Glad you've broken down the streams into these good length vids, unable to catch the streams these days but love the discussion

Thanks! I realised my streams can be really long so that’s why I’ve invested more time in cutting the clips to form them into seperate videos. Working with an editor so the clips can come out a lot sooner after the livestreams end.

What a great set of questions in this one! Oh, and yoga is from India but was introduced in the west in the 19th century, but it really became huge as part of the 1960s counterculture that also saw people going vegetarian, etc. Of course, within 50 years, American capitalism transformed it into a vehicle to sell recycled American Apparel designs (w/ petroleum-based fabrics) as "healthy" less than 50 years later smh

I’m a late Gen Xer and I certainly grew up knowing that and not thinking of fashion as a concept or designers or luxury brands interchangeably. Now it seems that this new generation uses luxury brands and fashion interchangeably. To me there is some overlap between luxury brand/fashion industry and actual fashion, but the are not inherently the same thing.

Yoga is and has always been Indian - in fact, there are many different types of yoga practices that are practiced in India

When I think of AI in fashion, I would imagine it used for forecasting, trend analysis/prediction, eventually merchandising, allocation down to buying for big fast fashion groups, I'm sure Zara and H&M are using AI to a certain extent already.

9:00 for some strange reason? If you're well off it won't affect you
@FashionRoadmanАй бұрын
When I said for some strange reason I was more talking from the standpoint of it’s not dominating news stories constantly the way it was in 2008 for example. So I think other people might forget - hence why I always have to bring up the fact of us still being in an economic downturn / cost of living crisis If I wasn’t concerned about it, I wouldn’t bring it up constantly in my streams
@hansm.picazo2550Ай бұрын
@FashionRoadman oh sorry this is the first time i see you mention it. I think they don't talk about it because they don't want people to panic.

9:09 Exploitative in every way. When looking at the 3 pillars of sustainability People, Planet and Profit, Brandy Melville has grossly violated all there and came back for seconds

Whats with the Lulu lemon thing? Their clothes are made of synthetic plastic and the prices they charge are insane. Why do customers put up with lame clothe.

Yoga has always been Hindu ritual(India), and natural fibres are worn.

I think u mixed up Augmented Reality with AI when talking about the mirrors? I think AI is used a lot for concept and design in fashion tbh And Augmented Reality through glasses or mirrors is a whole other thing! All the clothes u can try on are already built from a human and is installed into the mirrors app which works the same as an instagram filter! Nothing to to with AI :)

Yoga began in Indian culture. It is a way of maintaining your health to enable you time to focus on spirituality . The exporting of Yoga to the western world changed its meaning. What you wear is meaningless, its the focus that is important a bit like meditation.
