In NZ, go to Milford Sound on the south island. Most beautiful scenery I have ever seen. In Te Anau on the way there (or back) you can take a boat trip over the lake to a glow worm cave.

Yeah I second Milford. I live in the south island so I'm biased but it is lovely. It's a good time of year to visit as the weather is more settled. Check out Christchurch too!

My wife and I spent a month in Italy staying in apartments in Rome, Tuscany and the Amalfi Coast. I highly recommend staying near the village of Montacino in Tuscany. It’s quite small but centrally located for day trips in the car to some incredible locations like Orvieto, Sienna, Assisi, and a must see, Cività di Bagnoregio. The town of Buonconvento is only a couple miles from Montacino and has a train station which takes about 2-4 hours to reach Florence. As to the coast, Atrani, just outside Amalfi is a quiet corner of the Italian coast and along with using the local bus to head in one direction to Naples and in another to Serrento, there’s a FANTASTIC trail you can walk from Atrani right up the side of the hill to Ravello, walking through vineyards and lemon groves, with panaromic views of the coast to feast on every time you stop to catch your breath.

For Italy, a hidden gem is the town of Ravenna. It was the capital of the Ostrogothic Roman Empire and has several churches full of 5th century art that wasn't destroyed during the iconoclast movement. And Dante is buried there. Of course Venice. Padua and the Scrovegni Chapel with Giotto's murals. You really can't go wrong in Italy.

For Japan I definitely recommend hiking Mt. Fuji. You're dropped off part ray up then hike up. They have little houses on the way for food, drink and yes you can get oxygen cans to help. You sleep in one of them for a few hours then hike up at around 3am to arrive at top at sunrise. You dont need to be a mountain climber to do it. You'll love it!! Great experience, fun way to meet people and the views are amazing

You must go to Puglia in Italy. The most beautiful and most affordable part of Italy. I am Italian so I can confirm that. In Puglia you can visit Trani with its Medieval Cathedral on the sea, Alberobello and its Trulli, Polignano a Mare and finally Lecce, called the Florence of the South. Enjoy!

Your rather noisy flight made me laugh as I just flew east coast to SFO with four crying babies and four barking dogs. Now they were not barking the whole flight but a toddler was watching an animated kids video on an iPad without headphones believe isle of dogs and every time a dog barked in the video the onboard dogs also barked....hilarious! Love your videos! You both do an excellent job describing your realtime experiences. Hope you get a chance to spend a week or two in Kauai, it's my favorite HI island.

In Sydney, beyond the classic Bondi Beach visit I'd recommend doing the Spit to Manly walk too. Explore Newtown and surrounding neighbourhoods for cafes/breweries. If you head out to the Blue Mountains avoid Katoomba and head to Blackheath for hikes. Tasmania is excellent too, Cradle Mountain day hike is great as is Wineglass Bay in Freycinet National Park Melbourne is great for coffee/cafes - I like the Fitzroy area Head north of Cairns for rainforests, waterfalls etc

On of my wife and I’s favorite cities we’ve visited is Lucca, Italy. We’ve visited there about 4 times in the last 8 years. It is famous for its intact Renaissance-era city walls. It is also home to the opera composer Puccini. They have a daily concert with his music performed by locals which is a cant miss.

Agreed! A bit touristy but still well worth a visit. If you want a smaller more chill hill town you can try Monteriggioni. And in general driving in that area of Tuscany is awesome. If you want a bit more mountains you can drive up in the mountains north of lucca and go to Ponte della Maddalena, also called the devils bridge. Have a great 2019 guys!

In Italy I can HIGHLY recommend Riva del Garda at the north of Lake Garda. It's not only incredibly beautiful and you can get boats that criss-cross the lake to visit the various towns around the lake (which is 32 miles long!) but it's very close to the amazing scenery of the dolomites. It's also close to Verona, which is stunning.

Hello Adventurers! I found your channel through Ashley and Josh sometime last year and have been enjoying catching up on your travels. My wife and I spent a few weeks in Italy last year and I can't recommend it enough. It's perhaps not the cheapest destination, but there's a reason so many people love it. We spent the majority of our time exploring Sicily. My personal favorites were Ortegia Island (adjacent to Siracusa) and Cefalu. Such adorable small towns with amazing food and incredible people. Obviously we enjoyed the bigger cities, too, but there's something so magical about the tiny towns. So much history, and culture, and LIFE. Y'know? Safe travels!

Hello from New Zealand 👋. So glad that you will be visiting my beautiful country! The South Island is a must, with Queenstown, Milford sound ect. I’m in the north island and I’d suggest seeing the coromandel coast and especially visiting cathedral cove. We have so many beautiful nature walks here in NZ and all round amazing scenery. Whangamata has beautiful beaches, as well as the bay of Plenty, especially Mount Maunganui. Rotorua is a great place to go if you want the cultural experience with our Māori culture. Can be a bit pricey in terms of catering to tourist’s (tourist prices), but it will probably be the closest you’ll see of the culture as you need to be officially welcomed onto a marae to visit one. If you have any questions I’m happy to help you as best as I can. Can’t wait to see what you guys get up to.

You should go to Viterbo, Italy!!! It is about 1.5 hours from Rome but it is pure Italian culture without an touristy bits! There is so much history here, especially with the wall surrounding the inner part of the city! Civita di Bagnoregio is also near by, which is the “Town that is dying” (it’s eroding away).

For Italy I would recommend Genoa. Yes, I know it is a city but it isn't anywhere near as busy as Rome, Venice or Florence. It is of course the capital of Liguria which is the region of Italy where the best pesto comes from. From there you can catch the train to Cinque Terre. They are five beautiful towns fairly close together right on the coast. They are very popular though.

My suggestion, when you go to Italy go to Verona. It's great for a short visit.

Italy: Definitely Pompei and Naples. They have a crazy subway there that's like 5-7 escalators deep, because if they dig too shallow they keep hitting ancient artifacts. And then since you guys like coffee a lot, maybe swing by the factories of La Marzocco, Nuova Simonelli, and La Cimbali, depending on your route. Looking forward to Italy!! (Pisa was pretty okay. It's kind of a singular trip where you go in and out by regional train just to see the leaning tower and tourists doing "the pose".) Philippines: I don't know if you guys are going back here again, but one place that vloggers tend to miss because of the popularity of Palawan, Bohol, and Boracay, is ~*Anilao, Batangas~*. It's been recognized as the "center of the center of marine biodiversity". Just one look with your snorkel and it's like Aquaman's kingdom. You can even get accompanied by SCUBA below. It's just 5 hours south of the Metro, and the SLEX is a stone's throw should you decide to head straight coming from the international airport. :)

Italy! I will be there this summer! I have been to Sicily and it is beautiful! We went to Catania, Taormina and Palermo, it is very inexpensive to travel around there. A couple of my favorite places were the Alcantara Gorge outside of Taormina Sicily. In Palermo we went to the Capuchin Catacombs, there is a child, Rosalia Lombardo, who passed away in the early 1900's and her body is almost perfectly preserved (until National Geographic had to open her case). Chiesa del Gesu is also in Palermo and is probably one of my favorite churches, it is very unassuming from the outside but the inside is beautiful. Go to the Cape Gallo Reserve area for some nice little coves to swim in. Cefalu is also very close to Palermo for a day trip. Try the pasta alla norma if you go to Sicily, it is a sicilian dish you will not really find in other parts of Italy. This summer we are probably going to go to the island of Sardinia and travel down the Amalfi Coast. We are also going to try and visit some rural towns in Tuscany! So I will be very interested to see your Italy videos so I can get some ideas!... Japan, I want to go so much, but I am trying to hold out until I can travel in the spring time!

Aloha from my island! Born and bred mainland-er from Tahoe, CA but have lived the past 9 years on the Big Island (and over 30 trips to visit Hawaii by the time I was 13...lots of family friends). That map you showed at 7:46 showed my town of Pahoa. and at one point my home was about 5 miles from the lava flow...we're okay though! Nice to see the Big Island featured on a travel vlog, as we're often overlooked for Oahu, Maui, and Kauai! I also lived in New Zealand for a semester during school, if you are going to the North Island you must try to see the Bay of Islands! Happy travels!

@@Theendlessadventure If you make it back to the Big Island and come to Hilo, check out either the restaurant Hilo Bay Cafe (great views and good food, maybe a little $$) or Conscious Culture Cafe (less spectacular views but a bit more affordable and some super healthy options.) Hey folks, long time watcher here - cool to hear you’re coming to New Zealand! As you’re likely to go to Auckland where I live, I can tell you: burgers are where it’s at. You’re gonna want to go to a place called Tiger Burger in Grey Lynn (they have the best Korean chicken burger around). Burger Burger and Better Burger are also great. If you go down to the lower South Island, look out for “cheeserolls”, aka Southland sushi (they’ll be in every cafe in Dunedin, and if you don’t slather butter on them it’s a crime). Happy planning!

May I suggest you to visit Trieste in Italy? It used to be the sole harbour of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and second only to Vienna as a metropolis. Now it's a lovely spot between Slovenia and Venice, with a touch of Austria which makes it a very peculiar city to check out.
