I'm so happy for you that you got to experience Malmö during the Malmoe festival! That's probably when Malmö is at it's best! I'm born ('65) and raised in Malmö! When I grew up in Malmö i found Malmö to be a really boring small industrial town! I unfairly compared Malmoe to Copenhagen, Berlin - etc! But as the years passed, both the heavy industries like the shipwharf and the textile industries moved out of Malmoe and Malmoe had to "reinvent itself"! And did so very well! I have gone from - "I can't wait to move away" to - "I'm a proud local patriot and I love Malmoe!" I strongly doubt that there is another city in Scandinavia that has as much culture, restaurants and cafes Per Capita! Today I cannot see myself moving to any larger city in Sweden, I'm even doubtful if I can move to Copenhagen? Simply put - Malmö is fantastic! It is the underappreciated hidden gem of Scandinavia! Malmö is also unusually cheap - compared to the rest of Sweden and indeed Scandinavia! Unless you go to "Saluhallen" - where you had noodles! Compared to the rest of Malmö! Saluhallen is eye-wateringly expensive! At my favorite part of Malmoe - Möllevångstorget aka Möllan - You can easily find a excellent meal for a third of what you pay at Saluhallen! Möllan, is only a few blocks away from Folkets Park! Also you missed the beach! Close to Lilla-torg = the little square, where you went to Form Design Centre! You have one of Malmös loveliest parks and a short walk through the park and beyond - you have the Copacabana beach of Malmö - Ribersborgs strand aka Ribban! Visit Malmö! Stay for at least a week!

Thank you, Bod for your comment! I lived in Malmoe for two years and I miss it so much! Mollan is the best and I remember good times with friends and cheap beer or burgers! You explained the missed spots perfectly!

Yeah, great city if you like criminality, bombings, theft. Not to mention horrible politicians that keep wasting peoples tax money. Oh and it's worth mentioning that Malmö is actually running at a loss, the rest of us in Sweden has to give money to Malmö for it to keep going. Hmm, I wonder why that is... (except bad politicians of course) one can just add 1 and 1 and get the answer. So you might somehow like Malmö, but most sane people would not.
@Banana-sb1hi3 жыл бұрын
@@OneSpread It is very unsafe compared to old swedish standards but that still depends a lot on what area and what time of day. It is more dangerous if you are white and young and out numbered.

Next time you are in Sweden you have to come to Karlskrona. A city built on islands and it one of the most sunny places in Sweden. It also has a interesting history. It was built 1680 as a marine base. An architect drew the city and then it was built. Its a lovely summertown. I can give you a guided tour if you want, or at least show you som hot spots.

Was that fusion Japanese ramen? Or south east Asian noodles? Looked like fusion food. Sweden what cuisine are they famous for? Interesting don't know much about sweden, good video. 🙂
@jontiswe5 жыл бұрын
Well, probably they made an own version of Asian food, think he said tantanmen which is not Japanese but I think Chinese or something? But eating for example Asian food in Europe or somewhere is not going to be 100% authentic anywhere. Can still be delicious of course, and it does look really good here, but it's probably not really close to authentic. If I eat sushi here in Sweden it's not the same as the one in Japan, where I also studied three years, so yeah. To get authentic Chinese food you need to go to China/Hong Kong/Taiwan etc., and to get authentic Japanese you need to go to Japan. Sometimes it might be close to the authentic food abroad if it's an actual person from that country who makes it, but more often than not it's made to suit the locals' taste buds, unfortunately.
