So, there'd be a combination of water-based aether not being used in the war, the influence of one of the Shards being pushed towards water adding even more to that, and then an Event that breaks that barrier and causes that element to literally flood into the planet. So there'd have to be a single event that decisively starts the Calamity.

The proto-ultima escaped from Azys Lla, you have the special boss fate about it with pro-ultima flying around the zone. It has been a special fight playable during a Fan fest and later added to Dun Scaith, replacing a wave of trash mob, also it only appears if someone has the proto-ultima weekly quest

As someone who absolutely loves Lore but whos brain just can't put things together while doing/ reading quests, I am SO thankful for you guys explaining all of this and bringing in your own theories every now and then, which are really interesting. Pleas keep doing what you're doing! I am absolutely enjoying all these videos 🧡

Linking in with the patron deity being Rhalgar idea let's not forget Shatotto's signature weapon is the Stardust Rod that she made from a fallen meteor.

I like to think that Rhalgr saved the followers of Nophica and Nald Thal considering that their gods probably abandoned them for abusing their gifts. Rhalgr being the god of destruction took interest in them for nearly destroying the world and led them out of Mhach and Amdapor into Gyr Abania. I wonder who the Red Mages worship?

On the topic of Mhach's Hyur population, for some time I've been of the mind that they likely bore a closer resemblance to their Highlander descendants rather than the typical Midlander. If you took the face on the statues at 13:11 (as well as other points in the video) and put it on a player model, I'd have little trouble placing them as a Highlander. While this next point is a bit less concrete, High Voidmage Cessair's surname, Blackwind, does seem in line with Highlander surnames like Blackstone, Blackburn, Blackthorne, and Redsteele.

this was so awesome, i love mhach and the void ark raids so learning more about them had me totally engrossed! in reference to the comments about the pronunciation of Cait Sith, "cat shee" *is* the correct way to say it, "síth" (or "sidhe") is the same as the latter half of the word "banshee" in gaelic, so her name is pronounced the same way! i thought it might be useful to know should she come up again (and i hope she does!)

My personal theory is that our good friend Emet-Selch was behind Mhach given his entire thing, even as said by Elidibus was his penchant for nation building. It does track considered for the most part he's a Black Mage and would have knowledge of the Void for the Void mages to utilize.

As for the ozma stuff, seems like a camera and a black room. The pyramid is like a 4 sided pixel maybe. That's what I'd do with a 3D printing camera. Have a front, back, left and right side view of a single object in one big amphitheater

You left something out in your discussion of Belah'dia, namely that it was actually founded on the ruins of an even older civilization that already had the temple of Azeyma located there.
@TheEorzeanArchives2 жыл бұрын
We plan to give belah dia and sil dih their own Lore Talk, this was more focused on mhach then an all encompassing history and on top of this we know little of who those peoples might be beyond the suggestion that the ruins of Qarn predate the sixth astral era. Thanks for the video guys! Regarding Proto-Ultima I love the theories, but yeah sadly I'd also go that it's one of the few things in game with no lore reason, given he wasn't part of the raid at release. I can barely remember the original succubus encounter anymore it's been so long X3
@TheObiKitty2 жыл бұрын
From what I remember, Proto-Ultima was active in Azys Lla (Prey Online FATE) before detecting the massive aetherial disturbances in Dun Scaith. Its programming interpreted that as eikon activity and so it flew there but instead ran into the adventurers doing the raid.

a lot of really interesting stuff thats got my mind running. a few things I fully admit I could be wrong on but my understanding was that the city states having patron deities was something unique to this era. Also that Mi'qote were originally from Meracedea?

Regarding Ozma: Have you ever done Eureka? I'm not 100%, but as I recall, they more or less say what it is/was. Though maybe I'm misunderstanding what you guys are saying there about being uncertain its origins... The big SPOILERS version... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... Eureka is a Primal with a somewhat peculiar capability, which is to create constructs. I'm not sure I 100% remember correctly, but basically Ozma is (the greatest?) of those constructs. Eureka is a Primal that creates living weapons (hence the Baldession ARSENAL). Again, it's been a bit so I may be misremembering, but I think the Allegans gained control of it and used it to generate weapons, one of which was Ozma. Hence the legends of some magical arsenal under the Crystal Tower named Eureka. ...so you're technically right in that "50/50 chance if you say Allegans you're right". :)

mhach is the BEST city down! dont @ me! also people dont abandon your channel outta nowhere like ethys asher did. i am still salty about it! 54:24 if you dont know where a mob comes from just say so. Proto Ultima comes from the FATE Prey Online in Azys Lla which only happens during the blood red weather. It escaped Azys Lla then flees. It also appeared as a special trial in a Fan Fest a couple years back scaled for 27 man party. Where is is found in Dun Scaith a succubus boss was there then some Foobars (placeholder) then they moved Proto Ultima there. In universe its explained that it sensed aetheric anomalies at surmised it was primals so it went there to absorb em but found voidsent instead.

This Voidsent talk really makes me curious about Zenos Voidsent. It's nothing like other Avatars and if you have finished Endwalker, According to the ending we got, what would happen between Zenos and his Voidsent? To have a voidsent, you must make a pact of some kind, correct? I think for reapers at least, is the case. There's so much I don't understand about the voidsent. They remind me of sineaters.
@RevanX772 жыл бұрын
It does bear one curious similarity to the other avatars, that it's blind. With Zenos' it has faux-hands covering it's eyes, whereas for the player it simply has no eyes at all. An interesting design choice given it's known that Voidsent are capable of mind-controlling people through making eye contact.

So post 6.3 spoilers here but wow that dungeon! . . . . . So I don’ know if I read this wrong or not but it seems our little reaper village has some history! Our favorite femvoidsent-loving madman was connected to the village! I don’t have the readings in front of me so I forget if he came from the village or had settled down there but I wouldn’t be surprised if we discover that the reapers started from Machi refugees moving to Ilsabard and teaching the magic-less Garleans how to summon forth voidsent especially considering their lack of magic-like perhaps the refugee summoned the first one and subsequent reapers were able to perform future ones! Plus I don’t think Ridorana had any voidsent, just Auracite-based Lucavi so the voide magic had to come from SOMEWHERE and our two best guesses are Machi refugees and Miqo’te refugees from the period when Allag banished and enslaved them and may have left behind knowledge of voidsent summoning for their Garleans to find for themselves

Hmm...kinda confused about the Miqo'te. Where did they originate? They are native to Eorzea and then got exiled by Allag? Then came back through an ice bridge from Ilsabard and then back to Eorzea? Aren't you mixing some things?
@TheEorzeanArchives2 жыл бұрын
What we state is that they originated in Eorzea and went from Eorzea to Ilsabard due to the Allagan empire exiling them from Eorzea. Legacy player here - So, Dun Scaith didn't originally have the proto-Ultima. It had a Succubus boss. SE added the Proto-Ultima to the 24-man and replaced the Succubus because they liked that fight better and said they did that instead of adding a new Extreme fight. Lore explanation is that it was flying around up there and we accidentally happened to find it.

@@TheEorzeanArchivesBut the math doesn’t check out. With 3rd lasting 5000 and 6th lasting 1572, and the time between the Sundering and the Fall of Dalamud being 12000, that leaves us with roughly 5428 years divided mostly between 4 Astral Eras and an unknown amount of time between the Sundering and the calamity of wind. I think it would vary greatly depending on how easy it was for the Unsundered to manipulate things for the co Siri is to be right for an Ardor. How soon after Dalamud that Black Rose caused the now averted 8th calamity is a good example of how quickly some shards were primed. Then again, time flows differently across the shard, so who knows.
