That was actually my Father…just found out recently. Apparently he wrote my mother a letter when he was stationed over in West Germany saying that he was on the Ed Sullivan Show, and that Connie Francis sang to him.

This was taped at a US base in West Germany during the height of the cold war. Connie traveled all the way to entertain all of these wonderful US servicemen who kept the Russians from invading the west. What a wonderful gift she gave them to sing live for them. G-D bless her.

Perfect one of the greatest female singers of the 50's and the 60's this song 🎵 came out in 1961 and I was 3 years old and today is 25th of January 2023 and I'm 65 years old and I am still listening 🎶 to 🎶 this song and I'm still loving the song and Connie Francis and I'll still be listening to this when I pass some time ⏲ in the future

An incredible performance !!! There always are going to be those who will never forget Connie Francis... Our Outstanding troops there in Germany, kept the Russians from invading our friends to their West... Later, during the Reagan administration , the wall was torn down seperating East & West Europe, To enable those people to re-unite with each other again!!! Our entertainers, gave our Brave troops some inspiration , of WHY they were serving there... And Connie Francis was definitely among the very best of them...

I was lucky enough to meet Miss Frances several years ago and have my picture taken with her. Years ago we saw her at the Sunrise musical theater in Fort Lauderdale and when she sang "Mama" to her mother in the front row the audience of about 10,000 went completely cuckoo at the end. She is a treasure.

Yes!!! And in 1972 I became the best of friends with a guy from Ft Lauderdale when I was stationed in Germany...he invited me down in 1979 and I've lived in Florida ever since...poornguy..he's had a number of strokes and is in assisted living...

Pure real talent! Style, class and glamour! Really singing live. What happened to real talent? She has charisma over 60 years later! She sings from the heart.
