Years ago I applied to a job where I had no experience doing anything that was listed in the job description. I only applied, because I qualified for the job according to the list of requirement qualifications. A week after applying they called me in for an interview. A week later they hired me.

Dawg I've applied for thousands. I have a bachelors in IT 3.5 GPA, good school and will have my Certificate in analytics next month. In the past month out of easily 500 applications I've maybe gotten 2 interviews.

I just got interviewed and the boss said I have the face and education. He also wants me to start immediately even though I don't have any experiences for the position and there are 3 more candidates out there. It made me feel uneasy.

I'd go for a senior accountant! You don't need to start at the basics because you probably know 80% of it. As long as you ask good questions and take good notes, you can make the move. You can do it!

Ask your firm! They're normally open to letting you try new positions. If not, your audit experience is super valuable to advisory positions. Idk about your experience, but when I was in audit, my clients would constantly ask for our advice.

I got turned away from jobs that where entry level requiring no experience, but then got hired for the job which required experience that I didn’t have however I ticked all other boxes.
