to darksouls. I wouldn't say DMC5 is "easy" as much as it is "customizable"

So, like i said at last time, it's a bit complicated. Dante and Vergil are half-demon brothers, but where Dante decided to use his powers to save people, Vergil grew obsessed with power and only ever wanted to prove himself stronger than Dante. In a previous game, Dante defeated Vergil so badly that he started falling apart. In the time since then, Nero managed to get his hands on Vergil's sword, which is very powerful, and it became Nero's arm for reasons. Vergil gets it back and uses it to separate his human half from his demon half. The demon half became Urizen, the big demon king you fight throughout the game. The human half became V, who grew a conscious and also inherited whatever sickness that was killing Vergil. Urizen uses the Yamato to grow a giant demonic tree that uses metric fuckloads of human blood to grow a special fruit that grants massive power to whatever demon eats it. But even then Urizen is not strong enough to defeat Dante. When you finally defeat Urizen, V makes a last request to finish him off, but instead uses the opportunity to fuze back with Urizen, becoming Vergil again. Now, no longer dying and stronger than ever, Vergil challenges Dante in a final battle. Nero, having just learned Vergil is his dad, decides to stop the two from killing each other, and also lets off some steam and daddy issues by beating the shit out of Vergil. Vergil, now with a conscious thanks to V, decides to help Dante destroy the demon tree to save humanity. And that's it. If you want more, you'll probably have to play the game yourself. As for difficulty, i would say this game is a bit more complex combat-wise than Dark Souls, but not as difficult. If you want to get better at Dark Souls, you'd have to actually play it. Through trial, error, and practice, there's not a single enemy in that game that can't be beaten. The game makes you better at everything.

Urizen was definitely strong enough to beat Dante. Hell, he beat him so badly that the poor guy was left comatose for a little over a month. That defeat is the entire reason DMC5 exists as it does, because Dante had to play catch-up like back in DMC3.

The best way to explain difficulty for this. Dark souls is hard because you can accidentally walk to an end game area in the first 40 minutes and technically beat it if you have the patience and timing. And if you’re struggling, level up; there is no other difficulty adjustment. But you also only have like 6 things you can do in the entire game: attack, block, roll, parry, magic, or give up. DMC is hard because it actually requires you to fucking do things. If your hand is not accustomed to being shaped like a crab and pressing six buttons a second while your eyes detect what of the 7,600,000 particles on the screen are sparks from your sword vs an enemy attack, you will die a lot. However there is difficulty settings so it can be made a little more manageable.

Royale Guard is Dante's defense style, if you manage to block the attack in time (not to early), you will completely absorb the damage and channel it to your devil trigger energy (also your energy of the style it self). When the style is fully charged and you attack with this style, the enemy will receive all the damage that you absorb, if you attack before the enemy's attack touch you, you will do a counter and the enemy have to receive all the damage that you absorb but more damage You still can block early but you will lose Devil Trigger energy and if the enemy's attack was too strong, your defend will be break and you lose all Devil Trigger's energy Remember one thing, or maybe you should play Devil May Cry because i'm not going to spoil anything here

This series is older than Dark Souls and plays differently. It isn't a souls-like it is more a spectacle fighter. Unless it is a boss you will rarely be fighting/hitting more than 1 enemy and your goal is to style on them the best you can. Not just trying to survive but to show off.

To be fair im sure if you got good enough at DMC, the hand eye coordination of styling on enemies and avoiding getting hit could theoretically help in souls like games. But primarily its just going to help you play other character action games better. Besides you should be fine anyway just playing DMC on normal mode.

Finally, also Dmc1 3 4 and 5 are hard to be good at. 2 is mind numbingly easy compared to the others. The games aren't hard, they are hard to be good, cause its the most complex combat system known to man, it was best action game of 2019 for a reason. Its like if dark souls had Tekken combos but they're harder and last multiple minutes. Also MJ Dante was real, he left the dance completely unedited, btw the whole point about them fighting at the top was that Vergil's true goal is to prove he is better Dante, so if he fights a weak Dante, he won't prove he is the strongest
