The event that Emelia used as an anchor was the one that took her husband, in which nobody believed there was a monster made of glowing ectoplasm. And in using that event, she summoned the very same monster, only this time she was able to see it. I'm anxious to see how this development plays out in the final part. Thanks for doing what you do, and Merry Christmas!

@@loganlewis1790 This situation is still largely her fault. She blamed her husband's brother and pushed more and more guilt on him to the point he would agree to do anything to even remotely appease her. And he succeeded the impossible. Sure, she and key members were instrumental in its success, but man, the guy pulled it off, yet she despised him still. I know sorrow can make you irrational, but her demand of him was not just irrational, but insanely dangerous to all of reality if it didn't succeed. In short, I don't like her one bit. Like her as a character, sure. But as a person? She is trash.

Lmao, Emelia lambasted her brother-in-law for how he viewed her husband then proceeds to mercilessly insult him and his work, and write him out as nothing more than a " glorified vending machine fixer" with a worthless job that anyone could do. Then she spends all her time arrogantly rambling about hating another man as the fuel that she needs for her survival and doing the work of a hundred technicians. What kind of a person writes characters like this? Are we really supposed to root for her?
@MrLilredmachine5 ай бұрын
I mean, she's certainly a character. I don't think you have to like her, the story is kind of about her facing the reality that the Deering that didn't get killed was telling the truth, and that accepting that was what allowed her back.

Obligatory "Oh boy! Three AM!" aside, Am I wrong for drawing connections between Site 43 and Site 13?
@trocytev878311 ай бұрын
Nah, PHMD's role in this mess has some parallels to Elliot Emerson sending Site-13 to the main universe. In the grand scheme of things, Place intentionally sent something to another universe (some ectoplasm to the original Site-43, creating the leak that spawned SCP-5243 and the impetus to build SCP-5956) to save his own skin while viewing the target universe as disposable. And he's got a body count like Emerson, too - because he's from the universe where 5956 became a time paradox that then devoured reality because Place stole the damn thing and left for ADMONITION's Earth, he is responsible for the deaths of billions, if not trillions. Although from there, things are vastly different. Emerson is of course caught by Site-13's anomalies and chained to the runic monster, while the articles for 5243 and 5956 indicate Place lives in a time loop that requires him to mess up one universe and utterly annihilate another. And he's already won, unlike Emerson.
