I watch all of these videos with a drooling mouth. It is a shame i can not have any of these sea food in my country. The only thing i can get are mussels and they are a bit tiny. Not many people care about continuity of the species so they harvest the shit out of them.

A very enjoyable video, I could almost taste the lobster! James is a lucky boy spending this wonderful time with Dad... plus learning along the way. When I was a kid, my cousin would come to my house and we would go looking for yabbies in the local creek. Only narrow in most places, the yabbies would be under the rock ledge along the waters edge, we had cubes of meat supplied by our Grandmother, tied to a long string, you just had to sit it out! Worked every time, my uncle would do the cooking but if we had a female with eggs, we had to take it back... Our uncles would go to local saltwater creek and always came home with crabs and sometimes huge lobsters, like yours but about twice the size, mostly bright blue. That was 60 years ago and it seems like yesterday! 🦘

Hi John I know you refer to the stomach as poop but what you seem to fail to realise is that the stomach is full of beautiful delicious sea weed other delicious eadible gifts from the ocean. I refer to the intestinal track as the poop line. The internal organs along with any “delicious edible gifts” will also contain any harmful chemicals or bacteria that the lobster may have ingested.

At 22:28, when you said “Right..”, I finished it off in my head as “That’s a proper boil”… you didn’t disappoint! 😂 Side note, my 6 year old loves to watch your channel with me before bed. James seems such a well behaved lad you and the Mrs. have done a fine job with him ... now on your videos esecially the foraging episodes you always seem so knowlegable about what everything is and the part it plays -- I am still waiting on the episode where you pull something out from under a rock and go " What the heck is this? Never saw one of these before " and if James and I have our way it will be a baby plesiosaurus .....

Haha. In a few videos I do find things and say “I don’t know the exact name for that..” but I will know what it is. For example it will be part of the Nudibranch family ( sea slug ) or it will be a type of isopod etc. but I have been passionate about these things for 30 odd years. 😊🦞🦀
