Thank you! I just switched to v2 yesterday and I use the GreenDaze Snare in many of my kits....glad there is a fix. I found a fix in a different way by switching the transient fade to "Fade 4". it cleaned up the wild buzz on a full strike rim shot. I am going try your fix instead.

Hey Luke, I've spent the last few days going through your videos and I purchase a few of your kits for the TD-17 which I absolutely love. I did the V2 update on this module and I'm still sifting through the 20 new Roland lits deleting the ones that don't fit my style. Wondering if you will be diving into the TD-17 V2 update highlighting some of the changes that have been made.? Your video content is by far the best I've found on this module and I appreciate the time you put into your videos!

Hey! Thanks for your support with the purchase, I'm glad you're enjoying the kits and the channel. I'm hoping to, yes. Unfortunately the timing of the updates wasn't ideal for me - I was in the middle of a big studio session when they launched, then I found out about the kit problems with the TD-27 update (TD-17 is seemingly unaffected), then I had time booked off for Christmas. Fingers crossed I can put something out in the New Year that's still relevant enough for people to enjoy!

Thank you! I've not heard of any issues so far on the new TD-17 update. These two parameters haven't been changed on the TD-17 so I don't think the same kind of issues will happen. I'm yet to update my own module so haven't confirmed yet but will do as soon as I am able.

Hello! I've purchased all the drum bundles, LOVE them. I have yet to update td27 software to 2.0 so we'll see how that goes BUT I added a couple CV8 Crashes to my VAD506 and I'm struggling to get the volume of those two trigger cymbals to match the custom kits, they are all too low in volume. Do I need to lower the overall volume of kit and increase those separately to fix? Not sure best approach so I can add a china or splash to these kits. Thanks!
@TheeDrumWorkshop
@TheeDrumWorkshop Жыл бұрын
Hey! Thank you for your support with the purchase, it's much appreciated! I'm glad you're enjoying the kits. To be honest, this sounds like a trigger settings issue, not a volume one. All of the Crash and Aux instruments on my kits are already configured with matching volumes, so there shouldn't be anything wildly out of balance. Using the volume to compensate for incorrect triggering won't give very good results and you would have to do that on every kit preset you use which would be a pretty mammoth task! So first I would check that the trigger type is correct for each of the pads you've added. You can check this under SYSTEM > Trigger > Param then hit the pad and check whether it's set to CY-8. If it isn't, it will need changing to that. If it is already set to the right trigger preset (or you're still finding it too quiet after swapping it) then you might need to change the sensitivity. You can watch the trigger graph on this menu as you hit the trigger and see how high up the graph your hits go - if they're not getting near the top when you hit quite hard then you will need to increase the sensitivity. If your hits are triggering the higher velocities then that should then translate to the correct volume of sample being triggered. If you find that hitting the cymbal bow is triggering a hard hit but hitting the edge isn't, you can increase the "Rim Gain" parameter to balance it back out. I hope that helps! If you don't find that this fixes the problem, drop me an email through the address on the contact page of my channel or through the store and I'll do what I can to help.

Hi Luke! And about the TD-17 module update version 2, there´s any issue with your sound packs and the new firmware?
@TheeDrumWorkshop
@TheeDrumWorkshop Жыл бұрын
As far as I'm aware, no! The settings that affected the TD-27 kits were unchanged/don't exist on the TD-17 and I've not had anyone contact me about the problems. I have to admit, between the TD-27 issues and Christmas, I've not been able to verify every kit yet but I'm pretty certain the TD-17 escaped the problems.

@TheeDrumWorkshop

I've not heard anything from any customers about the kits for the TD-17 having any issues. The layering functionality hasn't changed on the TD-17 update and there are no transient settings on it either so I don't believe the same problems will occur. Unfortunately due to this TD-27 problem, I've not had the chance to thoroughly check out my 17 kits but I will do as soon as I'm able. I feel like I would have heard by now.

Hi Luke after the update I found that there isn't enough user memory to upload all the kits I got from you! What should I do? Thanks a million.
@TheeDrumWorkshop
@TheeDrumWorkshop Жыл бұрын
Hi Cecilio! I just replied to your email but here is the body of that email for reference or for anyone else who sees this! - "Yes, unfortunately the extra user samples that were added on the new update take up quite a bit of the sample memory. You have a couple of options from here. If you aren't using any of the new stock kits or user samples, you could delete these from the User Sample memory to make more space for my kits. If you do want to use some of the new kits/samples, you could instead create a backup of your module how it currently is (from the System > SD Card > Save menu). After this, you could go to the User Sample memory and either manually delete the samples labelled eDW_ or you could use the "Delete All" option to remove all of the samples currently on the module. Then you could install the rest of the kits that wouldn't fit, overwriting any kit slots that were installed previously. Then you can save this as a new backup and swap between these backups whenever you want to use the other kits. The reason you could delete everything from the sample memory in the second example is because you would already have all of the stock kits/samples stored on the first backup. Alternatively, you could configure these however you wanted - you could have a backup that contains your settings and just the stock kits and one that has only my kits, for example. It becomes quite flexible if you're happy to load different backups when needed."
