I’m a meat eater that wants to incorporate more meat-alternatives into my diet for moral reasons. The thing is, I’m also neurodivergent and texture can be a bit difficult at times. Chicken is one of my safe foods so I was a bit reluctant about trying any alternatives for it but then I found your channel!! I love how you approach sharing your vegan recipes without any negativity or judgement, and how you’re honest by saying “chicken-like flavor” lmao! Also, showing the texture of several bites instead of one helped me a lot with getting an idea of what the texture will be when i make this myself. It makes me feel a lot more secure in my exploration to consume less animal products (meat specifically atm) because I feel a bit of guilt for not cutting them out of my diet all at once. Keep doing what you’re doing

@@BrickWxrld Incorrect. Some types, of neurodivergence, including severity of that neurodivergence is indeed a disability and is classified under the law as such. My ADHD is in fact so severe I am on disability because I fit the stipulations, they may be strict, but I fit them and am not the only one. While not all presentations of neurodivergence fit into the criterion required to be within the realm of being a disability, to say "neurodivergence isn't a disability" in a such blanketed statement is incorrect.

Can the 'chicken ' filets be frozen after breading & dredging? I'm hoping to fill my freezer with these!
@TheeBurgerDude Жыл бұрын
I'm not sure, but I think so! I know with panko it should work, but not I'm not sure about a flour dredge. I once did a test where I dredged and refrigerated them, and the breading when fried was much more dense and less crunchy over all. So I'd be worried that freezing might do that too. I need to experiment!

My fillets felt too mushy, I boiled them because I don’t have a steamer. My marinade wasn’t as thick as yours and i followed that to a T. I prepared them today to fry tomorrow and I just hope other things don’t go bad :/
@TheeBurgerDude Жыл бұрын
Hi, sorry you had issues with the recipe. Boiling will give you vastly different texture, in fact boiling can make it spongey. Simmering is a better option in my experience. As for the marinade, different kinds of plant milks will get thicker than others. You can add flour to it to thicken it as well.
